Some people forget that games aren't only about cool 3d uber bloom/blur/hdr next gen graphics. Imo, gameplay is what it's all about. It's what makes old games like GTA series still playable.
The narration, as always, is tremendous. The "assuming you're in an environment where gravity acts on the stone" line will stay with us a long time. :)
@uofm97 Same thing with nascar though, as you have to be really smart to understand the setups, then you have to find a good line without hitting the other cars, at 200mph, then you have to dodge crashes.etc,etc.
What's interesting is that the PS3 version of NASCAR 09 is about realism (hence the black flags and disqualifications) while the PS2 version NASCAR 09 looks like NASCAR 08 if it was copied and pasted (except its got LESS CONTENT).

I felt this game too easy. I still own the game. Right off the restarts, you can literally pass the entire field from last place in the matter of half a lap, and that's on the hardest difficulty. Really, that was my only problem.
Skyler Dixon that's a big thing too. that's the only way that it's difficult. if you come out of the pits too fast, you will spin out. i also noticed on short tracks that if you floor it coming out of a turn that's a good spot for you to slide out. I also noticed that right when you come out of the pits and you're, say a lap down, you're car is super super fast and can pass anyone. then once the other cars pit, you're backing to being passed on turns and such. Idk, the game is pretty fun, but it has its flaws

If you want to get on the track for cheap, try "Nascar Thunder 2003" for the gamecube. Quite arguably the best Nascar game out there! You can buy a used gamecube console and controller for about $35.00 at any gamestop store and nascar thunder for about $6.00 You can also find them on e-bay for around the same price. NT 2003, awesome deal, awesome game! Also available for x-box and ps2
@Brandon999LFC Do you honestly believe that the budget for a Nascar game can be as big as for GTA IV or GT5? Not even nearly enough sales to compare. The more money that gets pumped into a game, the better it looks, and the more the game is expected to sell the more money gets pumped into it. Simple as that.
Nascar 09 vs Nascar 2011 I'm looking for a definite more serious, realistic game where you have to scratch and claw through the field to pass (not aggressively like mark lol) So which would be best? I don't want any arcade feel at all.
@rourin its ps3, i mean look at gt5 prolgue and gta iv, they were made in 2007/2008 aswell, the games graphics could of been much better, although graphics are not the best part of games.

@NodakJo2010 NASCAR 2011 is definitely the more "arcadey" of the two. It has changed hands between EA Sports to Activision. And we all know how much experience Activision has with sports titles..........
@treanyo A simple typo (there is obviously meant to be an "L", doesn't change the accuracy of the statement. This "sport" is a joke, and doesn't really take any skill in itself. People watch in hopes for the eventual crash, and the whole thing really is just one, large beer commercial.

So you can not tell me that they are not well conditioned athletes. Please do not get me wrong i am not saying that Nascar is better then Rally or F1 racing. i am saying that to each his own.
@809Ollie James is more of a filmmaker than a game reviewer. With CGR, mark gets to the point with his reviews. But AVGN is more of a satirical performer, When l watch AVGN, l don't see a game review, l see a show.

I would sometimes take no Tires on my last stop and sometimes I would take 4 it all depended on if I had taken Tires or No Tires the Stop Before.
