This video reminds me of my son. He worked all winter to try out for a travel team...and he got cut. Since then he has been practicing more and harder than he did before and has been beating out the oldest players on his team for play time. His goal is to be a great hitter. His favorite player is Big Papi Ortiz. After every game that he thinks he did poorly hitting, he asks me to take him to the park by our house and practice hitting. Still in his uniform from the game he will go out and practice...yesterday it payed off and in practice he HIT HIS FIRST HOME RUN over the fence! He said he was happy but he won't be satisfied until its in a game...#PracticeContinues, #TheJourney
HornedFrogBaseball This is a great video with a great message. Really, you guys need to keep it up. I'm a diehard ALABAMA fan, but TCU baseball is an exceptional program. Go Bama, Go Frogs.
I don't attend TCU but this video inspires me to be a better player. I was always that kid no one wanted, but I never let it get me down. Awesome video
@Amber Patterson, this video did change me too. I work harder every day at practice because failure is part of life. I have done a lot of crap, but at the end of the day when I thank God for the game of baseball, its all worth it. So keep working every day in all aspects of your life.
Theo Stegall, don't ever let anyone tell you, you can't do it. Use failure as a way to get better, and determination to give you the distance because you are capable as long as you have the heart. Good luck, I have the same dream you desire.
I don't think you're quite yet understanding that it's saying through hard work and dedication the "winning will take care of its self". Also the statement "you compete against the game" is explaining that the game itself is the thing you must conquer, the other team is just a part of the game. Personally I believe the message conveyed was strong and it made perfect sense. You'll understand some day.
That's way some guys are saying "The Grind is better" "Quiet confident is my fav"...they don't catch all of this...this is pure gold...can change anyone life if put anything on practice...
You gotta listen the words...this can define lives...the grind and quiet confidence are greatness...but this...if you apply this to your life you can achieve anything...
I'm in AAA Little League and I started playing when I was 4. I have been playing catcher since I want it bad. I have 3 teams scouting me! For majors Little League Rocklin
Hey Nick is there anyway you would send me the audio you used for this video?? I want to use it for a promo video for our travel team. I will give you credit in the video, thank you it would be a huge help.
This is embarrassing... "The game knows who should be rewarded"...? Seriously? That doesn't even make sense. "Winning will take care of its self"..? Anyone that has played competitive sports or even watched it knows that's not always true. "You compete against the game"? pretty sure you play against another team. Might be a bit early to call Omaha.. It's painfully obvious it's a TCU advertisement.. The entire script is WAY over the top. Nice plug of the coaches kid... A million thumbs down.
TCU makes the sickest videos..."The Grind" is still my favorite
This is mine...hear this words...the grind lifts you...but this...defines lives and built champions in all aspects...

+Amber Patterson I know you posted this a while ago, but I just saw your comment. Any update on your son, did he make it this year?
Greatness is earned. Nothing worth celebrating comes easy. Embrace the process. Enjoy the journey.
LIABLE- Great, inspirational video, and all you can find to comment on is something on the kid's face that he was born with. Brilliant!
This are the best words ever to make a lifestyle based on...you will achieve ANYTHING if you do it so...
