Actually, that's not optimal. 1. Take 1 long distance to unlock bonus for distance. That allows you to move more freely between cities at the beginning. 2. Take 1 fragile since it gives you the best exp bonus for 1 skill point (22%). 3. Take 2 rush to get second best (20%) and best of all (30%) exp bonus for these deliveries. 4. Take 1 special cargo to get all job bonuses. The best money and exp you make by taking jobs with all 3 bonuses (special fragile urgent longer than 403 km) That gives you best exp thus allowing to level up quicker. 5. Then max out distance. 6. Then take 1 ADR and 1 fuel. ADR rarely goes with the 3 bonuses but the price rating relies on min and max levels you have. So you get more money for maxing out one skill (distance) and then try to fill all skills to raise minimal level. All 1s, all 2s, all 3s etc. Start from fragile, rush and special since they give money bonuses, then ADR, then fuel. And do quick jobs, even though you get a bit less money, you can pick from all the variety of jobs in the world and you don't need to own any truck. Not spent = saved. Try to always go to new locations to unlock more jobs. That allows better job choice. Got lvl 65 so I tried many things. Maxing out distance first is awful for both exp and money. The sooner you get +70% exp and triple bonus the better. Plus the exp bonuses you get at the beginning will often determine whether you reach a new level or have to make 1 more run. And 1 more run = half and hour or so. Plus shorter distances allow you to get levels more gradually and reliably. And you need to run 1 more job to see new job offers after you unlock a new skill. The faster you do the sooner you see all the better offers. Once again long distance would only harm and increase the time to unlock cities.
This is definitely the best money making guide for ETS2 on youtube. The editing also stepped up a notch in this video. I love it! Keep up the great work!
And the last thing you forgot to tell is every time after a long trip you do with Your truck sleep three times before take another job . This is a trick to level up the drivers faster and to make money faster
Skills, Job choice. Okay, which method did you use to determine what skills make more profit? What are the Top 3 Skill orders? You just go after "money received" totally neglecting the time needed and xp-per-time-unit-ratio: Yes you can make 10k in one haul, but if you need two days for that, doing 5 hauls with 3k each in 2 hours each, that you make like 15k in 10 hours. So going just after the money is a bad tip. Why do you make more money with longer jobs per... lets say: a week? Also: You get better jobs if at least one point is spent per skill except "just-in-time delivery" there you need two skill points. The "less fuel consumption" skill saves money on EVERY haul whereas the "better payment per skill point" only gets you better prices on that exact haul. Skill Assignment: 2:26 Tip 1: maxing long distance
I’ve made so much money using this tutorial, changed my life in the game! Although I’m struggling irl this game has almost cured my depression, love from Mexico, yours truly the Mexicanspider.❤❤
I've been playing a month, have lots of drivers, profits flowing in. I've noticed daily drivers returning to base with no job, usually cost hundreds or sometimes a grand or two. But I had a driver with a minus 12000 cost on a job, no idea how. Do I assume he crashed if so this game needs an insurance feature.
I don't think it means they crashed hahaha. After completing a job drivers will try to find a new one that goes back to the city their garage is in. Sometimes they can't find one so they drive back empty and you still pay the operating costs.
That annoys me, surely it would make sense that my drivers could use any garage I own as a base rather than travelling back empty to their base. I know it's just a game but goddamit I'm losing a fortune.😂
To make money, basically just unlock taking up loans, buy new garage (+3 slots instead of +2 from upgrading your starter garage) Buy 3 cheap trucks. For example Mercedes has a very cheap alternative. x3 of the cheapest option you can find. x3 drivers. Then get another cheap truck (nowadays you can buy a used one for yourself) Park at a rest stop, and keep pressing Enter 3 times everytime your bed turns 1 pixle blue-color. Gz you won the game.
6:36 Yes, buying a new garage for 180k gives you 3 drivers and upgrading just 2, BUT upgrading: - lets you share your trailers - 180k/3 makes 60k per driver, while 100k/2 makes 50k per driver, which is cheaper per driver, so upgrading is the way to go -- buying trucks is obviously cheaper for 2 guys than for 3
Can't we Upgrade our hired driver's skill in ADR Section like I have a curtain Sider trailer in my garage, but my driver still uses it and doesn't take any ADR required jobs
Depends on the condition of the truck, if they have 4 or 5 stars and are around $90k it is probably a good truck to buy to let one of your drivers use. We are planning on making an in depth video on how to use the used truck dealer in the near future!
Hello! Great video! I was wondering, would you be able to do a guide on trailers and the best ways to utilise them with your staff and yourself! Thanks!
Experienced player here. I always use this guide if I starting new save file. But because I play little too seriously I always avoiding buying the iveco truck. I always buys MAN, actroz or even scania and I always painted with company logo for extra 21k lol. It's just more statisfying having my fleet with company logo on it. 😂
Just started playing again this week, so the video came just in time haha. One question: does the loan keeps eating your money even if you don't log in to the game?
*TRAILERS* are important. You need them to access the Cargo market which pays something like 10% more. Different types will offer you different jobs and having a trailer opens many more jobs. Make sure each driver has at least one trailer so their income is maximised.
My only experience with this game for the past 3 years was to strap on the VR mode with a cheap Amazon wheel and drink, now that I got a steamdeck I can actually put effort in
OG ETS players know the quick way to make money is to hire three drivers, get two garages at the furthered point of the map and fast travel between them. Rinse and repeat.
Good day i have being going around the media asking for help, i have ETS and ATS too but i have never stream live because it never allowed me to and now even when i try to play it just nomal from steam it got crashing from start to finish, the first time i saw the game it just like urs here but when i bought it i saw it change i thought i bought wrong one then i bought ETS and then same thing happen please i have alot problem with this game am using PC intel Graphics HD 4600 and it is i7 program yet dont know if this cant be allowed for the game or something else is the problem please do you have any ideal for such problem? i8 have write the software and they ask me for the game crashing log and game login i did provid it until now i dont get response from them i need your help on what to do thanks man
The key in making money is in your resting time. Every time you finish a job, go to a resting place and take as many rests as you can (I think 2 or 3 at most). It will allow for even faster growth
and this your game and mine are not same the first time i play it on there demo this is how it was liike urs but when i buy it i got different game am confused
A gearbox with an overdrive gear will save you fuel as you can cruise at a lower RPM. You don't need too big an engine: 500 HP / 2500 NM on 12.8 L is good enough. The higher the torque and engine capacity, the more fuel you consume. And if you are realistic by sticking to the limits, you only reach 80 Kph in cruise. Having better tyres with lower rolling resistance will save fuel - both on your truck and your trailers.
Bro, make a clear video on trailers. What to buy, how much to buy, how other drivers will get aligned with these trailers and so on. Make a clear in-depth video on trailers
İf you don't wanna do those you can do do some jobs and take 400k credit and buy one garage and buy 3 trucks and give to them workers and go to the longest ship trip and do that again and again your workers gonna make money and level up so they're gonna make so much money
you can also enable console and you can switch the in-game time. So basically you can fast forward as many days as you like, and your drivers will make you profit. Its little bit cheating just like the money and xp mods but very useful if you for example dont like driving in the night or cant find specific cargo.
The skill assignation does not look optimal from my point of view. The most painful experience at the beginning is that you have to leave from a location with a cheap $/km load. You can quickly resolve this issue by unlocking high value, fragile and just-in-time skills (1 point each) and that will increase the $/km considerably. My suggestion would be to spend 2 points only in long distance, one point in high value, fragile and just-in-time just to unlock them followed by a mix between adr and long distance. In this way you will boost the amount of money you gain at the beginning considerably, especially with high value fragile (for example) deliveries.
I only have just Enough time to enjoy my games, I can’t grind for months before I am given half the game. So I patched some about 99 billions dollars and started playing the game, never worried about repairing. I still do missions as usual and unlocking places and buying trucks I like.
so you are not playing the game but rather looking at what trucks are like in this game. might as well not play the game in the first place if you decide to just cheat your way through the entire game skipping the entire thing but well if you dont care about your time then you do you.
A good thing after u have lets say.. 3-4 garages full, u can wait or drive on the map until u are tired enough, then u can sleep 3 times minimum and your drivers are making money for u the time u slept. To get tired enough u need to drive around 300km
I really recommend that if you are a beginner, start on your own so that it becomes more gratifying, but after playing for 100h, yeah, I need this for my AI drivers, it also helps a lot when starting a new game on a different location, 10/10 great guide
Paying off your loan and saving up before you invest when you are established will save you interest on repayments. The amount you are paying in interest is more than the earnings of an entry level driver. (Although the driver will be levelling up from the moment you hire them.)
Thanks for this. Im doing my 1st play through and already made a few mistakes it seems. I have 3 trucks, 3 trailers, 2 drivers and ive upgraded my original HQ rather than buying a 2nd one. Also seems my skills are all wrong so I now have to work on that lol
I have about 15 hired drivers now, and honestly, between buying/upgrading garages and buying ~90k€ trucks for them, and seeing what they bring in, I'm still skeptical I'm better off now than if I'd just kept all of that money.
High value and fragile loads are more common. There isn't a chemicals plant everywhere. With the bigger cities in new expansion packs, you need to look at how close the loading is. 3 or 4 points in long distance is enough. You control fuel consumption with your actual driving if you check a box in the settings for realistic consumption.
I would suggest the first skill is the adr for infectious substances, and the second is either high value or fragile (I forget which). It enables the medical vaccines which is seriously good money...and only 5 tonnes loads so can be handled by a cheap 4x2 low powered truck
If you play with the Real Economy mod, my adivce would be to lean into your debt. The money that the drivers make will eventually outscale the interest payments.
Years ago when i was playing multiplayer and when i got back to single there was some time that my drivers did not earn any money for me. They were like stuck in a deliviery. And i had plenty of them. After some time i got spam with notifications about job completed and it got me to around 200mil at once. But this tutorial is so great. I actually made same steps back in the days when i started (later i upgraded cheap Iveco as a bonus for them heh) so if i'd start playing from beggining this video would be helpful as hell. I am definietly staying for more. Subbed :)
Before watching, for starter max out stackable bonus like distance and express delivery, then choose between : heavy, luxury or chemical i choose luxury because you don't need really good truck startingout then maybe upgrade the ecofriendliness
there is a ship travel that takes 26 or 23 hours, after having some drivers working and being able to pay the loans you can spam the ship travel, skip days very fastly the growth is exponentioal, to the pint that i buying and assigning drivers was annoying, i had like 300 trucks after that you can see as the money goes up evey minute or two, takes some time when you have under 20 drivers to really make money when skipping a day with the ship but now every day i earn 12-17 mil
For AI drivers the fuel economy skill does have an effect as it is in play for every Km they drive - empty or loaded. It is less useful for the player, especially if you have Realistic Fuel Useage checked in Gameplay settings. You can make fuel savings by careful driving - staying off the brakes, coasting, timing your approach to lights - just as in the real world.
If you want to earn profits more quickly, travel around the baltics/scandinavia and get jobs that are over waters. You will have to pay for the ship, but a 30 minute job can turn into 5 or 10 minutes and your workers will earn money at the same time.
It`s completly easy: Take a credit, buy your favorite truck and let it stock. Eearn money to pay the credit. After the credit is paid buy another garage and a cheap truck, hire an employee. Put every money in filling up the garages, hire employees and buying garages, when full. In my case, I can´t lose money anymore, because I make more than a million in 20 minutes.
Do not try to make money fast in this game!!! Trust me. You don't need it and once you've got millions the game is over. There's nothing else to play for. I've got €162M, 365 trucks, 103 garages, all the drivers working for me (355), and there's nothing left for me to do. The game has become a bit boring. So don't rush to finish the game by earning too much too soon. Take you time, buy the best trucks for your drivers and waste money on paint jobs etc to make it all last longer.
Actually, that's not optimal.
1. Take 1 long distance to unlock bonus for distance. That allows you to move more freely between cities at the beginning.

Ecodriving only applies if you are not using "Realistic fuel consumption" in settings.
So the eco driving skill won’t work at all if you have this setting turned on?
you can also enable console and you can switch the in-game time. So basically you can fast forward as many days as you like, and your drivers will make you profit. But this tutorial is so great. I actually made same steps back in the days when i started (later i upgraded cheap Iveco as a bonus for them heh) so if i'd start playing from beggining this video would be helpful as hell.
I am definietly staying for more. Subbed :)
Before watching, for starter max out stackable bonus like distance and express delivery,
then choose between : heavy, luxury or chemical
i choose luxury because you don't need really good truck startingout
then maybe upgrade the ecofriendliness
ppl really struggle making money in ets2?
Yes im 4hour in
there is a ship travel that takes 26 or 23 hours, after having some drivers working and being able to pay the loans you can spam the ship travel, skip days very fastly
the growth is exponentioal, to the pint that i buying and assigning drivers was annoying, i had like 300 trucks
after that you can see as the money goes up evey minute or two, takes some time when you have under 20 drivers to really make money when skipping a day with the ship but now every day i earn 12-17 mil
Is it real money 💰
good taktic buy one garage in GB and use one in cz sk or A so you can have your trailers/cartloads there and pick them up wihtout tp there
I went only 2 points with the Just in time delivery for extra experience, to level up faster. Then max out the Distance
Or use a Steam workshop money mod 😂👀
I have been playing ETS2 for 2 years and i have over 85 million and only 7% map is remaining to discover as i have mods for bigger maps
If you want to earn profits more quickly, travel around the baltics/scandinavia and get jobs that are over waters. You will have to pay for the ship, but a 30 minute job can turn into 5 or 10 minutes and your workers will earn money at the same time.
It`s completly easy:
Take a credit, buy your favorite truck and let it stock.
Just replay with mods?
Did you get all achievements?
@@Molkor No. Could look into that just to try to keep the game alive, I suppose.
Somehow this advise I believe applies to life as well. Enjoy the journey without trying to rush to the end of your life.
Exactly ❤the comment I was looking for ❤
