First of all you likley won't need all of these filters, it depends onyour situation but, there is very little pressure loss. About 25-30 psi would be the minimum.
Do you have suggestions for a pump? We are renovating our home next year (in northern Ontario), and currently have a pump in the house that is extremely loud. We have heard of pumps in the lake, instead of in the home, but have no clue what they entail. Thanks!
Nope! If it ever clogged you would burn out your pump. Far better to flow out that tank periodically. See this video ruclips.net/user/shortsmSid_O8GLq0
No mention of pump. Presumably assumes a submerged pump. If this was in Great Lakes where bottom can get quite turbid during stormy weather, perhaps suction pump and screening system choices need discussion?
@@water_estore Yes, but subject is LAKE Water Filtration. Many lake systems would have some type of initial screen before water gets to the pump or the filtration system. And this might vary depending on whether submerged or shallow well pump is used. Perhaps a subject for a future video ;)
If you have low pH and lots of sediment in your water you would add the Automatic Backwashing Sediment filter before the pH neutralizing filter.
Best explanation I've seen yet!
Glad it was helpful! Please share with friends and family
Excellent explanation thank you!
You're very welcome. Please share video with friends and family.
Another extremely informative video. Thank you!
You are very welocme. Please share video with friends and family!
Where would you place the hot water tank in that diagram? before the filtration or after?
Great question. It goes after the UV system.
What kind of pressure do you need for water to pass through all those filters and still have normal flow?

Dose a tannin filter have a (color removal resin )in the Vessel ?
Grerat question. Yes it does, see here for more info. ruclips.net/video/7he5dEdj_Dw/видео.html

Sorry, I know very little about pumps.
Hi Gary, great vids. Can I install the spin down filter before the pressure tank. Lots of sediment build up in pressure.

I am just talking about the water filtration process not the pump.

And what if the source (lake, river, city mains) changes periodically?
Very soldom, but it does happen. Then you need to either adjust, or turn something on or off.
do tannins hurt you?
Nope. Tea and wine are tannins.
Why not a sediment filter before it goes to pressure tank ?? It will save the tanks life.
It will keep the pressure tank cleaner, but if it becomes clogged it will kill your pump.
Do you have a toll free number
