Right?! I actually felt all warm and fuzzy and went "aww that's so cute!" seeing him model for it, I'm so glad he's become more confident to the point where he was even modelling for the store! It's just really nice to see!

Ed and Emily are definitely showing that just because you're an adult and all grown up, you don't have to stop being "fun like a kid", and frankly, I think we all love it and think it's adorable how they act with eachother.

An app to keep track of your inventory in the warehouse would be useful. People can scan in/out merchandise. Makes it easier to find stuff too.
And adding a barcode scanner for inventory. 😅
Thats a lot of work for their small inventory.

Little tip with missing things: when heavier stuff is missing form orders, check the weight on the package. A streamer I watch recently bought a mainboard and a 4090 and the 4090 was missing. To prove it didn't get packed he checked the weight, which was around 2kg and thus way too light for the supposed contents.
man, i remember you guys just living at home, thought rex was a boy, she still lived in your guest bedroom. it was so smallscale yet you had quite a few subs. now, you got a brick and mortar store, a whole zoo, now a wearhouse! merch, so many reptiles, amphibians, insects, and are almost to 3 MILLION subscribers!! and you still are based in the minnesconsin area too!!! i watched the whole zoo building saga, Ed coming out of his shell, just everything. im so happy for you guys for how well your all doing!

It’s weird to think that I originally started to watch this channel to get over my childhood fear of snakes and am now an avid reptile enthusiast. I still remember when Rex was a guy and it’s unbelievable how far y’all have come!
Same here, I had a bad phobia of snakes to the point I couldn't even see them on TV without a panic attack. Then I met someone who has snakes and seeing her photos started making me really interested in snakes, so I started watching SD and these guys helped me become a lover even to the point of having a boa and a corn snake. Sadly the boa has since passed (she was pretty old when we got her) and I've had to rehome my corn due to circumstances out of my control.

Maybe it is more common in Europe, we are used here to NEVER show up anything that is related to security. Show related things, like position or cables or connections makes it more vulnerable!
For the store/zoo they haven't shown them, but I think for the warehouse their assumption is that they won't be making the address public so no one will know where it is. Still, I agree, not the best idea to go "here's where the camera box is going to live!" - but maybe the point is that it's all uploaded to the cloud (or something) so it's still secure? I am unsure.
@OhSoUnicornly it is the internet. Finding out an address for the pure purpose to damage someone won't be hard, sadly. Security first imo, never show up the security tools you have. I am glad they were careful with the shop, not showing what they did, and what changed!
@@anime9718 Actually thinking about it, judging by their past videos, I strongly suspect what they said was a deliberately misleading lie! Think of their last herping video where they went to such lengths to hide their location, even showing footage from other places. That, plus Ed's IT background, I doubt Ed would be so silly as to show the correct spot on camera (I hope). Maybe it's even a strategy so that if someone breaks in and goes their to look for the cameras, they'd know it was someone watching the videos.
I hope, anyway...

@@OhSoUnicornly they don't really have that many rooms in the warehouse if i remember correctly do they? the office, break room, hall and restroom. so where else to put it? also a red herring sounds like a lot of work for poor ed instead of just NOT showing it haha (just wearing a mask and the camera is useless anyway let's be real)
and it would be super easy to find the warehouse. they've literally filmed themselves walking in from the street including the number on the door (ALSO visible in this video, it's a freaking glass door)
but as for now they don't really have anything valuable in there, a break in situation of ppl wanting to steal huge loads of... terra earth or whatever seems unlikely
that said they eat candy etc. from their fan mail, something that weirds me out a lot more than that haha :p love them tho
Well done getting the store live! As someone who manages an online store for a cultural venue and helped build said store last year it's a LOT more work than anyone thinks. It looks fantastic! I do recommend checking the alt text on images and adding short product descriptions. E.g. what's the notebook made of, recycled paper? How much does the tumbler hold etc. If you need a volunteer for writing alt text and copy, I'm happy to help.
The absolute _second_ anyone asks me what I want for Christmas this year, the Snake Shed Pendant kit is gonna be at the tippiest top of that list!! I’m so excited! It feels like just the other day you opened the zoo.
I feel like since you've got that eeveelution style on one of your shirts, one of your clutches should be named after the evolutions granted you would have to have a clutch with a very specific number, but next time you have a clutch with a specific number, you need to have it be the evolution clutch. I would love to see Emily struggle to draw each of the evolutions and I love the evolutions too. I have done fan art of them and it's bad every time but one thing that's common in several of my eeveelution fan arts is an Evie mother nursing all her fully evolved babies because for anyone who's old enough to remember when you were just gifted and Evie and couldn't actually catch them, you would put the parent straight in the daycare with a ditto usually and just evolve all of her babies and never evolve the mom or dad
I'm gonna say it again. To see how yall have "eeveloved" from being in you're house with Feed My Pet Fridays to having your own store, warehouse, merch, etc makes my heart so happy! Yall are totally awesome and I cant wait to see what yall come up with next. Congrats again Emily and Ed!

Very wise decision using the professional photo shoot. High quality thumbnails move products, that's the part of the online store where people's eyes light up and stare at the thing they are gonna buy, you want it to look GOOD.

I'm so glad to see the warehouse is done. I have a coupe of questions, is shipping for merch etc open to overseas fans as well as in the US and is everything sold out or just being input into the system? I've just tried adding some tshirts to cart and it seems like they're all out of stock 🙃
Apparently yes on the international shipping; I’ve tried adding a magnet to the cart, and checkout allows me to select my country when entering the shipping address. Just waiting for more stock to justify the shipping cost!

I haven't followed this channel much, so for the longest time I didn't put the zoo snake discovery and channel together... 😅 I actually visited the place yesterday (my second time) and got to touch the reptiles! Happy to have learned this whole time it's been in MN, and I'm supporting a very good RUclipsr and the exotic reptiles! Btw a tortoise was watching Rex with us (sort of)!!!
