    I think it was the 2nd Winnipeg goal, Hughes was in front of Demko defending and literally just gets shoved to the ice with the puck nowhere near him. The puck goes to the net and he's on his ass out of the play, still trying to recover, and they score. Like what an absolute joke man. It's just atrocious.

    NHLJets defensive play during pk blocking shots aligned from other players disrupt passing lanes, and predict opponents moves when they maintain puck goalie pads are flat puck less rebounds Maintaining alignment and vigilance is key to shutting down the opponent's offense

    penalties went both ways tbh. Players like Myers cannot control their height when other guys like iafallo are 1 foot shorter than him. Same with Lowry and whoever got wrecked. I think they called an instigator on him because he ran straight to lowry rather than playing the game and lowry dropped his gloves to fight. Shouldnt be an instigator, but the same can be said about where was scheifeles embellishment when he didnt get in the scrum and got bitched by Miller. Im a jets fan btw. As long as canadian team wins the cup that isnt edmonton im happy.

    Hate the way the Canucks play the defensive 2 on 1. It is realistically a 2 on 2. The defenseman and the goalie against the 2 rushers. Let the goalie take the puck carrier and the defenseman take the off man. Demko can handle on-rusher covering the net.

      Yep that was way too easy for them. Maybe be unpredictable and throw a hit early to force an early pass or something different. Ended up being a pylon for a free tap in

      Definitely feel you here. The Jets D used to leave Hellybuck out to drive with way more 2 on 1s for easy tap ins too. Canucks D just need to work on their positioning and have active sticks

    Myers is right about playing two teams. The refs seem to be favoring the other teams lately, not calling penalties when we're clearly getting illegal hits that they ignore, but calling penalties on us for the slightest infractions. Taller players are basically handicapped for being tall. What's with the refs this year. The entire season has been filled with bizarre calls.

    • @Gavinskey
      @Gavinskey 4 месяца назад +3

      Refs are bad every year but this year has been exceptionally bad. Not just Canucks games, but most games are being decided by the refs these days and not the players.

      Both teams had 4 PP each so what is this whining about? Want to complain, but, got 2 calls that shouldn't have been called against the Jets too. I would understand if it was like the Jets got 6 PP and the Canucks got only 1. The terrible officiating was terrible, but, it went both ways.
      Also Jets are 10-2 vs the Canucks in the last 12.

      @@TL80808 the Canucks shut out Dallas and haven’t lost to them yet this year. They are. Tied 1-1 with both Seattle and Calgary. But the rest yes it is concerning. Especially when the Canucks have been able to beat the elite teams in the east quite handily, but to struggle with the teams they are going to be matched with in the west is not good. However I do feel the Canuck/Jets game was fairly close. Going 0-4 is not good, being undisciplined, making hits at poor times. Leading to the 3-2 goal. They have things the need to iron out. I do believe that tocchet is the one to get the guys to fix it.

    • @TL80808
      @TL80808 4 месяца назад

      @kk-en8ns I honestly think it was really close. I'm pretty sure the Canucks hit the post once or twice on their PP. If they did I think it would have been tied and going to OT because the Canucks would have tightened up their play.
      Canucks needed more of a push from their star players; a single shot when your down 2 in the final minutes just not going to cut it. Having said that as long as the Oilers don't come out of the West I'll be happy.

    When the Canucks couldn’t handle the physical play they ran around trying to hit everything that moved and put themselves out of position. Next thing you know the puck is in the net. What a laugh that clown trying to take on Lowry, he was lucky he let of or they would be still scraping his sorry ass off the ice. Really disappointed at the canucks in this game, Winnipeg has not scored more than 2 goals a game in their last 8 games, in fact they scored a grand total of 9 goals in their last 8, but ofc somehow and for some reason they score 4 against us tonight ? A team that has a rival goalie to theirs in Demko, and a team that is also top 5 in defensive numbers yes granted jets are a lil better in that category but still we're top 5! But for some hidden universal law reasons they are able to score 4 goals on us tonight(they haven't scored more than 2 in last 8 games!) it just blows my mind. I think in the end it is clearly because Winnipeg wants it more than we do, they came to this game thinking we're gonna win this game no matter what, while on the other side the canucks did not have that mentality coming in not even close to be honest, I think they came in thinking it's just another game and we've been winning alot lately so whatever, and Winnipeg came in thinking we gotta beat this team because they are at the top of the league and their goalie is up against ours this yr for the vezina so we gotta score as many as we can to show them our goalie is better than theirs and that we are the best Canadian team, so I give them credit because they came into this game with the right thinking right mentality while we did not. Honestly this game was inexcusable if you ask me, I am much more disappointed in this loss than the 4-0 shutout loss to Boston.

      As a Jets fan I agree. Was worried w/ scoring bec. we just won the previous game with a single goal the entire game. But agree that the Jets have been prepping for this game for weeks and treat the previous game as a tune up for the Canucks. Tbf they have been working on their PP for days and it finally worked on this game.

    • @VanMichael21
      @VanMichael21 4 месяца назад

      @@michaelhofer954 yes I know that and totally agree with, a win is a win. But what's your point? The emphasis on what I said is entirely on the canucks suck and very disappointing. I'm not saying the jets are not good because they win low scoring games, in fact to me that's even more impressive to win these low scoring games like 2-1, 3-2 etc..all I'm saying is they lacked offence in their recent games, because in their last 8 games none of those games they score more than 2 goals, so I'm just pointing out they've lacked offence especially lately, so it is a fact, but by no means am I taking anything away from their wins because like I said... to me a low scoring game win is more impressive imo. But for some reason they manage to double their usual output and score 4 on the canucks which that's what I'm trying to point out that it's because the canuck sucked in this game because they took the jets lightly. So if anything I'm praising the jets big time here because they bring their A game when it matters as opposed to the canucks who did not do that.
      So respectfully I must say your comment of a win is a win has no relevance to what I'm saying here.

    Canucks fans complaining about officiating should stop whining. The officiating was bad for both teams. The Jets capitalized on special teams and took advantage of poor Canuck positions to take advantage of odd man rushes in 2 minutes. You can't give up a good lead to the Jets, they're #1 in the league for goals against for a reason.

  • @kesler171717
    @kesler171717 4 месяца назад +2

    Meyers is right, the officiating this year has been unacceptably bad and last night was a prime example of it. The complete lack of consistency is the biggest issue, if one team does something and you call a penalty for it you have to do that both ways. I question if the ref had money on Winnipeg it was so bad last night.
