The Beautiful and Bright Red Ibis originates from South America. It is an attractive bird because of its brilliant red colour. They mostly live in large colonies in South America.
They get their bright red colour from eating crustacean which includes the lobsters, shrimps, crabs, barnacles, and wood lice.
This bird is really beautiful and it deserves preservation. In Singapore we have a large collection which can be watched in a new Bird Park. The park has been successful in breeding many endangered species.
