I do love how Uraraka reacted to how Deku defines what a couple is/does in his opinion
The point about Toga is not so much that she’s crazy, as her quirk is doing it to her. She simply cannot help thirsting (no pun intended).
She cried while drinking the blood of her crush, who was her first kill.
However no one bothered to find a solution for her, like for example blood donations. Everyone was just like “be normal” even though she first started with only drinking the blood of birds.
It’s a metaphor for how a lot of people with mental health issues or genetic disorders are treated and viewed even today and especially in Japan, where that is still a bit of a tabu topic. Society doesn’t really cater to individual needs, but ignoring this can lead to terrible disasters, as people make terrible choices when desperate, mentally ill and or frustrated.
Horikoshis old work is all about pacifism, society issues, extremism and side groups and he adapted it into MHA.
However sometimes I think it’s not a good Shonen, because there is no way 15years old will pick up all the underlying themes or catch the reference to “the perfume” or “clockwork orange”…or the hundreds of Star Wars and LOTRs Easter eggs. MHA is a Shonen for millennials 😂

Man I don’t know why bones fell asleep on itself for a couple years, it’s almost like bones forgot they were one of the best 2d sakuga studios and gave us google slide animations for season 5 of Mha. But this is giving me hope again.
Well bones is actually made up of several sub studios A,B,C,D, and E. The super high profile sakuga shows you are likely thinking of by bones are either B or C(mostly B tho). MHA is by C but TOHO(the production company) has been rushing it out and giving the team behind it very little time to make the seasons, while also still trying to pump out movies. It wasnt like that in earlier seasons and thats why it looked significantly better. This season is also most likely suffering from the schedule but I think the directorial change has helped it a lot

I get that us guys are oblivious to a fault when it comes to recognizing that a girl is into us, but I’m pretty sure that Toga literally told Deku that she liked him when they met during the training camp. Also, is the trope of the guy getting embarrassed like Deku here upon hearing a confession funnier because he’s a “nerd”, or would it be a funnier reaction from someone who far less socially awkward, or stoic, like a Sanji or Zoro?

I’m sorry but I’m starting to get so annoyed they spent the first 3 mins rehashing things we’ve already seen this season then the whole toga situation was just absurd on a whole other level
Like this is the 7th season and the writers of the anime are still playing games and being childish like come on let’s get to the real fight all the extra nonsense talking makes it feel like a filler episode
Also I’m sorry but what happened to deku getting stronger him being flustered by toga at this stage is so lame
One one hand your like it’s the 7th season and then on the other hand your like everyone has gotten stronger but deku and him still only being able to use 20 percent is more than annoying
It makes you not want to watch anymore as they keep dragging it out and he is so weak
