ehhh the duckstomps are good videos for beginners to learn what they should avoid (and why they should avoid it, bc Simp explains his reasoning). I like a ratio of two duckstomps + one tough/really cool duckmatch, but anything is better than Anichess
That was my thought as well, but there was really no need to rush the capture. The knight had no safe moves and threatening it with a pawn baited Simp's opponent into defending it with a pawn of their own, which then allowed Simp's queen to monopolize the center square. If they had captured with the queen, the pawn to E5 move would have forced Simp to move their queen away. So basically... free tempo.
that allows the opponent to build tempo by trying to kick away the queen, especially because the duck can make it hard to retreat, unnecessary risk to take a trapped knight
In my opinion, the knight is better than both the bishop and the rook in duck chess. You said at 4:19 that you are only down a pawn, but I think that being down two knights for two bishops is possibly even worse than being down a piece. As a general rule I would value the knight in duck chess the same as a rook in normal chess, and the rook in duck chess only about as much as the knight in normal chess.
Knowing when the game went sideways and what to do at that junction next time, is much better than where i end up after losing a game most of the time lol. My last duck chess game, i know my duck priorities and coverage was garbage, in the most vague unfixable way, lmao
If the game goes to time, you either need to have matched your opponent early, or you will be forced to match him late. The question then comes down to if you are better playing rushed early, or I the end game. Playing all the right moves early can help you avoid a challenging endgame, but an even opponent may prevent that and end up with an endgame that favors them because of the time pressure on you. Anecdotally, this game Simp lost because he rushed a move to trap the King and gave up the passed pawn. If the clocks were flipped and Simp had 90 seconds to the opponents 30, Simp likely gets the win in this drawn endgame instead of the loss.
This is a very well earned 80% win-rate, as well as us viewers learn a great game as material for Duck Chess. Thx simp (Simp is most likely 2140 rating) Side-note: Interesting you kept anonymous Think about the fame, you know, you have proven yourself an excellent chess player in this game. You've turned the win rating into a joke that doesn't make sense. The only thing that makes sense now is the fact that you were rolled out like a coward.
How is that a free Queen when the bishop attacks the king from C3? That makes no sense. This is probably why noob players like you never win a single game in your life and cry cheater.
GG! Thanks for featuring our game!
Is there a 4p duck chess variant? I kinda feel like that would be beyond awesome
Hey there!
you should put this on your resume, you beat a 300% undefeated opponent
The sportsmanship from both of you is beautiful.
@@sdoijhadaoskdjfasokd I feel that needs 3 ducks.
Instead of just showing his first 3 easy wins, he kept playing until he lost just to entertain us. Definitely not a coward

I wasn't expecting the final boss of the duck chess speed run to appear on a random Sunday in October
Eric Rosen did not appear yet.

this guy is not the final boss I've played him. There's better guys than him.
"I should learn a few things from this guy"
This is the most gigachad thing ever said in this channel
he may have lost, but at least he kept his honor
Simp is not a coward because he did not rage quit and he'll learn from his mistakes
The true win-rate was the friends we made along the way.
So true!
I swear ive seen that 4 player chess enthusiast he played in the duck chess world championship qualified things that Eric Rosen did
and simp held preyy good against a gm of duck chess lmao. simp ftw
Had my victories against the giants but didn’t qualify for the KOs this year unfortunately. In the meantime, y’all should go watch the W4PCC :)

Way more entertaining than duckstomping a D&D party of 1500s in 4 minutes.
Didn't know DnD has an Elo system

That might be why I traded my bishops for his knights early on purpose :)
That is absolutely not being destroyed by any means. That dude barely won.

So I have a math final coming up, could I buy private tutor?
I think it's time to give simp challenges while doing duck chess
4:30 you could have trapped his horse Qe7 duck c8.
defending it with rook would be mate
and losing the rook for a knight is worth it in duck chess
now we need Aniduckchess
diamond membership since 9/11 💀
In the final position it is possible to go Kb6 Db4 so you should be able to capture it eventually, with h3 and Bg4 this might be still defendable
Well, that was not very smart
Why didn't simp just take the knight with queen in game 1 move 4?
You probably had that won uf you hadn't blundered there. The bushop was probably stronger than the rook
3:13 why not Nh4 ducke2?
Why didn't simp just take the queen in game 1 move 4?
He didn't en passent!!
So there are high level duckchess players^^
Knights must be better than bishops in duck chess, they can't be blocked. Avoid those trades!
Simp still held his own, not bad.
Honest question: Is it generally a good idea to match your opponent's speed when playing chess?
With a 5 minute timer, if he hadn't done so Simp would have easily lost on time.

No en passant
Dislike + Testosterone
Also en passant is forced
Not sure if that first opponent even knew the rules, given how he basically doesn't use the duck.
