@Madpack hi from Montreal Canada! thank you and all the comments below for the recommended settings… Had a 2022 Samsung 75Q70A. I'm leaning towards the Sony A95K as I tend to watch a lot of 1080p content and play Nintendo Switch a lot so Sonys upscaling would be great for this, also stream 4k TV shows and game on series X. Any chance you could do a follow-up video of the impressions so far using the A95K, the thing you like and dislike about it and discuss the upscaling capabilities of the A95K compared to the S95B please? My Sony ONLY offers customization for HDMI input content (cable, DVD etc). A lot of content now is with streaming via WiFi. Every custom segment is grayed out for ANYTHING not HDMI.
Thank you for putting out this video. I'm still not happy with the picture of my Sony - 65" class BRAVIA XR A75L OLED 4K after changing my Custom mode to match all of your settings (nothing against you - just letting your know). The Standard mode is dim and dull. In the Vivid mode, the colors are too bright and the whites on Vivid are too gray. I like my 55" Samsung curve 4K TV better. I'm probably going to return the TV 😞
Hi there I completely understand if you don’t like my settings but my settings is to be the most accurate as possible if you prefere your Samsung TV compared to my settings with your Sony a75L I believe the reason behind is because you want a saturated colour and that’s not Sony. Hope it makes sense :) hugs and good luck for your next purchase
Ty. These ppl using the advanced contrast enhancer above anything but low are losing they minds. It becomes way over saturated with faces and skin tones not being correct. So many ppl saying to put both black levels and contrast enhancer to high with gamma +1. I was baffled like wow, talk about over saturation.
Just a heads up to all who thumbs up. Contrast enhancer low, black levels low. Color temp expert 1, gamma +1/+2. Black level 50, live color on low but bring color up to 63. Reality creation 65. Reds are a lil bright, R bias at -2, G bias 0, B-bias -4. B-bias at -4 most important. Bringing that down a tad adds more clarity and less gray wash effect from blue Hue on screen. Blues will still look amazing. Multipoint color gamma adjustments. #5 R-offset 4, G-offset 2, B-offset 2. I have painstakingly done these calibrations with a fine tooth comb...as one says.
@@adamm8136 thank you for sharing your settings the community is here for that thanks a lot I will have a try on your settings and see what’s happen to my Sony a95k by the way which Sony tv are you using?
@MADpack TY. I had the X85J. Took it on vacation with me, and somehow, on my way back, I cracked the screen. Replaced it with the X85K new model since I loved the TV so much. Both those models are 99.9% similar. My friend got the A95K on my recommendation, and he says my picture settings were perfect for him. So, u should like them...I'm telling u that B-bias needs to be brought down a tad...ull see. All the sudden clarity and colors look correct once that's done. I love these Sony TVs from last 2 years or so. 100% best TVs rn for that price point. Samsung and LG dropped off since 2020. Unless you can spend multiple thousands on a TV these Sonys are where its at. VRR, auto low-latency, HDR10, HDMI 2.1 and etc. These TVs very future proof
When it comes to Dolby vision using DV dark, the warm colour is significantly better with a few notches down in the green and blue basic colour adjustments.
blue and green what thats very generic and only going to confuse people more sony calibration method does not work with adjusting bias settings only gain unless your going through the tv's hidden service menu and if your doing this by eye good luck with that and if you dont have equipment and not white balancing then expert 1 is closer to d65 than warm on sony's
On my Sony x80j thst I had till a month ago, when I upgrade from 43in to my 50 ln lg uq7070 , I gad the x80j color set to 50 with the gains at max were they came, for setting to 50, fixed the over vivid colors of Sony to my eyes enough on its own
My Settings for Sony A84J (Game Mode) - Brightness....Maximum 50 - Contrast....90 - Gamma....0 - Brightness Preferred - Black level....48 - Black Adjust....High - Avanced Contrast Enhacer....High - Peak luminance....High - Colour....65-75 - Color Temperature....Warm - Live Colour....High - Sharpness....65-75 - Reality Creation....Manual....45-55....(This option is amazing a trully game changer) - Smooth Gradation....High I play in a dark room and the image quality of this TV is amazing!
Why Disney+ content is so so dark that I can literally see myself in daytime.. I've Sony x80k... Edit : HDR mode is ON by default when I play Disney+ content.. And the funny thing is, I can't even turn it off ( what a joke Disney)
Have you try? If you have a Sony a95k try the settings if you don’t like reset the settings … I love when people complain before they even try have a great day
This is a very misleading thumbnail showing you working with settings that require a colorimeter, but then its a standard perceptual opinion based video. How to set up "Basic picture settings" is a more appropriate title. Even worse the advice you are giving is misinformed and poorly explained. How dissapointing to purposefully mislead when half your audience here will be looking for genuine advice. (Actual help below) For anyone looking for actual help - All of of these setting are based on what YOU, the user likes, so experiment - but if looking for a standard quick guide for Sony TV's. As I can see half the questions people are asking here are ignored. First thing is to ensure all your inputs are in enhanced mode for anything not on the TV that is plugged in - google your TV model, and enhanced mode. Then turn of Eco Mode. For Movies, use custom, use -2 gamma if you watch in the dark, 0 if you're in a bright room, contrast 90. Black level at 50 as he mentioned, because this raises the black detail for things like shaddows etc. Adv contrast enhancer on low will help 'improve' contrast but above will start to degrade the image quality (see what you like though), don't touch the colour space settings without the right equipment. If you set sharpness to 55 or 60, you will need to leave the reality creation on auto. For the most accurate picture, leave all black adjust, noise off - if you can't see a difference, leave them off. Smooth gradation set to low will help, any more than that will soften the image but experiment yourselves. Sony TV's settings apply per input, and per app with the onboard apps. So will need to set this up on each input and each app, for instance netflix will have different setting to disney if installed on the TV. This can basically be used across any setting and input, if you want a brighter image, in standard content, up the peak brightness, in HDR, set brightness preffered. Do not touch anything to do with 2 point greyscale, greyscale or color without the correct equipment aside from maybe live color on low if YOU like it. For sports motion, you can use a different setting with the same settings, standard with expert 1 or warm enabled in colours, and then the motion will need to be smoothness 2, clearness 1 - if you use this, than lower the film mode setting otherwise youll see weird things start to happen - turn clearness and smoothness to min/off for film mode in custom. This applies to any Sony TV where the settings are laid out like this (2021 onward), if you are on a newer 2024 model, use professional where there is not custom, if older, it'll be cinema. Whether you are a purist or a casual user, these Tv's are designed to work best a certain way but allow endless flexibility - if you want the most consistent image across all inputs, then follow more closely, this should stop you having to constantly adjust per film, input etc. That's how it's designed, but the only person that has to be happy with the way it looks, is you - so experiment, put it in vivid on sports if you love the pop. Stumbled upon this trying to find decent channels and videos that help people new to this or not trained, very sad to see creators still using misleading clickbait tactics - do not touch the settings in the thumbnail unless you know what you're doing.
Happy to see that we have an expert here… videos like this are here to help people to get better results with there tv… if you take the time to read lots of people had better results with the tips I gave here… I hope your comment can help others… that’s called community. Have a great day.
It gets worse. I had to stop about 1/2 way through. Noise filters on, sharpness boosted, reality creation on, live color enabled, motionflow enabled... 🤢

@adamm8136 thank you for sharing I will have a look on them bro really thankful for your comments :)

Nicht schlecht dein Anwender Modus, aber ich erkenne optisch fast keinen Unterschied zum Kino Modus😉
Cinema mode is great already by itself but for me mine is a bit better
service menu sony kd-32w830k
When it comes to Dolby vision using DV dark, the warm colour is significantly better with a few notches down in the green and blue basic colour adjustments.
Thank you for your insides on this video about Sony picture settings :) which Sony tv sonhou own?!
@@MADpack Sony A84L (2023) OLED.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Sony a84l have you try my settings? If so did you enjoy it
based on eyes or equipment?
blue and green what thats very generic and only going to confuse people more sony calibration method does not work with adjusting bias settings only gain unless your going through the tv's hidden service menu and if your doing this by eye good luck with that and if you dont have equipment and not white balancing then expert 1 is closer to d65 than warm on sony's
I don’t have these same setting I’m lost
Maybe your tv is a much older model
Soo this is only for two settings???Why??
For two settings? I’m confused
Ppl be saying Sony’s pictures doesn’t pop from the color being low… my color is on 65 minimum
Thank you for sharing your Sony settings experience
Mine is on 45 !. I find the colours pop so much they give me a headache lol, it's so personal isn't it
On my Sony x80j thst I had till a month ago, when I upgrade from 43in to my 50 ln lg uq7070 , I gad the x80j color set to 50 with the gains at max were they came, for setting to 50, fixed the over vivid colors of Sony to my eyes enough on its own
Got an X80K and I’m trippin over adjusting the settings
Why are you tripping?
these are very different from rtings who to believe??!
Sorry I didn’t understand

I play in a dark room and the image quality of this TV is amazing!
Sony TVs are amazing nobody do TVs like them in my opinion at the minute
Why Disney+ content is so so dark that I can literally see myself in daytime..
I've Sony x80k...
Edit : HDR mode is ON by default when I play Disney+ content.. And the funny thing is, I can't even turn it off ( what a joke Disney)
I don’t have that issue with it it works perfectly fine see the tv options you have on
Black level at 55???? You are cray!!??!?!? lol
Have you try? If you have a Sony a95k try the settings if you don’t like reset the settings … I love when people complain before they even try have a great day
KD 43x85K Terrible color quality and black corners in the corners of the screen
This is a very misleading thumbnail showing you working with settings that require a colorimeter, but then its a standard perceptual opinion based video. How to set up "Basic picture settings" is a more appropriate title. Even worse the advice you are giving is misinformed and poorly explained. How dissapointing to purposefully mislead when half your audience here will be looking for genuine advice. (Actual help below)
For anyone looking for actual help - All of of these setting are based on what YOU, the user likes, so experiment - but if looking for a standard quick guide for Sony TV's.
Sony programs are not updated
Sorry I didn’t understand can you explain me better what are you talking about Sony programs
ambient light sensor on ha ha i stoped watching as soon as i saw you had it on
It gets worse. I had to stop about 1/2 way through. Noise filters on, sharpness boosted, reality creation on, live color enabled, motionflow enabled... 🤢

The Question Is why should you buy a Crappy Sony when you can have The Best on the Market? Buy LG C3 or up and you’ll never get back to Sony Crap.
You can be kidding?! When was the last time lg won the best Tv of the year? Lolol
You win the dumbest comment of the day award
Thanks for the laugh. My son purchased a C3 and it died on the third day of ownership. He replaced with the sony A95L of course he is really happy the C3 died BUT hey you enjoy lower quality tvs so keep on buying LG🤣
why are you watching sony videos???????because your lg is in for repairs is my guess😋
@@hughiegale7427 I don’t even waste my time at repair/eeselling man. I just put in garbage my crappy Sony A80L that’s what happen and I bought an LG G3.
G3 so bright and outclass any Sony in every aspects.
Try LG man you’ll never go back to Sony ever.
Big the way Sony using LG panel or Samsung panels in their TV so no it’s not a Sony it’s a rebranded LG/Samsung/Sony.
lol
Color space i use DCI, it's da best for me
