Your usual supreme quality of vidcaps and staging, but I am just going to mention one of your most delightful shots... that shot of the red and green light reflections on the Avanti... too cool! You must have thought so, as well, because you gave us a great, long time to really enjoy it. That was very holiday like and epic! I admit, the night shots always get me. Despite all my train travels, they rarely occurred at night, so it is always a bit different to see them. Cheers and all the best to you and yours!
Thanks Tim. It was good to chat and get some info on Newport train activity. They hand over some keys and discuss the load and any issues they may have had. Plus general chit chat I guess.
Another lovely video leslie very good camera work as usual I am really enjoying your lovely videos and camera work keep your lovely camera work up I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on RUclips bye for now Philip
I still find it strange to see 221s used on the Euston-Glasgow service. I assume it must be because of a low number of Pendos relative to the timetable, and they need something that can tilt. I know there are new 800series units coming soon that are bi-mode but I'm not sure if they will tilt or not? They want to stop the Chester/NorthWales services running diesel under the wires, hopefully they will do the same for the 221s used to Glasgow/Edinburgh.
It's just the one daily working from Euston to Glasgow then back to Crewe. It would be useful if the 80x were used for diversions north of Preston. As things stand I thought they were to be dedicated south of Weaver Junction. They don't tilt but I hear that lack of tilt should be compensated by faster acceleration.

Thanks Anthony. I do like the reflections from the signals on the carriage sides.
Often wonder what the drivers are talking about when they swop over. Very good Leslie..great to see you again yesterday. All the best.

Great driver changes🥲🦺👌⭐️
Thanks
Always thought our stations are a bit ethereal after dusk... a suspension of reality.
Indeed and when you get the lights reflecting it can be picturesque
I wonder what is in those crates? Please reveal.😊
crates?
Are those Fred lights powered by the train or themselves they stand out well in the dark
From the wires via the loco I guess. High intensity LEDs are pretty common now even on freight.
Just what does that Varamis unit do Les? see it many times in your videos,
I believe it's a parcel's service. They only lease the single unit.
avanti uses class 66s now not class 390s les on 9M86 1452 ed-euston ?
Just testing! Note to editor - must try harder!
