Shadow was so strong he literally forced sonic to go super . Let’s be real shadow didn’t need his super form as much as sonic. And shadow still got the drop on sonic in base 😭 shadow still won in my opinion.
Shadow has more advantages, he has more abilities in his powers compared to Sonic who has more skills. If Sonic always took the situation seriously he could put Shadow in difficulty except that he has not acquired the sense of responsibility like Spiderman he must lose someone like the almost loss of Tom which made him angry. And besides Shadow is older than Sonic so more experienced it's like taking a guy who starts MMA and a champion, Sonic didn't think he had a rival what will make him stronger is his fight against Metal Sonic or Metal Overlord with maybe the help of Silver coming from the future since at the end of the third film it seems that the master emerald is lost during the loss of consciousness of Sonic and Shadow so it will logically not be used
So at the beginning of the movie Shadow beats him, towards the end Shadow remains more powerful with a small difference then in the 4th or even the 5th they will be equal or maybe Sonic who takes the advantage with a small difference following Metal Sonic then towards the end of the franchise Sonic would be superior with a mid difference
After all the years he has lived and he has acquired all the lessons of life during his adventures it would be very logical. During this time Shadow will meet Rouge but will not have enemies as hardcore as Sonic which he will not make him as developed as Sonic maybe yes if there is a crossover for Metal Overlord but hey Shadow has nothing to improve it's just that he lacks a family. Sonic is rather the opposite who has not developed his full potential
