Finding volume of irregular figures.

In this lesson, you will learn how to find the volume of irregular figures. First, seperate your irregular figure into seperate rectangular prisms. Then, find the volume of each rectangular prism. Remeber, use the given clues to find your length, width, and height. Add the volumes of your seperate rectangular prisms together to find the total volume of your irregular figure. Remember your cubic unit.

great video to explain in detail how the formula for working out volume. I had one problem with the scale though, the width is marked as 10mm and it seems as though the width and height of the bottom prism are equal according to the picture, however when you use the height clues you find it is twice as large (20mm).
Similarly, 40mm height of the second prism should visually be two thirds of the total 60mm height etc.
