We were messing around and wondered "hey... do you think we could get Johnson to the end?" so we looked up a guide and on our first try got him all the way to the end. It made us feel so epic haha. Also, as powerful as the laser is, it takes like 3 seconds to charge up and he will kill maybe 1 or 2 enemies at a time, whereas the back gun fires constantly and would be able to mow down way more than the laser. Also because of how the AI works, and the fact that you are constantly on the move, Johnson will have trouble focusing on one enemy.

So in a sense I suppose you're right there. However Bungie was the orignal creater of Halo 3. I was thinking they would still have some say in what would happen to their game if any official modification/updates would take place. If you have the time, money, energy, and tools to "mod it on" then by all means go for it.

You guys are hero’s for saving Johnson!! It would have been fun if we was in the ending scene of Halo 3 if you saved him. The thing is though if he ended up in floating in space with the Chief he would of suffocated due to the fact he doesn’t have a suit on while in space with the ship blown into 2 pieces. He only would of truly survived if he was with the Arbiter at the front of the Dawn.
To answer 13:08 question: Yes, Johnson is more aggressive then the arbiter. I just beat halo 3 and can confirm that the arbiter does not do shit in the gunner seat
I was laughing for most of it. Arbiter comes round the corner causally and gets straight up lasered out of nowhere, MC and some random elite punching a ghost up a mountain, and Johnson's dialog while getting hit. Bloody Hilarious!!! XDDDD
There's an easier method for moving Johnson. If you place the Forerunner turrets (before you fight GS) so that the first pillar in the tunnel is between it and Johnson, his AI goes "passive", he stands at ease and stops pathfinding. If you're careful, you can move the turret by pushing it on the sides. Also, if you kill Johnson and steal his SPLaser, he gets back up with whatever you dropped, but he's really only any good with the SPLaser or rocket launcher.
Would be cool if modders remake Johnsons death cutscene and when chief says I'm getting you out of here, Johnson just says okay, and remake that last scene for him to be in it too
The reason why johnson is so accurate and agressive, is he is scripted to constantly fire since he still thinks he is using a Spartan lazer and that needs time to charge, the accuracy is that the partan lazer takes a long time to reload so the devs made it less likely to miss
I have an idea to save Johnson all the way, get out of that hog but have another close behind launch Johnson's hog into the hangar and then jump yours.
