My collection has jumped from 4 to 14 plants over 2 weeks, thanks to finding a Canadian site that has a great selection of hoyas. They are reasonably priced, haven't pad more than $30 each and they've come with a minimum of 12 leaves! This could be a good thing or a bad thing. LOL 🇨🇦

@Horsewoman-pt2ku Crystal Star Nursery. The website is currently on a lockdown of sorts. They have what they call 'treasure hunts' every once in a while it seems. I don't know how it works, but it should be back to normal by the 22nd. Canada shipping only $20 flat rate via FedEx.

Oh, then you're definately hooked. Welcome to the rabbit hole. I've also ordered from PlantHaven Toronto, with great success. They ship to Canada - of course - and to the US. Plus they have a large selection of Hoyas. Thanks for watching and adding your comment.

Never completely give up on finding a plant, just rearrange your wish list. It took me a couple of years to find a Rangsan - at a price I was willing to pay. Thanks for watching and adding your comment.

Beautiful plants all!. (Loved seeing the wild turkey "passing through" behind you.)

Thanks. The turkeys in the area are so much fun. My neighbor puts out corn at her bird feeders for them, so they pass through a couple of times a day. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Such a pleasure to watch a video with plants that are well cared for. Your videos/channel always motivate me to up my care game and to learn more about the plants in my home, most of which are Hoya. I’ve had plants most of my life and I never tire of hearing about new methods of care or even being
reminded of the tried and true methods of plant care. Great content! Thank you!👌🪴🥰

Luv luv the color of that nicholsonii! I had one in my early hoya collecting and like so many hoyas, it got root rot. I finally purchased a Nicholson new guinea at a good price.I had the cutis porcelana late last year and it was doing great one moment, then it just died in February. Roots were fine, don't know what happened. Like you, I'm focused in particular hoyas now. Trying to fulfill my wishlist! Digging that afro beat! Thanks for sharing! 👍 Dee, NY

I've been rather lucky that I've had so few casualties. Congrats on the NGG. I'll keep my eye on the cutis-porcelana. I like many kinds of music, so I'm trying to mix it up a bit. Thanks for your comments and for watching.

I saw a large bird strolling in your yard. What was it? 😊
I loved the Nicholsoniae/Hellwigiana, which has been on my list. Sorry, the first one didn't survive. Thanks for the video. Have a great weekend

That large bird was a wild turkey. My neighbor has a bird feeder and she puts out corn for the turkeys. I have a solar birdbath. So they travel through my yard for a drink on the way to her yard a meal, a couple of times a day. With luck, we'll see poults (chicks) in a few weeks. It was turkey love season recently. Thanks for watching and adding your comment.

@PlantedInRI How do the turkeys respond to you I you're outside? That's so cool...

    • @PlantedInRI

They seem to wander off in another direction, or if they notice us, they'll go elsewhere for a while.. They've shown no aggression, and will wait patiently as my neighbor puts out more food. We all like having them around, so we give 'em some space. We don't bother them and they don't bother us.

OMG I choked when you showed your nicholsoniae! I recently lost mine as well. One day I looked at it and noticed the leaves were wilty, I watered and then a week later the stems were shriveled. I cut it up and have only been able to save one piece of it. Mine isn't the hellwigiana type but the regular green nicholsonaie. I'll be looking for a replacement for it too. 11:54 is that a turkey in your yard? haha

I have the regular nicholsoniae as well, but so far, no problems. Yes, that is a turkey strolling through the yard. My neighbor has a bird feeder, so they pass through a couple of times a day. Thanks for watching and for your comment.

Good eyes. Yes, they make their way through my backyard a couple of times a day to drink at my birdbath and visit my neighbor's bird feeder. She provides the food, I provide the water. Thanks for watching and adding your comment.
