No he didn't write this song...Ronny wrote and gave it to Kenny...if you listen that's exactly what Ronny says to...Kenny sang it with Ronny in the hospital room mam...listen carefully before you remark about something.
This song is bitter-sweet. Kenny loved this song and it is a beautiful song. It's sad that Kenny left us at such a young age. I do realized God is in control and He had His reasons. Nonetheless, I love this song, Kenny and all the Hinsons. God Bless You, Gwen
God Is Our Oasis, written by Ronnie Hinson and sang by Ronnie's son, Bo, Ronnie's son had taken Larry's place when Larry went to preach. Ronnie wrote it and gave to Kenny changed a word or two, this while in hospital and close to death, still with His Savior on his mind, still working for Him. It's been said Kenny sang it in hospital room someone said below. Very appropriately sang at Kenny's funeral by Bo. God was Kenny's oasis and He is ours too. Praise God !!!
Ronnie was the song writer not Kenny but Kenny would say change this word or add a word or too. This song was wrote by Ronnie and was singing with the family by Kenny's bed in the hospital and Kenny was sleeping and he piped in and said add these words or take these out just like he always did everyone thought he was sleeping. It was a great story told by Ronnie it is on RUclips where he talks about the song and telling how it was wrote. I don't remember what video it is now. Love the Henson's. They don't do anymore singing like this today. I wish that they would get together and do a new CD but now it's the grandkids doing the singing it's not the same as the ones that was their when they first came to the music business from California to Tennessee to make music and hit it big. Gospel singers don't make a lot of money at all. They should be the ones making the most money from the fans. People go for the beer, sex, rock, rap. That don't worship our Father in heaven. We should worship our LORD more then anything else in this world. We need to get on our knees and ask forgiveness of our sins everyday. Thank God for giving us other day on this Earth he made and gave us everything we have. Prease God for it all. Have a blessed day everyone. Remember God loves you always and He is waiting to hear from you send Him a pray or just say hello to Him today anytime is all right He is always there when we aren't with Him. Let Him come in to your life and let Jesus guide you to a new life that is so much better then the one you have now. If you don't know Him. If you do know Him check how you live for Him. Are you living like the world or Jesus. Ask your self this question if it's the world you need to repent your sins and turn from your sins. Have a great day God bless you.
Thank you for listening and also noting the mistake I made by stating Bo was Kenny's son. YOU ARE CORRECT; Bo is Ronnie's Son. Thank you very much. I will correct my mistake. May God Bless You And Yours.
No Kenny did not write "Oasis" if you had listened close to what Ronny said in the hospital previewing this song as Ronny was singing to Debbie and Yvonne Kenny come in on the chorus and Ronny told him he co-wrote the song...Kenny told nah I just put a word in here and there is what Ronny said...So no Kenny did not write "Oasis"!
Kenny Hinson - best singer ever - any genre!
Kenny was 1 of a kind!! I loved his beautiful voice!! The Original Hinsons is and was the most anointed group in southern gospel!
This song was written by Kenny just hours before he died in the hospital. Just a true testimony of his faith! What a man of God!
AMANDA TRAMEL So Kenny never sang this song?
