If you go to the Philippines in Christmas and New Year, yoy csn segue to Allan for Ati-atihan, Iloilo for Dinagyang, and/or Cebu City for Sinulog. Those street festivals are wild. In between you could spend a few quiet days at the beach or a miuntain waterfall to recharge. New York doesn't have those options and you'll just feel cold.

​@ScottauchterlonieMusic Chinese language is harder to learn than the Filipino language for an English-speaking person. The basic reason is that Filipino and English languages share common alphabet. As a proof, ordinary Filipinos easily learn the English language.

Scott, now you see when some videos show why in the Philippines videoke singers in street side places with marvellous voices are just getting walked by from pedestrians. This is good quality voices are quite ordinary. More often than not, (sadly) It is not enough to have a great voice you have to have the matching looks or the (dance) moves- and one better be lithe and nibble for ones`s performance to catch attention. I should know, I am Filipino too and oh well so yo know, I can`t sing to save my bum😆
