- Level 1: Back to the Basics has been finished! This past week and a half I started with the underlying fundamentals with python programming. Most of the objectives (for me personally) were refreshers, but I still learned some new concepts pertaining to security in Python.
Why Am I Learning Python for Cybersecurity?: Python is one of the most commonly used languages throughout the software development and security industry. With its extensible libraries and "easy-to-learn" syntax, Python offers great scripting capabilities for security professionals. Not only is Python good for scripting, but it's fast. Starting with a high-level programming language, like Python, is a great way to introduce yourself to the security industry.
I hope you can find this Episode and Level 1 helpful while you start to learn Python.

Utopia the most secure and secure system in the world!
What's your study method, how do decide when and when not to take breaks etc, it's a great video, I'm glad to see someone who sees python for what it is.
I first start out with an outline, like I have in the description below. I then try to measure my work with Pomodori, 25 minutes of studying, 5 minutes of break. I try to get 3 - 5 of pomodori done a day of my personal work!
@@collinsinfosec That's awesome, thanks for the reply I'm sure it'll help a lot of us with our studying
Love the video as always Grant
Thank you, this led me to Corey Schefers work.
Funny thing is, I added this to my Pluralsight playlist but haven't taken it yet (since I'm studying for the CompTIA Advanced Security practitioner exam).
HI Grant! thanks for being so transparent about IT/Cyber Security and the required pathways too study for a career with realistic outcomes... I myself am just starting on this road and appreciate all the great content from this channel...Cheers Buddy! b.t.w SUBS!!! :-)
How are things coming along? I've just found this and am interested in cooperation with others to learn

Hello Collins! I had a feedback for the series. Please try improving the mic(sound) quality. As it is so buggy that it takes the concentration out of the whole video!
Hope I wasn't rude!
P.S.:- Love the content btw bruh!!
Thanks!
1:10 ok here you just sound like heath ledgers joker lol. Impressive...
And kinda scary. I love it! 😂
Really good information thanck you
Love these series !!
Great course
What language should I learn first?
Depends on what your goals are. Python is the most user friendly out of all of them and easiest to pick up IMHO. It's extremely powerful and the syntax is pretty clean. However, learning Python first will spoil you. If you try to learn a second language like C for example, you will have to handle things that you took for granted in Python, since Python took care of the details behind the scenes (like memory management for example). I learned Java first, then C++, and now I'm programming in C and Python.
Al cool thanks!
@@Al-nj6ww I second this. Learning C opens your eyes.
Hi Collins... It's really helpful thanks
please can you tell me the difference between system security and information security ? thank u :)

You have connected TV to laptop? If yes then how?
I have not connected my TV to my laptop before, I am sorry!
I guess this isn't any rocket science. Anyway hope your TV and laptop supports HDMI port, if yes connect using a HDMI cable and press windows + P. Select the option you want the screen that comes up
@@cruzsylves5 how to connect 2 monitor (TV) with 1 laptop. There is only one HDMI port in the laptop.
Google HDMI switcher
@@cruzsylves5 It will display both monitor at once ? Can I use both monitor at same time ?
9:24 You lost me at integer. What's an integer?
Search it up Michael :)
The whole point is to learn and explore, don’t ask people to tell you, look it up and do research.

Jeez dude did you get a security complaint yet? You were way too loud!

Noobs ..... Start solving ctfs
Your voice its very difficult to listen in this video, and become very hard to understand. Worst for me that speech other language.
Sorry about that, I am testing out a new microphone, most likely will not use it in the future.
