- We've been wondering about this one for awhile now and we finally have the means to successfully test this out. It's extremely difficult to do under normal circumstances but it certainly is possible!

in halo reach on the mission tip of the spear, you get a rocket warthog and your not supposed to be able to take it threw the whole mission, but you can actually push/punch it past the barriers, it has some glitchy effects at certain points

you might need two players, that's how i did it at least, but i haven't tried it on my own tho

The way I see they scripted it is:
Pelican_animate_hover
Test_for: Bansheebomb_touch_pelican
If yes: crash animation
If No: continue animation
End Script
+Insane_Ravenger Nah the banshee bomb doesn't do anything. If you saw later in the video, I shot down the banshee a little later after it fired it's banshee bomb. The banshee bomb still hit the pelican but had no effect because I shot down the banshee before it crossed a certain invisible barrier that triggers the pelicans exploding and crashing

if you bum rush it as soon as the mission starts, no time stopping for anything you can make it before the sticky goes off. you can save the marines but not the warthog

Is there anyway to fly a pelican without mods in halo 3
Party Bot I'm afraid not, the pelican is a vehicle only really driveable by the pilot biped, but if he did give master chief the pilot biped on a mission somehow, he could, but that would require mods :(
I've got a video idea. At 4:48 is it possible to get ahead of Johnson and his team at this part?
i think they run into the cave and despawn
They do despawn but you can get up with them. You kill the final jackal and grenade jump when you see them at the bridge. It requires perfect timing and positioning. Ive only done it once.

I found out a way to get a bullet reflecting marine. All you have to do is leave a marine where the hornets spawn by citadel and then do not skip loading point but still do other part of time travel glitch find a loading point and the marine should reflect bullets
these are the little things that make games so much more fun without even intended it to be

Ya there is. When you kill the final jackal and go up the wall thing, if you grenade jump the perfect timing and position you can be with them. I also think thats how you clone johnson.
Killer_Greag you can clone johnson by killing him before he climbs the waterfall earlier in the mission too.

He had a mod that makes the assault rifle fire spartan laser shots
On the back of the game case for halo 3 there's a picture of chief with a Gatling gun and the pelicans are still in the air....I think

one time i was playing coop and my game glitched and the banshees did not spawn
Can you save the marines in the warthog when you are in the base? They get blown up by a sticky.
Does that mean you can trigger it to explode?
Do you think you could kill the pelican turret operator and hop on the turret before it flies away and see where it goes, or are the turret operators invincible?

Halo 3, can you kill the brute chieften/Hammer brute on 117 before the cutscene starts?
Roblox Gaming LB you can but the chieftain will still show up in the cutscene

Where does the second pelican crash? I always suspected that it crashes in the water, but I'm not sure.

I've done this without mods and it glitched my game and I couldn't continue and when you enter the forest there was a screen glitch for me in split screen, I recorded it but I guess I deleted the vid because it was on my phone with bad quality...

My 360 is second hand, is there a way to test if mine is modded or not?
Fiend Herd Chances are it's not modded of you didn't specifically buy one that's modded. It's not like you can just go to a gamestop and buy a modded 360.
I have always wondered if it was possible to save the pelicans, one more thing i think you might be able to save is the warthog on the second mission of halo 3 where the grunts throw plasma grenades at it
Its scripted to blow up. You can get in it though with timing.
+Killer_Greag It might be possible if you could somehow skip the trigger point but there's no way I can think of without doing some extreme mods which would be cheating lol. I only do mod-assisted glitches as long as it's still possible to do without mods.

Hey generalKidd in Halo 2 I think this works with the original but I did it on mcc in the mission regret you can actually take down the bank cheese while you're in the gondola without destroying the Banshees but you cannot fly them because it scripted so yeah see ya

Boy, Bungie does script things weirdly. Wonder why they made it the way they did in this encounter.
+Sod It was probably easier for them to just make the pelican explode by itself when the banshee flies past a certain point rather have it rely on getting hit by the banshee bomb.
