Honestly, when I saw the title in my subscribes, I thought it was a berrics video and thought: This video should be about Johnny Giger, he's the best. And boom, it was him!
Surprise! Haha But yeah Aaron has been a friend of mine for a few years and he hit me up to try and film with Jonny for a couple days and I was like "of course!" . Glad this worked out.
Somehow this is a close second to "Skateboard Parkour in 8k - Streets of San Francisco!" - the slow motion really adds a lot to the appreciation of the artform.
I want to know why on earth one person disliked this video? Like why? What is there to dislike about this? Incredible skateboarding and great filming and production!
Haha Yeah I put the question mark because there is a small handful of dudes who could fit this spot, but they all do very different tricks. In my opinion (lol obviously anecdotal), among the skaters I am aware of (and barring freestyle which is it's own separate category); Jonny Giger & Jamie Griffin are the top contenders. Both of them have very different tricks and holy shit each of them are so damn talented it's ridiculous.
@@BeyondSlowMotion Ahh the question mark. Didn't notice. Thank you for this short detailed explanation. No matter whos THE best, you make everyone with your videos the one!
I think moving forward all my Skate content will go to my other channel Skapo. It never performs well here regardless of how talented the person featured is. My last skate video featured one of the top Olympic skate competitors, Heimana Reynolds, and wasn't even seen by 5% of my audience. Honestly it's a big struggle figuring out what's good for BeyondSlowMotion. I feel like my audience is largely split on what they subscribed for (some science, some variety talent, some just because I was part of GizmoSlip). It's hard to know what I can even make in the first place without alienating a huge chunk of my audience. It's like a third of peolle are here for brownies, another third are here for cupcakes, and the last third are here for muffins. If I bake any one of those things, then 2/3 of my audience isn't interested. Tough decisions ahead. That said I'm grateful for everyone and happy to make what I can. :) Haha Just having to decide for myself what is ok to pursue.
I've been watching Johnny for a long time. His dedication is so inspiring. Nice to see his skills in such a format. Big
Who do you think is the best flatground skateboarder? Maybe I'll hit em up to make a video. Hope you all enjoyed this!

I think the ultimate may be the one and only Rodney Mullen. Giger is still top 5 for sure.
@@MikeOrkid Obvisously, Rodney is just in his own league, he's the father of all flatground skaters
Sewa Kroetkov, Nick Tucker
Rodney Mullen
Never disappointing with the skateboarding videos!
Thanks Ben! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
God damn I forgot how good Johnny was. Dudes a wizard when it comes to flip tricks.
Really didn't see this collab coming, awesome!

@@BeyondSlowMotion I watch both of your channels, so this well.. Great start of my weekend! Thank you both!
I understood maybe like 3 tricks... Jonny is too good!

Thanks for letting me know! Should be fixed now.
Holy moley! I’ve never seen slo mo of skate board tricks. How does he move his legs in different direction in the air that quickly?!
I’m not really into skateboarding but this video made me believe that he is the best.

Oooh it's Jonny! :) Why does this video have only 1.2k views? Weird.
