Cops get bored and pull people over randomly just to gamble they will find something. "I don't believe you used your signal back there"..."I couldn't tell if your license plate was illuminated enough", "I pulled you over because this day of the week ends in the letter Y". I literally have had friends who are now ex-officers who left the force because of this predatory behavior. Racial profiling? You bet! Driving while being black is an arrestable offense by a lot of LEOs just as much as being white driving thru a black south side of town neighborhood. I was almost arrested for doing that...cop even searched my car without permission or a warrant claiming I had no business in the neighborhood. Then a second cruiser that stopped noticed that both me and my friend(who lived in the neighborhood and was black) were wearing the same work uniforms. That cop slapped the other one in the back of the head, cussed him for harassing us, and the second officer apologized for the actions of the other cop and sent us on our way so I could finish taking my friend/coworker home. My friend was very embarrassed and didn't want to accept rides home from me late at night anymore.

They're crazy.
Oh, please. "I can't write you a ticket because my equipment is malfunctioning." Can the other officers not write a ticket? They likely used this excuse because they knew there was no validity to any of the charges that they were gonna write.

Example: a 5+ unit response w/ aerial surveillance support costs a little over $5000 an hour. And these clowns had accrued over a quarter million bill in a month. Cops assured city controller 80% can be recouped in litigation and fines in the upcoming month. What a bunch of crooks.

Something similar happened to my 16-year-old grandson this week. He dropped his sister off at work and cops started following him through the parking lot, onto the freeway loop, and then four sheriff's deputy vehicles and eight cops pulled him over, their excuse was he had a bent license plate, which of course was bogus, because they could read the license plate and they couldn't tell until they got right up close to it that it had a slight bend in it that in no way affected reading it.
They were actually looking for me, and I'm not wanted for anything, but I'm being targeted due to some public advocacy and political corruption exposure that I've been doing.

I've driven much further than that for being pulled over for a traffic stop on I295. I reduced my speed and then after he used his sound system I put on my hazards and reduced speed to the minimum speed of 45MPH. Once I found what I felt was a safe spot I pulled over and told the officer I was just looking for a safe place to pull over for BOTH of us because it's dark and the shoulder was too narrow back there and he could easily get hit by a car outside his vehicle. He was fine with that explanation and let me off with a warning.

Which totally blew me because it was like completly dismissing the fact that on the flip side dont i also have the right to make it back to family too?!?!? So its like saying because these officers are too scared to do thier jobs instead of finding another profession it means as an innocent driver i should be subject to thier anger and transgressions that may end up with me dying even if I have not broken the law. Well officer timmy was scared so he shot or beat the mess out of calvin while he was coming home from dinner. Calvin didnt break any laws its just the officer was having a bad day. Are you serious?

Because did you know often times, depending on the situation, if a cop can get a ticket or a crime to charge you with that will stick in a local court, then they cannot be sued for violating your rights in federal court. Also cops will work with the local prosecutors and drop criminal charges as long as The person agrees not to sue. That was absolutely shameful how they wanted to do anything they could do that man to cover their own butts.
