I'm a year late, but pairing Luigi with a multi-dash character makes his steely stare busted at range. Shooting through the terrain is essential to make the shots land, but 3 130% high damage shots is insane. I forget my exact setup, but I beat Edge's shadow boss in one turn and he easily did 2/3+ of the damage. (Required some lucky crits I remember)
That's so smart!!!! I kept forgetting he can still move after attacking, so running away and then maybe have Peach deal follow up damage would've been a killer combo. - Kyle
One of the most OP party combos I used in the Tower of Doom was peach + rabbid Mario + Luigi. If you hoarde all your items well, you can have enough cooldown clocks to always use team barrier, allowing Rabbid Mario to get close and deal massive damage, all while Luigi does a ton from the back.
Our opinions differ so much, but I respect you’re playstyle here is my list 9. Rabbid peach She was always a very good healer and her weapon guaranteed a hit, but the damage did not cut it for me. and since my playstyle was all about killing enemies before they even hit you, I didn’t end up liking her more than her human princess counterpart. 8.Bowser I’m sorry I had so much fun with bowser especially in the tower of doom but his weapon didn’t have as much range as I thought it should and while his ability was unique, it never seemed great. It should have been applicable for elemental sparks, but since the only option was fire and it cost so many skill points, I made him my spark mule and tank for most battles 7.rabbid Luigi Rabbid Luigi was the character that got better later in the game, and he was great for specific win conditions like eyeballs. Unfortunately I found his weapon rarely found a good shot and literally never used his ability. On the other hand, when his weapon hit its mark, it did crazy damage and he is a way underrated character imo 6. Luigi I found his sharpshooter insane and on the last world barrendale mesa during the protect the windmill fight I lost both rabbid Mario and edge on the second to last turn. I popped in frostbite and steely stare, he took care of the whole swarm of enemies from his perch. His weakness is definitely health and he is only great on maps where you can find a safe spot for him. 5. Mario Mario was super fun in this game but I slept on his hero sight. His aerial combat ability made him the most Mobile hero in my party and I could always land a lot of hits if he had a teammate to jump off of. I really liked him in this game and found he had synergy with everyone in the party since he could deal good damage, had average health and could kill reliably 4. Peach I LOVED her protection ability and she was super great at filling that support role that made it so easy to shrug off huge threats like wild claws at least for a turn so I could regroup. Her weapon left something to be desired, though, as it was really destructive and not like bowser who could target and expose enemies behind cover. She was always a good pick in my party though. 3.rabbid Mario A super powerful damage dealer that was also a tank that could attack through walls and up ledges AND he could move back into cover after he attacked? Yeah, it makes sense many people put him so high on their lists. He was always broken, but I found him pretty situational as he was only an up close fighter. 2. Rabbid Rosalina Holy cow she is broken. Her gun can be modified to deal INSANE damage and her ability is the best there is. Ennui can nullify any threatening encounter and leave you free to take your sweet time eliminating the enemies. In addition to stopping groups, her ennui dash can make most boss fights way easier. Her weakness was her bad range for her ability and weapon. Snipers were always her worst nightmare and she didn’t have much health. Really good for ghost spark tho 1. Edge Every way you went on her skill tree you couldn’t go wrong. Her ability while seemingly not great at all turned busted when you realized she attacks everyone at once in the area with elements at increased damage to her strong attack. It totally compliments her insane movement tree that makes her basically able to cross entire maps in one turn and the dash thing helps her use storm blade to kill large clusters of enemies you find later in the game. Her stormblade with increased halo meant I could always damage large numbers of enemies from a safe distance. I don’t think she has any major weaknesses because her weapon was long enough range upgraded and she dealt so much damage. Even though I think she is the best, I do think she needs a supportive hero to really come out of encounters on top.
Reading this made me to try out RRosalina and Edge in Towers of Doom now. I agree, I really should’ve used RLuigi for the eyeball missions as it would’ve made things much easier. 😂 - Kyle
Rabbid Mario was my MVP with the stealth spark, its a ninja that deal wrecking damage, Normal Luigi as a sniper and death stare with spark that push away enemy, Rabbit Peach although i felt i wasnt getting a lot from her but couldnt leave my love, with revive spark and healing she is ok but damage was it was medicore.. That was my team 95% .. Rabbid Mario and Luigi were the big carry, and Rabbid Peach for support.
That's such a smart way to use Rabbid Mario and Luigi! I'm going through Kingdom Battle right now, and I wish the sparks were there cause it would be a GREAT strategy to experiment with! - Kyle
This was also my party for most of the game... Tho I sometimes switched to Bowser and Rabbid Luigi in place of Rabbid Peach. Bowser can break covers pretty easely and at range, so he combos really well with Luigi, and his mecha koopas were great for area control. As for Rabbid Luigi, he gets a skill that makes enemies take 30% more damage when weakened, wich can be absolutely busted if you also use the boosting spark.
My team is Rabbid mario -Glitter -Eatering Peach -Summon wildclaw -Fortify Luigi - Summon scoper -Enemies weakness spark Since rabbid mario has a ability to move even while attacking activate invisible move that turn next turn pull enemies toward you it helps especially against wildclaws and riptides I love using the Summon wildclaw with peach her protection ability is really useful especially since wildclaws move towards whoever attack them fortify for move defense for it Luigis sniping is op especially since he has the ghost bullet ability combined with steely stare since scopers stay in the back I little extra back up

I don't see why you hate the other characters. Besides they have better attack moves than Luigi. His attack is still good but I hate that he doesn't dab anymore like in the old game
Excellent video - I agree with you on pretty much everything. Despite buying the game when it first came out, I've only just gotten to playing it and Rabbid Peach, Mario and Luigi are proving very difficult to move away from. Especially with RP's three dashes and Mario's never ending Hero Sight! Having to look up how to pronounce a word is nothing to be ashamed of, and you get significant respect points from me for actually doing it!!!
My favorite combo in this game has ALWAYS been Mario, Rabbid Mario, and Luigi. Mario because there’s a weird bug in the game where Hero Sight has NO COOLDOWN. Luigi does so much damage it’s not even funny. And with Rabbid Mario I think you’re forgetting that 9,100 HP means he’s NOT dying.
I can see why the lower half of your list was where it was because of your playstyle. I just don't agree with Rabbid Rose's placement. But decent tier list!
My top 9: Rabbid Luigi 8: Bowser 7: Edge 6: Rabbid Mario 5: Peach 4: Luigi 3: Mario 2: Rabbid Rosalina 1: Rabbid Peach (The one I used like 98% in the game)
My top 3 is pretty much yours, but Peach and Luigi are swapped. Rabbid Peach/Mario/Luigi is my "dream team" since the first game (Luigi was much more OP in the first game, though). But in the Rayman DLC I was forced to use Rabbid Mario and kinda liked him a lot too.
I use Rabbid Rosalina as an immortal dps. Turn invisible 2 turns, then put all threats around her to sleep for 2 turns so she can turn invisible. Who cares if whoever else on my team dies?
Rabbit Rosalina is the best She is way better than Peach because Peach offers shields for one round , but Rabbit Roaslina makes enemies sleep for multiple rounds You dont even need Rabbit Peach healing because if you put to sleep enemies you will most likely kill them before they even do damage
I’m honestly so shocked our lists are as similar as they are, but dang we have a ton of similar opinions but a certain plumber is very mediocre for me, so I guess I’ll give my list 9. Rabbid Luigi (I literally never used him a single time the entire game, ever, except for darkness eye missions. 8. Mario (Similar to Rabbid Luigi but near the end of the final regular world I actually began using him over Rabbid Peach for a small time for certain darkmess eye missions and defeat all missions. He’s not as bad as I thought originally but I used him so little I can’t justifiably put him any higher, though I think he’s good just never really fit my team. Oh boy, we will get there.) 7. Rabbid Mario (yeah I really wasn’t a fan of either of the Mario’s in this game, I used Rabbid Mario a ton in the beginning since I was under the assumption he was good to use cause everyone was hyping him up to be the best again…yeah nah I can’t say he’s the best at ALL, sure I used him a good bit in the early game and a little in the end game but otherwise he is SO not my cup of tea…I don’t drink tea, anyways. Him being so risky and me never having the skill tokens needed to get his move after attacking ability he would usually just be out in the open due to his low range and that’s my problem, I seem to love range characters in this game even though usually I’m an up close guy, but I found it was way more fun and exciting to use the ranged characters and Rabbid Mario just can’t keep up.) 6. Bowser (He honestly could be number 5 but I used them a lot more then the king, I am a massive Bowser fan so whenever I could justify using him I did but I found there were very few situations another character couldn’t handle better, and the mecharabbids are just too weak for me, I still used him a good bit though and it was fun every time.) 5. Shadow the H-ok I’m not gonna make that joke. Fr though Edge. (I love her personality and design, I am a green enjoyer, but I found that while she is fun don’t get me wrong, I really only used her because big sword go brrrr. She does a ton of damage sure but compared to the big 4 she is a weak link, she’s mainly up here because she was funnily enough a great support to the big 4 so she’s up here because of that, and big sword.) Now we get to the Big 4, my favorites by a landslide and I’m gonna be a good bit in depth of how I used them so you can understand how I used them…especially for a certain Rabbid Princess…we will get there. Let’s begin. 4. Rabbid Rosalina (I love using her so much. Ennui is such a fun ability and stun locking Midnight was so hilarious to me I instantly loved her, her rapid crits also are so satisfying to see for me because reasons, and she’s as tired as I always am, so she’s a great and fun character to use and she’s a fun character as a character…why is she number 4? Simple, I got attached to the next three at the beginning and didn’t have as long to get attached to her compared to them, but I still love her and she’d likely beat number 3 if she was at the start but I guess she has to be stuck here, still number 4 is pretty good.) 3. Luigi (The green plumber himself, I loved using him in kingdom battle as the “I’m gonna shoot you across the map, deal with it.” Guy and I had so much fun, I ran Mario Luigi and Peach/Rabbid Peach in Kingdom battle, funnily enough that’s pretty similar to my Sparks of Hope team, I’m getting off topic again, so Luigi is a sniper, I love being able to feel safe and secure across the map so I don’t have to panic about one of my characters which makes me play so much better, Ethering also made Luigi so useful for survive missions and regular missions so the enemies would Aggro on my other two characters so Luigi could keep spamming, the only reason he isn’t higher is because I simply am more attached to the top 2 but he’s still an incredible character who was a blast to use 10/10 would spam again.) 2. Rabbid Peach (She is SO CLOSE to being number 1 she really is, the only issue is she wasn’t ALWAYS on the team but when I could fit her I did, I really ran her as a nuke tool to open up space for the team and used her for her excellent healing, her regular fire does a ton of damage and she was great for finishing enemies off to the point she became an offensive character for me which considering my playstyle I’m absolutely ok with, she’s fun and charismatic too and she makes fights way more chaotic which can make me pay attention way easier which I really appreciate, so then…I’m not gonna be suspenseful you know who number 1 is let’s just get onto it.) 1. Peach (Yes my favorite Mario character is Number 1, shocker, to be honest though even if she wasn’t my favorite she’d still take the top spot, Team Barrier allows me to play a little risky which is fun and it makes me feel way safer with Rabbid Peach and Luigi as well as Peach herself. The boombrella is so fun to use and I love shotguns so it’s just my kind of weapon, her also being such a good tank I could rely on in any situation helped me feel safe letting her sponge a bit of damage before Rabbid Peach healed all it off, allowing Peach to continue being an unbreakable wall, she is the one who died the least the entire run AND was on the team the whole game, there was not a fight Peach wasn’t in, she’s just that good, so yeah, the Princess takes the top spot by a pretty hefty margin because my bias boosts her a good bit. It would be close otherwise though.). I’m now realizing I wrote an entire essay I’m so sorry xD
No need to apologize for writing an essay lol. It had a lot of interesting points! Here were some of my takeaways from it: - Mario: completely understandable as it's the same reason I put RL so low on my list - RMario: ya, I remember seeing other ranking lists where they put him so high it made me feel a bit guilty on not using hom throughout the game lol. Ironically, I use him A LOT in Kingdom Battle. - Edge: I can't unsee the Shadow parallels now. But you're right, big sword go brrr... and the brrr... was too inconsistent for me. - RRosalina: Yup! Same here. Once I got my main team from the beginning, it was hard to introduce new characters into it. - Luigi: Agreed. Knowing there's some safe distance to strike at foes while dealing high damage is always great! - RPeach: Oh, her personality SOLD me into having her on my team (and healing always helped too aha). Because of her dashes, she almost turned into a tank for me too lol. - Peach: Boombrella is just so creative, and yes, having her shields became super helpful in some battles where I just wanted to cheese it lol. Rabbid Luigi isn’t great. He’s very situational, excellent for darkness eyes challenges, but not much else. I build Edge as a dasher. I dump all my points into the movement and dash tree, and make sure I have a dash elemental spark and the unseen spark. Bowser is alright. He just doesn’t feel great to play as. Can’t put my finger on it. Rabbis Mario can be good, but he falls into the same trap as edge. He has to be up close and personal to be effective. Also it can be a little frustrating to line it up perfectly to hit as many enemies or eyes as possible. Rabbis Rosa has an interesting weapon, but an incredible ennui ability when overwhelmed by a lot of enemies. Luigi and Mario I usually pair with edge and focus on steely stare/hero sight. Whenever edge dashes, the enemy technically moves, activating the extra damage shots. I wish I liked peach’s boombrella as much as everyone else. The damage drop off is pretty high if they’re not point blank range. Honestly, rabbis peach is mid for me. The heal is only really practical to use late game because it’s percentage based. Overall my ranking is Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Rosa, Peach, Bowser Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Mario, Edge, Luigi, Mario.
Interesting points! Just a few I wanted to highlight. RLuigi - There were so many times I told myself I could’ve finished a challenge sooner if I had his frisbee with me lol. Could see potential in battle, but wish I used him more. RMario - Agreed, too close for my liking. Maybe I just need to equip the right sparks on him lol. Although, he’s been VERY useful in Kingdom Battle, so it’s odd to see the difference. Great team line up too.
In my opinion, rabbit peach shouldn’t be that high her weapon doesn’t deal that much damage and one of her abilities is replaced by a spark and her distance isn’t that good but her weapon is a high chance of landing so lower than rabbit Rosalina but higher than rabbit Mario
Agreed! Peach can make your team borderline unkillable with some help from the fortify spark and I used the wildclaw master with her to get great damage, then I used rabbid Rosalina with ethering and starburst to function as a supporter/attacker hybrid, then I gave Rabbid Mario the Reflect and Glitter sparks, which allowed him to deal well over 8,500 damage with just their passive abilities, plus he can punish enemies for hitting him and pull everything in to demolish them all in one hit

RLuigi at dead last? Bro go back and play the game proper way. My team for most of the game was RMario, RLuigi, RPeach. That team was about quick execution. First was damage dealer, then Luigi for softening enemies either with his attacks or super, and last one to heal some, when necessary. Run them close, don't spread.
That's a good strategy to play! I definitely do want to use RLuigi and RMario more when I go back to play the Tower of Doom and future DLC. I will say though, when going through Kingdom Battle, RLuigi is almost always in my party because of Vampdash, so it was odd whiplash to see his usage in my party between both games lol. - Kyle

I use Rabbid Mario by using glitter to get everyone around him and destroy everything in his path then head back to where it is safe.

My favorite combo in this game has ALWAYS been Mario, Rabbid Mario, and Luigi. Mario because there’s a weird bug in the game where Hero Sight has NO COOLDOWN. Luigi does so much damage it’s not even funny. And with Rabbid Mario I think you’re forgetting that 9,100 HP means he’s NOT dying.
I can see why the lower half of your list was where it was because of your playstyle. I just don't agree with Rabbid Rose's placement. But decent tier list!

My top 3 is pretty much yours, but Peach and Luigi are swapped. Rabbid Peach/Mario/Luigi is my "dream team" since the first game (Luigi was much more OP in the first game, though). But in the Rayman DLC I was forced to use Rabbid Mario and kinda liked him a lot too.
I use Rabbid Rosalina as an immortal dps. Turn invisible 2 turns, then put all threats around her to sleep for 2 turns so she can turn invisible. Who cares if whoever else on my team dies?
Rabbit luigi is still good why everyone hate him
Rabbit Rosalina is the best
She is way better than Peach because Peach offers shields for one round , but Rabbit Roaslina makes enemies sleep for multiple rounds
You dont even need Rabbit Peach healing because if you put to sleep enemies you will most likely kill them before they even do damage
By default Rabbid Mario is the best in this game second being Rayman and 3th being Rabbid peach
I’m honestly so shocked our lists are as similar as they are, but dang we have a ton of similar opinions but a certain plumber is very mediocre for me, so I guess I’ll give my list
9. Rabbid Luigi (I literally never used him a single time the entire game, ever, except for darkness eye missions.
8. Mario (Similar to Rabbid Luigi but near the end of the final regular world I actually began using him over Rabbid Peach for a small time for certain darkmess eye missions and defeat all missions. He’s not as bad as I thought originally but I used him so little I can’t justifiably put him any higher, though I think he’s good just never really fit my team. Oh boy, we will get there.)
7. Rabbid Mario (yeah I really wasn’t a fan of either of the Mario’s in this game, I used Rabbid Mario a ton in the beginning since I was under the assumption he was good to use cause everyone was hyping him up to be the best again…yeah nah I can’t say he’s the best at ALL, sure I used him a good bit in the early game and a little in the end game but otherwise he is SO not my cup of tea…I don’t drink tea, anyways. Him being so risky and me never having the skill tokens needed to get his move after attacking ability he would usually just be out in the open due to his low range and that’s my problem, I seem to love range characters in this game even though usually I’m an up close guy, but I found it was way more fun and exciting to use the ranged characters and Rabbid Mario just can’t keep up.)
6. Bowser (He honestly could be number 5 but I used them a lot more then the king, I am a massive Bowser fan so whenever I could justify using him I did but I found there were very few situations another character couldn’t handle better, and the mecharabbids are just too weak for me, I still used him a good bit though and it was fun every time.)
5. Shadow the H-ok I’m not gonna make that joke. Fr though Edge. (I love her personality and design, I am a green enjoyer, but I found that while she is fun don’t get me wrong, I really only used her because big sword go brrrr. She does a ton of damage sure but compared to the big 4 she is a weak link, she’s mainly up here because she was funnily enough a great support to the big 4 so she’s up here because of that, and big sword.)
Now we get to the Big 4, my favorites by a landslide and I’m gonna be a good bit in depth of how I used them so you can understand how I used them…especially for a certain Rabbid Princess…we will get there. Let’s begin.
4. Rabbid Rosalina (I love using her so much. Ennui is such a fun ability and stun locking Midnight was so hilarious to me I instantly loved her, her rapid crits also are so satisfying to see for me because reasons, and she’s as tired as I always am, so she’s a great and fun character to use and she’s a fun character as a character…why is she number 4? Simple, I got attached to the next three at the beginning and didn’t have as long to get attached to her compared to them, but I still love her and she’d likely beat number 3 if she was at the start but I guess she has to be stuck here, still number 4 is pretty good.)
3. Luigi (The green plumber himself, I loved using him in kingdom battle as the “I’m gonna shoot you across the map, deal with it.” Guy and I had so much fun, I ran Mario Luigi and Peach/Rabbid Peach in Kingdom battle, funnily enough that’s pretty similar to my Sparks of Hope team, I’m getting off topic again, so Luigi is a sniper, I love being able to feel safe and secure across the map so I don’t have to panic about one of my characters which makes me play so much better, Ethering also made Luigi so useful for survive missions and regular missions so the enemies would Aggro on my other two characters so Luigi could keep spamming, the only reason he isn’t higher is because I simply am more attached to the top 2 but he’s still an incredible character who was a blast to use 10/10 would spam again.)
2. Rabbid Peach (She is SO CLOSE to being number 1 she really is, the only issue is she wasn’t ALWAYS on the team but when I could fit her I did, I really ran her as a nuke tool to open up space for the team and used her for her excellent healing, her regular fire does a ton of damage and she was great for finishing enemies off to the point she became an offensive character for me which considering my playstyle I’m absolutely ok with, she’s fun and charismatic too and she makes fights way more chaotic which can make me pay attention way easier which I really appreciate, so then…I’m not gonna be suspenseful you know who number 1 is let’s just get onto it.)
1. Peach (Yes my favorite Mario character is Number 1, shocker, to be honest though even if she wasn’t my favorite she’d still take the top spot, Team Barrier allows me to play a little risky which is fun and it makes me feel way safer with Rabbid Peach and Luigi as well as Peach herself. The boombrella is so fun to use and I love shotguns so it’s just my kind of weapon, her also being such a good tank I could rely on in any situation helped me feel safe letting her sponge a bit of damage before Rabbid Peach healed all it off, allowing Peach to continue being an unbreakable wall, she is the one who died the least the entire run AND was on the team the whole game, there was not a fight Peach wasn’t in, she’s just that good, so yeah, the Princess takes the top spot by a pretty hefty margin because my bias boosts her a good bit. It would be close otherwise though.).

No need to apologize for writing an essay lol. It had a lot of interesting points! Here were some of my takeaways from it:
- Mario: completely understandable as it's the same reason I put RL so low on my list
- RMario: ya, I remember seeing other ranking lists where they put him so high it made me feel a bit guilty on not using hom throughout the game lol. Ironically, I use him A LOT in Kingdom Battle.
- Edge: I can't unsee the Shadow parallels now. But you're right, big sword go brrr... and the brrr... was too inconsistent for me.
- RRosalina: Yup! Same here. Once I got my main team from the beginning, it was hard to introduce new characters into it.
- Luigi: Agreed. Knowing there's some safe distance to strike at foes while dealing high damage is always great!
- RPeach: Oh, her personality SOLD me into having her on my team (and healing always helped too aha). Because of her dashes, she almost turned into a tank for me too lol.
- Peach: Boombrella is just so creative, and yes, having her shields became super helpful in some battles where I just wanted to cheese it lol. Outside of SoH, Peach is a fan favourite character of mine too, so I completely understand the bias aha.

Rabbid Luigi isn’t great. He’s very situational, excellent for darkness eyes challenges, but not much else.
I build Edge as a dasher. I dump all my points into the movement and dash tree, and make sure I have a dash elemental spark and the unseen spark.
Bowser is alright. He just doesn’t feel great to play as. Can’t put my finger on it.
Rabbis Mario can be good, but he falls into the same trap as edge. He has to be up close and personal to be effective. Also it can be a little frustrating to line it up perfectly to hit as many enemies or eyes as possible.
Rabbis Rosa has an interesting weapon, but an incredible ennui ability when overwhelmed by a lot of enemies.
Luigi and Mario I usually pair with edge and focus on steely stare/hero sight. Whenever edge dashes, the enemy technically moves, activating the extra damage shots.
I wish I liked peach’s boombrella as much as everyone else. The damage drop off is pretty high if they’re not point blank range.
Honestly, rabbis peach is mid for me. The heal is only really practical to use late game because it’s percentage based.
Overall my ranking is Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Rosa, Peach, Bowser Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Mario, Edge, Luigi, Mario.
Interesting points! Just a few I wanted to highlight.
RLuigi - There were so many times I told myself I could’ve finished a challenge sooner if I had his frisbee with me lol. Could see potential in battle, but wish I used him more.
RMario - Agreed, too close for my liking. Maybe I just need to equip the right sparks on him lol. Although, he’s been VERY useful in Kingdom Battle, so it’s odd to see the difference.

In my opinion, rabbit peach shouldn’t be that high her weapon doesn’t deal that much damage and one of her abilities is replaced by a spark and her distance isn’t that good but her weapon is a high chance of landing so lower than rabbit Rosalina but higher than rabbit Mario

Agreed! Peach can make your team borderline unkillable with some help from the fortify spark and I used the wildclaw master with her to get great damage, then I used rabbid Rosalina with ethering and starburst to function as a supporter/attacker hybrid, then I gave Rabbid Mario the Reflect and Glitter sparks, which allowed him to deal well over 8,500 damage with just their passive abilities, plus he can punish enemies for hitting him and pull everything in to demolish them all in one hit

RLuigi at dead last? Bro go back and play the game proper way.
My team for most of the game was RMario, RLuigi, RPeach. That team was about quick execution. First was damage dealer, then Luigi for softening enemies either with his attacks or super, and last one to heal some, when necessary. Run them close, don't spread.
That's a good strategy to play! I definitely do want to use RLuigi and RMario more when I go back to play the Tower of Doom and future DLC.
I will say though, when going through Kingdom Battle, RLuigi is almost always in my party because of Vampdash, so it was odd whiplash to see his usage in my party between both games lol. - Kyle
