"There is no end, there is no beginning, there is only becoming" refers to the end of the war when the two bloodlines will be united. Eve is already a hybrid and Selene is already a high-ranking elder. Eve can easily take control of all the werewolf packs and be its pack leader. Michael can do it too. With the 3 of them as high ranking leaders, they can end the war and unite the bloodlines. The future is one where hybrids will be the norm, not the exception.
Just watched the movie (yes I know am way late on this) and naturally I thought the same thing about Michael being dead because of what was shown in Selene's blood vision from tasting Marius's blood. However I have come to disagree with this after coming across the following post on another video discussing this very subject. "When Salene see's Marius's memory, she sees Marius draining Michaels blood in the Lab they were being held at. I'm assuming this is during the time Salene was a sleep and Marius would wake Michael and draw blood from him every now and then and then put him back into Cryo sleep. Then when Saleen wakes up she shoots the chamber pod so he has a chance to wake up and at the end of Awakening Michael does wake up and is very weak but still alive. What if Saleen just saw Marius's last memory of Michael instead of Marius draining blood killing him. Michael has survived worse before and like Saleen said he's unique and his powers could be limitless." With the above theory in mind if you re-watch the vision scene you see that Michael is shown still contained within the cryo tube and then removed, drained of blood by Marius. Considering the value of the subject and his blood we would be foolish to believe that Marius would outright kill Michael, far better to only drain some blood then return him to the cry chamber where he might recover so Marius can return to drain him yet again. As seen at the end of Awakening Selene freed Michael and Eve was able to sense him. We know that the blood visions are those of the individual whose blood it is so what we see is what Marius saw. If you go back and re-watch it is very slow motion you can clearly see the cryo tube is undamaged. If the memories where after Selene shot up the chamber then I would like to think it would have been shown as such in the vision. I believe that Michael is still alive and this vision is just to catch the untrained off guard while those like myself that are dedicated Michael fans will find the truth in the image and spread the word that whether he returns in a future movie or not he is at least still out there somewhere. Keep hope and Michael alive.

Right. Because wasn't he pretty much drained of blood when Marcus killed him? By the time Selene got to him and then by the time Corvinus's man got to him to get him into a body bag I'm sure most if not all the blood in his body was gone. Plus, he obviously got out of antigen because Eve was able to see through his eyes that he was on the roof. yet, there is the argument for the helicopter we see taking off from the roof at the end of that movie when saline is standing on the roof. Maria's could have taken him to another location and drained him there.

So many plot holes. Selene could literally have all the vampires form a line and give blood directly to other vampire hearts and make a super vampire army to wipe out the Lycans. Out of all the entire Underworld universe, I liked Lucian the most. First came out to be seen as the bad guy, but he was actually the good guy the entire time.
How about Underworld The Beginning in the next movie we get to see the life of Alexander Corvinus to the birth & transformation of his children Marcus, William & the 3rd child who remains human throughout the centuries all the way to Micheal Corvin.

one simply does not, kill the very 1st hybrid, only give him a chance to sleep a little more... then he returns later like a Boss in the most badass sense of the word, dominating all enemies with extreme brutality and insanely high body count...cus he and his child start to share visions again and he sees her and Selene in danger like in evolution he was dead dead and came back to life and lets not forget he mixed it up wit the very 1st and most powerful lycan wit direct corvinus blood and age meaning none other could come close to that power and Michael ripped his entire fuckn dome completely in half at the jaws, and some random lycan pops up with some genetic help to get a lil more power who couldn't beat William the original or couldn't win one on one against Lucian either, so how tha fuck could Marius end Michael just like that? it's stupid makes no sense! pisses me off actually, makes the movies from the 1st one no longer legit bein how they began with the main plot and captivating part of the story was the reason for the war, the 1st hybrid being "born" (with direct corvinus blood line leaving no more human descendants and bein of pure power) and a badass death dealers relationship with that hybrid.. even with the daughters birth and badassery, which is awesome story line, means nothing if Michael is dead..

i found many plot holes in this movies. 1.Why they said that Lycan never has a leaders like marius? they has Lucian! and he was better in many way. 2.isn't the humans already know about lycans and vampire? 3.wasn't Michael can regenarate from death and how can he die from get his throat cut?
1.Marius is probably smarter than Lucian 2.all human witnesses were all silenced when the forefather (alexander corvinus) was still alive and since his son killed him, no one was able to kept the war hidden. It's in the 2nd movie, underworld: evolution 3. Same thoughts 😂

guy yes, Micheal Corvin, as in a hybrid, isn't dead. draining all his blood would put him in a deep sleep like the elders. BUT Scott Speedman(Micheal) has no intention of returning to the role so in a way Micheal corvin IS dead(as in the Micheal that we know of) but also he isn't (being a hybrid in the underworld universe). sooo if Scott had the intention of seeing this series through - Micheal Corvin isn't dead. alsoooo, the whole blood memory thing is performed by elders-specialists: arranging memory in a coherent consecutive memory bank to show who ever is drinking the blood. Now, I doubt that Marius is an elder that knows how to do that so when Selene saw the blood memory of Micheal, she could've just seen an instance of when Marius would drain blood to use and then put him back into cyro sleep, or even Marius' last memory of Micheal. which would explain why in the ending of Underworld: Awakening, we see through Micheal's eyes as him out on the roof.

Not sure if I heard the movie wrong but I didn't hear "There is only the coming" I heard "There is only becoming". Implying her rebirth after she died. I double checked this by turning subtitles on and it confirmed the end dialog as "There is only becoming". Which I guess throws out your theory at the end.
Michael is the schrodinger's cat. The film made it clear that Selene died, found another world and returned. So Michael can easily follow the same path if the directors so desire, or may remain dead since the form of his death has also been given.
It is quite clear that it was indeed the vampires, or to be precise, Victor, who started the war. It was they who enslaved the lycans and even for centuries were bent on exterminating their entire species. Although, the first generations of lycans were a threat that needed to be stopped, the new breed, starting with Lucian, could have been loyal allies to the Vampires... they'd been treated as equals. They even could control their wilder kin. Lucian himself said that he bore the vampires no ill-will. It was Victor and the arrogance of the vampires that started the war and kept it going. The writers of the movies are seemingly forgetting this as the werewolves are portrayed more and more as the villains because they're now playing the game the vampire way... and winning.
* if Scott Speedman doesn't want to continue with the series they should cast another actor, I suggest Ed Skrein (the first Dario Naharis in Game of Thrones) .. he would be perfect for the role. * the title of the next movie: (Underworld: Dynasty Ascendance). Where Selene. Eve and Michael finally reunite and fight a new enemy and rule over vampires as super-hybrid-sun-walkers royal family.
I'm a huge fan of the franchise. I am really sad that Michael had to go. He did contribute something great to the movie franchise which is his daughter Eve. In the next movie I believe that Selene will prepare her daughter for what's coming. So she will be the next future elite soldier down the road.
Michaels my favorite character he's died or almost died so many times and he's always come back so the next movie he will come back alive and well he needs to see selene again and meet his daughter and david
just bought the DVD and watched it twice. Really liked the action. Thought this one is much better than the last and good addition to the series. The actress at the end looked a great deal like India Eisley from what I could tell. A look a like isnt out the question though since there was no dialogue.

First off... when they drained Selene’s blood... they took time. So, Michael could have gone through the same thing. And Marius slowly drained him but Michael healed and maybe at one point, one of Selene’s bombs rattled the device Michael was in, allowing him to go free. So, when Marius said “this is the last of him,” it was just the last of the blood and not of Michael. I predict a movie with Michael and Eve... Beckinsale was almost written out because of her $$ demand, twice. So, Michael and Eve’s actors would be a lot cheaper and would open a huge storyline. If Selene gave birth to a hybrid, not being a hybrid herself (partially thanks to Corvenius’ gift) then they could to a new path where hybrids can bite Vampires and lycans and turn them into semi-hybrids, like Selene.

Other actors can be found to play the role, besides, who wouldn't want to act beside Kate Beckinsale at their side, she's a remarkably gorgeous woman. He must have been Gay to leave her co-stars side. Roles can be changed to different actors. The memories she saw didn't include a brutal killing death of Micheal, just the memories of seeing him when he was frozen, and in the 3rd films ending, he broke out, and fled, fled into an unknown world, just as Selene woke to after 12 yrs. He knows what he is, so just as Alexander Corvinus, he chose to remain in self chosen exile, until the time is right to come back.

Michel is not dead. He cant be, in Underworld Evolution Michel was stabbed so many times on his chest. And his hands, and he came back at the end to help kill William. In that scene he lost a lot of blood. Like a lot of blood, he came back which is awesome BTW. So he can't be dead the guy may had drained some his blood. But he could still come back.

We have to understand that these movies have ranged from way back to 2003. I don't think they can continue to keep all these actors together again for example Michael (the person who plays Michael). So definitely they'll look for a way to remove these characters from the movies as they've done with Michael. P.S i think they should just end the franchise cause it seems they're beginning to run out of ideas which makes them take stupid decisions. And I dont want a reboot either, cause they'll only make it worse. Maybe a series for it with fresh new characters although I dont think anyone will fit the role of Selene as perfect as Kate beckinsale does.
How would it be if Dragons were included in the future movies. Like dragonborn who observed the war and studied these to species, but never intervened in their war ? I can imagine a dragonborn would have dragon eyes, and can transform into a dragonoid with badass scale abs :)).
I can see where u get the idea from, Skyrim, would be cool to see that in a movie format, but using them for underworld? I know I'm a little late commenting on this but I do see people saying about Marius draining Michael and some people speculating that he pulled in in and out a cryosleep to drain him but that doesn't make sense because in marius's blood vision it showed Michael out of cryosleep and his pod broken so yeah Michael is gone we won't officially know until the next movie

The Underworld series needs a REBOOT, bring back the original Elders, Lucian, Michael, Corvinus etc.. and DONT kill them all off in the first film, that will open up many possibilities
Well we kind of know when the war started... with the Corvinius Brothers... the lycan brother was untameable and unable to take human form again making it more aggressive etc... going on killing sprees... then the vampires started to kill them and eventually enslave them... and creating a prison for the Lycan brother (William) then years later after being slaves to the Vampires the Lycans fought back... after regaining the ability to take human form again...

Underworld Resurrection is my guess...michael will be back plus the resurrection of selene in blood wars The on going battles with lycans plus the new elders will be challenged by other vampires over control of the covens They will reveal that eve was a twin and her brother possibly named adam has been twisted by antigen and they will all have to save him because he will be stronger than anyone or anything He kicks michaels ass who has been tracking him and then selenes but then him and eve pretty much tie with adam having a bit of an upper hand...he bites her and get all ber memories and thoughts... Now adam and eve the first of a new species (pure hybrids) will bring balance and peace to vampires and lycans but can also turn the few existing werewolves of williams into lycans and they become the elders of different lycan packs
I'm going with the obvious choice for the next film's title Underworld: Bloodlines. With that title, they can tell Alexander Corvinus' story and Michael & Selene's daughter, Eve's story in one film....connecting the past to the present....I'm not too happy that they douched out on the creativity and named her Eve....
Interestingly, her character was going to be called Nissa but was later changed to Eve as Eve in Latin translates to Eva, in turn originating from the Hebrew translation, of "life", "to breath" or "to live" the writers wanted the name to revolve around rebirth (as her character is the first and only of her kind) thus, Eve was chosen. And as far as names go, it isn't the worst, to me anyway.

There are only two path ways regarding Michael's whereabouts. 1st path way the reason why tey killed em coz scott speedman maybe not interetest or refuse to do another movie of underworld since haven't seen em in a movie for a long time now even supporting actor. If you noce they use either speedman lookalike or cgi from that last movie and the rests are just flashbackare memories of selene and Michael from the 1st and 2nd movies. 2nd pathways, maybe Michael is really alive since every memories they get from a blood is not deatiled. Eve is already a hybrid and Selene is already a high-ranking elder. Eve can easily take control of all the werewolf packs and be its pack leader. Michael can do it too. With the 3 of them as high ranking leaders, they can end the war and unite the bloodlines. The future is one where hybrids will be the norm, not the exception.
Just watched the movie (yes I know am way late on this) and naturally I thought the same thing about Michael being dead because of what was shown in Selene's blood vision from tasting Marius's blood. However I have come to disagree with this after coming across the following post on another video discussing this very subject.
"When Salene see's Marius's memory, she sees Marius draining Michaels blood in the Lab they were being held at. I'm assuming this is during the time Salene was a sleep and Marius would wake Michael and draw blood from him every now and then and then put him back into Cryo sleep. Then when Saleen wakes up she shoots the chamber pod so he has a chance to wake up and at the end of Awakening Michael does wake up and is very weak but still alive. What if Saleen just saw Marius's last memory of Michael instead of Marius draining blood killing him. Michael has survived worse before and like Saleen said he's unique and his powers could be limitless."
With the above theory in mind if you re-watch the vision scene you see that Michael is shown still contained within the cryo tube and then removed, drained of blood by Marius. Considering the value of the subject and his blood we would be foolish to believe that Marius would outright kill Michael, far better to only drain some blood then return him to the cry chamber where he might recover so Marius can return to drain him yet again. As seen at the end of Awakening Selene freed Michael and Eve was able to sense him. We know that the blood visions are those of the individual whose blood it is so what we see is what Marius saw. If you go back and re-watch it is very slow motion you can clearly see the cryo tube is undamaged. If the memories where after Selene shot up the chamber then I would like to think it would have been shown as such in the vision. I believe that Michael is still alive and this vision is just to catch the untrained off guard while those like myself that are dedicated Michael fans will find the truth in the image and spread the word that whether he returns in a future movie or not he is at least still out there somewhere.

Right. Because wasn't he pretty much drained of blood when Marcus killed him? By the time Selene got to him and then by the time Corvinus's man got to him to get him into a body bag I'm sure most if not all the blood in his body was gone. Plus, he obviously got out of antigen because Eve was able to see through his eyes that he was on the roof. yet, there is the argument for the helicopter we see taking off from the roof at the end of that movie when saline is standing on the roof. Maria's could have taken him to another location and drained him there.

So many plot holes. Selene could literally have all the vampires form a line and give blood directly to other vampire hearts and make a super vampire army to wipe out the Lycans. Out of all the entire Underworld universe, I liked Lucian the most. First came out to be seen as the bad guy, but he was actually the good guy the entire time.
How about Underworld The Beginning in the next movie we get to see the life of Alexander Corvinus to the birth & transformation of his children Marcus, William & the 3rd child who remains human throughout the centuries all the way to Micheal Corvin.

I think the problem with Marius is he trying to be Lucius so hard look at them if you watch to blood Wars again marinus is trying so hard to be lucious he's trying so hard to be that guy when lucious BUT Scott Speedman(Micheal) has no intention of returning to the role so in a way Micheal corvin IS dead(as in the Micheal that we know of) but also he isn't (being a hybrid in the underworld universe). sooo if Scott had the intention of seeing this series through - Micheal Corvin isn't dead.
alsoooo, the whole blood memory thing is performed by elders-specialists: arranging memory in a coherent consecutive memory bank to show who ever is drinking the blood. Now, I doubt that Marius is an elder that knows how to do that so when Selene saw the blood memory of Micheal, she could've just seen an instance of when Marius would drain blood to use and then put him back into cyro sleep, or even Marius' last memory of Micheal. which would explain why in the ending of Underworld: Awakening, we see through Micheal's eyes as him out on the roof.
I don't believe Michael is actually dead. I believe even though Marius drained him, he will regenerate like he did in Evolution.

Not sure if I heard the movie wrong but I didn't hear "There is only the coming" I heard "There is only becoming". Implying her rebirth after she died. I double checked this by turning subtitles on and it confirmed the end dialog as "There is only becoming". Which I guess throws out your theory at the end.
If Michael isn't brought back, the entire franchise means nothing.
Michael is the schrodinger's cat. The film made it clear that Selene died, found another world and returned. So Michael can easily follow the same path if the directors so desire, or may remain dead since the form of his death has also been given.

It is quite clear that it was indeed the vampires, or to be precise, Victor, who started the war. It was they who enslaved the lycans and even for centuries were bent on exterminating their entire species. Although, the first generations of lycans were a threat that needed to be stopped, the new breed, starting with Lucian, could have been loyal allies to the Vampires... they'd been treated as equals. They even could control their wilder kin. Lucian himself said that he bore the vampires no ill-will. It was Victor and the arrogance of the vampires that started the war and kept it going. The writers of the movies are seemingly forgetting this as the werewolves are portrayed more and more as the villains because they're now playing the game the vampire way... and winning.

I'm a huge fan of the franchise. I am really sad that Michael had to go. He did contribute something great to the movie franchise which is his daughter Eve. In the next movie I believe that Selene will prepare her daughter for what's coming. So she will be the next future elite soldier down the road.

just bought the DVD and watched it twice. Really liked the action. Thought this one is much better than the last and good addition to the series. The actress at the end looked a great deal like India Eisley from what I could tell. A look a like isnt out the question though since there was no dialogue.

I thought she said "becoming" not "the coming", as in, there's only the ongoing process of evolving, like she did throughout the entire series. It's also the term Lena used to describe the cocooning process: "becoming"

First off... when they drained Selene’s blood... they took time. So, Michael could have gone through the same thing. And Marius slowly drained him but Michael healed and maybe at one point, one of Selene’s bombs rattled the device Michael was in, allowing him to go free. So, when Marius said “this is the last of him,” it was just the last of the blood and not of Michael. I predict a movie with Michael and Eve... Beckinsale was almost written out because of her $$ demand, twice. So, Michael and Eve’s actors would be a lot cheaper and would open a huge storyline. If Selene gave birth to a hybrid, not being a hybrid herself (partially thanks to Corvenius’ gift) then they could to a new path where hybrids can bite Vampires and lycans and turn them into semi-hybrids, like Selene.

Dont worry, the viewers of this series who cant understand it are beyond the laws of quantum stupidity. Other actors can be found to play the role, besides, who wouldn't want to act beside Kate Beckinsale at their side, she's a remarkably gorgeous woman. He must have been Gay to leave her co-stars side. Roles can be changed to different actors.
The memories she saw didn't include a brutal killing death of Micheal, just the memories of seeing him when he was frozen, and in the 3rd films ending, he broke out, and fled, fled into an unknown world, just as Selene woke to after 12 yrs. He knows what he is, so just as Alexander Corvinus, he chose to remain in self chosen exile, until the time is right to come back.

Michel is not dead. He cant be, in Underworld Evolution Michel was stabbed so many times on his chest. And his hands, and he came back at the end to help kill William. We have to understand that these movies have ranged from way back to 2003. I don't think they can continue to keep all these actors together again for example Michael (the person who plays Michael). So definitely they'll look for a way to remove these characters from the movies as they've done with Michael.
P.S i think they should just end the franchise cause it seems they're beginning to run out of ideas which makes them take stupid decisions. And I dont want a reboot either, cause they'll only make it worse. Maybe a series for it with fresh new characters although I dont think anyone will fit the role of Selene as perfect as Kate beckinsale does.

I know I'm a little late commenting on this but I do see people saying about Marius draining Michael and some people speculating that he pulled in in and out a cryosleep to drain him but that doesn't make sense because in marius's blood vision it showed Michael out of cryosleep and his pod broken so yeah Michael is gone we won't officially know until the next movie

I wanted to know why the Nordic chick at the end during the ceremony hands Celine a strand of brown hair that she takes out of her wristband at the end. I also want to know who that nor did chick is. Is that selene's daughter?
I liked the movie . thought it could have been longer and gone into more detail. unfortunately, considering that it didn't do well in the theaters, I doubt there will be another movie. I hope there is. but, doubt it.
I will love to see a underworld tv show. The next movie should b call underworld a new chapter begins
The Underworld series needs a REBOOT, bring back the original Elders, Lucian, Michael, Corvinus etc.. and DONT kill them all off in the first film, that will open up many possibilities
Well we kind of know when the war started... with the Corvinius Brothers... the lycan brother was untameable and unable to take human form again making it more aggressive etc... going on killing sprees... then the vampires started to kill them and eventually enslave them...
and creating a prison for the Lycan brother (William)
then years later after being slaves to the Vampires the Lycans fought back... after regaining the ability to take human form again...
Every film Michael gets his ass handed to him worse and worse. Hes the greatest resource that hasn't been used at all.
I honestly think the up coming film in my guess will be called underworld reborn because Selene was reborn making her more powerful at the end of the film ⚔️🗡🔪💣⚰️🤘
How about Underworld: Immortals or Underworld: Dark Force?
when I watch underworld for the first time it was on video cassette at the time I didn't know they were going to be so many awesome movies The first movie was underworld The second movie was underworld evolution and the third one was underworld blood wars and there's a movie that started it all The war between Lycans and vampire underworld
rise of the Lycans if this year or the next year they come up with the new movie of underworld let's hope so i'll be one of many watch the new movie
Next title should be underworld:absolution, and yes I'm gonna sound cheesy, but have bill nighy do one final reprisal of Viktor, vs the daughter of Selene and Michael,as well as the truth of how the vampires, and lycans came to be, and how Viktor laid a plan in motion for his rebirth, and the final war in the north against the lycans.
Underworld needs end with Dracula as the main villian since he's the true lord of the Vampires

She says There is no beginning there is no end, there is only BECOMING not "The Coming." Listen to her words try Closed captioning. When Selene firsts meets Lena at Var Dohr, Lena tells Selene the person in the water is not dead she is " Becoming. It makes the final words of Selene. Make sense.
for me the war between vampire and lycan is like the war between the aristocrats and merchants with humans as peasants or poor people in the cities.
Michael died in Underworld Evolution but he came back to life. I still have hope ❤
Underworld Resurrection is my guess...michael will be back plus the resurrection of selene in blood wars
The on going battles with lycans plus the new elders will be challenged by other vampires over control of the covens
They will reveal that eve was a twin and her brother possibly named adam has been twisted by antigen and they will all have to save him because he will be stronger than anyone or anything
He kicks michaels ass who has been tracking him and then selenes but then him and eve pretty much tie with adam having a bit of an upper hand...he bites her and get all ber memories and thoughts...
Now adam and eve the first of a new species (pure hybrids) will bring balance and peace to vampires and lycans but can also turn the few existing werewolves of williams into lycans and they become the elders of different lycan packs
They should call the next one Underworld: The beginning of the end

I'm going with the obvious choice for the next film's title Underworld: Bloodlines. With that title, they can tell Alexander Corvinus' story and Michael & Selene's daughter, Eve's story in one film....connecting the past to the present....I'm not too happy that they douched out on the creativity and named her Eve....
Interestingly, her character was going to be called Nissa but was later changed to Eve as Eve in Latin translates to Eva, in turn originating from the Hebrew translation, of "life", "to breath" or "to live" the writers wanted the name to revolve around rebirth (as her character is the first and only of her kind) thus, Eve was chosen. And as far as names go, it isn't the worst, to me anyway.
The next Underworld movie should be, "The Garden of Eve" .
Also, Amelia needs to be in another movie, " The Battle Onward" .

prequel is out of the question but hopefully there is a series 50 50 on that or eve her daughter returning to the franchise kate can only go so far in that role there want to kind of base it on the political structure and death dealers of vampire covens along with lycans also

There are only two path ways regarding Michael's whereabouts. 1st path way the reason why tey killed em coz scott speedman maybe not interetest or refuse to do another movie of underworld since haven't seen em in a movie for a long time now even supporting actor. If you noce they use either speedman lookalike or cgi from that last movie and the rests are just flashbackare memories of selene and Michael from the 1st and 2nd movies. 2nd pathways, maybe Michael is really alive since every memories they get from a blood is not deatiled. Just as the same with viktor and selene with her family. All flashbacks are not detailed why selene didn't know that viktor killer her entire family. So there you go guys..
