You are such an amazing artist and teacher thank you so much for sharing with us your talents and imagination. I have been inspired by you and you are my favorite. Please don't ever give up and what I would not give to have your imagination. I am learning more and more. May you have the most prosperous and joyous year in 2013 and I will forever be your fan as you are my mentor. God bless. Donna.
I'm a beginner and I had a go at this with one needle rather than two, as I only typically use one, doing one side of the pattern then the other and it turned out lovely! Thank you for putting the video up. Your videos have helped me a lot in my new hobby, so thank you, thank you, thank you... now to sell the little buggers so I can get more supplies :)
You make everything look easy ; I am reallly new to beading and am so anxious to get started :) ..... I feel a beat store trip coming at me quick :) .... Thank you so much
This necklace is great! Can't wait to try it. I'm currently obsessed with SD. Warning to all, all Super Duos are not created equal and even the best ones sometimes have to have their holes poked open. Fortunately for this beautiful necklace, you don't need to worry if yours aren't the "proper" shape, as they aren't nestling together. Once again, this is a stunner :-)
Super duo's are created equally, it's the twin beads that are not. But yes you sometimes have to poke the holes open. Do not make this with twin beads it will look horrible :-)
I love this. Had to do it. When I finally did it, I loved it so much. It gets a lot of compliments when I wear it....Thanks for the great tutorial. Muah.
Hi Gianna, I started off on your beginner channel, and now I,m able to follow some of your advanced designs on this channel, Yay ! Well, I made this necklace and I love the way it came out. It lays nicely on my neck, I think I will get some more colors in the super duos. I also made the small triangle earrings from your beginner channel to match. I added a S crystal on the bottom. Thanks for another great project ! Love your work ! Evelyn
Thanks Donna, you're really sweet :-) My imagination mostly comes from adjusting pieces I have been inspired by and thinking "that's beatiful but it would look better if this bead is replaced by that bead" or "Let me eleborate on this simple piece by adding a whole bunch of other beads". If you want to train your imagination it is possible. Best piece to start with is the simple netting basic necklace tut by taking out unrelated beads, for instance bugles and cubes and start replacing. :-)
I've done two of these with twin beads, just because is all i can get in my country, and i replaced the seed beads in the bottom with 4 mm bicones, and it has been my most acclaimed work, so even if it's not with superduo, it is workable, so thank You
yes there are called superduo's check it out on ebay. You can also buy twin beads, they are cheaper but the result would be simulair. However the superduo stand to Swarovski as the twin bead stands to rhinestone quality wise
I like to dive in head first LOL .....my first project. I made a tubular cover for a chapstick ; peyote two colors I had on hand; no pattern. HOLY COW ; Over all it turned out well construction wise but the two beads I picked were obviously Czech and a Japanese brand.... What a lumpy mess LOL The size differences were even more exaggerated from pulling everything so tight around the tube. Live and learn I am a bit more intimated by my next shopping trip LOL : thanks again
I just made this. It's so classy and elegant. I was wondering if you're having any problems with your Miyukis lately. My last tube of seed beads had a lot of bad ones and you wouldn't believe how many Superduos I had to discard because the holes weren't drilled all the way through. I had to take the whole thing apart just as I finished the first row because I had a bad Superduo in the fourth group of beads I'd added. All that aside, it's a lovely design. Thanks for sharing it.
me too I like to start really hard and work my way to more simpel. Turn out I can't always wrap my brain around simpel. My macrame projects will show you that much lol
Hi Cthepower, if you are a new bearder I have a special channel for beginning beader to start at if you want to start a little easier. It's called "b4pbakup" (yes without the "C") It's video and talk instead of to this being just pictures. Not as many projects there yet but trying to at least get all the basics up there so this channel is easier to understand :-)
It looks like a great necklace but I do better when I see you do it rather than have to read it. English subtitles are great if you don’t speak English but this style of video makes this much harder to follow and please consider redoing this so I can make it. I need to actually watch you thread every part of it in motion not just see pictures.

I always punch through them with a strong needle, so far I think I was only unable to go though 3 of them
