Take a look at her start score- 5.8 with a 9.2 execution. Very reasonable score. How about shutting it unless you’re going to go get certified to judge alongside them.
would have been world champion if she would have hit like this at worlds! Still tons of potential! I think she can do even more and be even better! Go sam!
Does Shawn do a standing full to back pike? Shawn I love, but so,e of her skills she doesn't do as well. Don't get me wrong, her double double on floor is WAY better than Sam's. But Sam's full is so much better than Shawn's. So if you think about it, it could go either way. LOVE YOU SAM!
She really reminds me of Chellsie Memmel; her style of gymnastics is very similar. Skill..flick of wrists wave of arms...skill..flick of wrists, wave of arms..you know what I mean? Her tumbling is without equal, but her leaps are shockingly poor in amplitude and extension.
I like her outfit, since blue is my favorite color. She's great on the beam. It's a shame she hurt her ankle during the Olympics. She looks like Nastia, only wider.
I am not sure she would have replaced Sacramone on beam and floor. Remember there is no such thing as hindsight. Unfortunately I think she only does vault (where she scores about the same as Bridgette anyway). On beam and floor she was probably slotted as 5th after Shawn, Nastia, Alicia, Chelsie, so even with Chelsie injured, she probably still does not compete over Alicia. ' And even if she competed both over Alicia and hit both she would only add .8-a whole point in a best case scenario on both events, and they lost to China by 2.4 so still not enough. They needed a better 3rd bars worker to beat China in a best case scenario, even with Cheng Fei's fall on beam. Of course she could have rocked both beam and floor in prelims and pushed her way into the lineup over Alicia on one or both. Marta usually picks team final lineups based on prelim performances anyway. I assume she was doing both beam and floor over Bridgette in prelims atleast.
@xxLOlliPOPLUVERxx Not all gymnasts deserve the same amount of attention. Shawn was reigning world champ and national champ, not to mention she was 2nd AA and beam gold in Beijing. Peszek is a good gymnast, but she didn't compete at all in Beijing. Why should she get the same attention as Shawn or Nastia?
Emily Ward she competed in quals. Got injured but you can only replace athletes with alternates no later than 24 hours before and she got injured like just before team finals
i think its so the judges have a different view of the gymnast on beam, idk, it seems pointless to me too. but it seems like it puts more of the artistic touch to it
she was DEFINITELY underscored. Judges clearly play favorites.
yeah, that seems sooo low
It’s not low. She had a 5.8 D score so she receieved 9.2 E score which is high in that quad
Dnt they always lol

I love the fact that she smiles when she's done with her routine! It shows that she enjoys gymnastics!
i think this is the best beam routine from samantha. sam and nastia are the BEST gymnasts EVER!
would have been world champion if she would have hit like this at worlds! Still tons of potential! I think she can do even more and be even better! Go sam!
i love watching her on balance beam!
SOLID!!! I love the full twisting standing back tuck thingy with the layout at the very beginning!!!
She didn't even wobble a tiny bit. I don't think a person could push her off that beam!
she looks like lauren from make it or break it.
i wish she had stayed elite! she is so good!
i just love her confidence
@parteenpink
couldn't agree more. this could have been scored a 16.0 easily
Simply sweet and oh sooooo beautiful!!!!!
i like her standing fulls better than shawn's...they seem to be more consistent and she lands with her chest much higher than shawn...

LOVE YOU SAM!
I love how Sam fixes her leotard before she got on the beam
Solid routine. She nailed it!

That was so fierce
A score: 5.8
B score: 9.2
Total score: 15.0
Can someone tell me ANYTHING wrong with that? Was it a perfect score? If not, it should have been
bam bam bam
@JoeJonasIsSOOHawt
me too! I think US would have won gold if Sam had been able to compete in all her events

@gymnast0005 Good question...does anyone know if she will be competing in the Classics this month and then Nationals next month?
will she compete as an elite again? I would love to see her at 2011 Nationals, Worlds or then at the 2012 Olympics. She's amazing.
Nice spin and back full. Great height on the dismount.
@zinnastia she had an ankle injury at the absolute 11th hour of competition (ie minutes before prelims started) and had to switch to doing just bars.
Nice job.
she really looks like nastia liukin.

Well she’s worked hard just like the others, why not give her praise?
does anyone know what her score was?
15.1 i believe. well she got 15.0 and 15.1 over the two days but i think on the first day she got a 15.1
@JoeJonasIsSOOHawt Did she compete on any events in Beijing? I just watched the team finals and she didn't compete in anything...
Emily Ward she competed in quals. Got injured but you can only replace athletes with alternates no later than 24 hours before and she got injured like just before team finals
@JoeJonasIsSOOHawt why she didn't compete?
So where was she during the Olympics? Anonymous?
I know eveytime I see her thats who I think about lol
Does anyone know her score???
Uau
@PocketGymnast me too
i think its so the judges have a different view of the gymnast on beam, idk, it seems pointless to me too. but it seems like it puts more of the artistic touch to it
she got a 15.000 :)
[diff: 5.8/exec: 9.2]
@xxLOlliPOPLUVERxx 15 is a big score...
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 really?
@houndscheer1996 Since when is Nastia graceful?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Since when is Nastia not graceful?

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Um, what?
