  • Level 1: Back to the Basics has been finished! This past week and a half I started with the underlying fundamentals with python programming. Most of the objectives (for me personally) were refreshers, but I still learned some new concepts pertaining to security in Python.
    Why Am I Learning Python for Cybersecurity?: Python is one of the most commonly used languages throughout the software development and security industry. With its extensible libraries and "easy-to-learn" syntax, Python offers great scripting capabilities for security professionals. Not only is Python good for scripting, but it's fast. Starting with a high-level programming language, like Python, is a great way to introduce yourself to the security industry.
    I hope you can find this Episode and Level 1 helpful while you start to learn Python.

      I first start out with an outline, like I have in the description below. I then try to measure my work with Pomodori, 25 minutes of studying, 5 minutes of break. I try to get 3 - 5 of pomodori done a day of my personal work!

    What language should I learn first?

    • @Al-nj6ww
      @Al-nj6ww 5 лет назад +2

      Depends on what your goals are. Python is the most user friendly out of all of them and easiest to pick up IMHO. It's extremely powerful and the syntax is pretty clean. However, learning Python first will spoil you. If you try to learn a second language like C for example, you will have to handle things that you took for granted in Python, since Python took care of the details behind the scenes (like memory management for example). I learned Java first, then C++, and now I'm programming in C and Python.
