- Ansar Abbasi story has weight when he argues that sources tell him that Khan will remain in jail even after being acquitted in all cases. Because the powers have decided to bring new cases to keep him in jail. Makes sense: Cases against Khan were always motivated by the politics to contain him, and the politics of Sharifs, Zardari and Generals continues.
Some points to note which are completely opposite to Pak. I think India doesnot have a caretaker system. So when elections are conducted, the ruling PM doesnt step down. India has moved on to electronic voting machines. Maybe this was the second or third time they used them. India doesnot have the bullshit of reserve seats for women or technocrats or ulema. Who ever wins the elections, the other party accepts its defeat.

And if you see past year of Rahul Gandhi's own RUclips channel. he met with SME's workers, university students even political figures. Check his discussions. They talk about agriculture reforms to SME's loans to internal political issues to NRI's impact. Rahul is just an example there's many political figures in India who are intellectualy strong and this shows that there's is a big chunk of indian population which is more liberal and educated. Not brainwashed by ISPR.

I completely agree with your observations of self grandiosing of Indians. My observation, after interacting with alot of indians here in Canada. The Indians that are BJP supporters and mainly from the state of Gujrat, I have found they think very highly of themselves. Where as the people from other parts of India, I found them very humble.
