Tried to watch this video last night on Safari on my iPad. The only video quality available was 360. Tried again this morning and now a range of qualities including HD were available. The video was very good, thank you.
I didn't know if Total War Pharaoh would be my cup of tea but this is my favorite series rn! It feels fresh from Warhammer and the campaign map gameplay is intriguing with the resources and dynasty actions. Makes me excited for CA's next historical title. Keep up the great work!
Hey Lionheart, the different symbols on the map seem to represent different "sacred lands" for different cultures. The gold crown is for the Great King of the Hittites, the golden arrow/bow config is for Kushite crown lands, and the golden owl is for sacred Egyptian land. I'm assuming that holding those areas gives you more legitimacy with those cultures.
I like the idea of you focusing up north for now. Once you have it secured, destroy Hetch. That'll probably end up giving you a very strong position to push into the territory held by Seti when you are ready
When comparing the units Lionheart whatever unit you have pinned the green and red at the side shows the differences between the two units so you do not need to hope back and forth comparing the stats. Loving these playthroughs!
I was quite skeptical of this game especially for the price at first but so far its really won me over, I like the more complex resources and campaign level play, will definitely be buying this one :)
Excerpt from the journal of a member of Montu's Will (unit name for a Canaanite swordsman unit (additional fact: it was part of the name of a son from Ramessess the Second)) My blade has tasted the blood of another human for the first time this day. My uncle and father fought the man I fight for, but he ran when it was clear they were on the losing side. Cowards. My actions today, I can only pray, have helped my family stay alive longer.
Congratulations on conquering Jerusalem! Just don't be rude to the Canaanites living there because they might adopt/create a religion which will cause the 7 plagues of Egypt
If the price is putting you off, I've just pre-order for £30 off a key shop. I am not a fan of Warhammer and so glad we have a historical game. Even tho it might not be the one we want. I'm learning so much about the bronze age collapse leading up to this game.
From the looks of things wood is the limiting resource for province development. Very similar to Troy - a good strategy there was trading down excess bronze and gold for wood in the early and mid game. Then once you've secured several full provinces and you've advanced to where stone and gold really matters, you can stop trading it away.
Lionheart, I'd recommend you leave Tim behind to garrison Ashkellon once you conquer it, or use him as a recruiter to drop units into forts. It will be the gateway into your core territory for the Canaanites to the north, so it must be heavily defended to ward off attack while you fight for the throne of Egypt.
crown is caananite, owl is egyptian, to the north its hittite and the south is kushite. Different culture cities. Also, there is a search bar in the tech tree now idk if you noticed it! and btw Ik you said the battles before were lackluster, do you still have the same opinion?
I'm getting more and more used to the battles, still feel a little off but I don't think it stops me from enjoying the game, the real highlights though are the campaign features and interactions IMO.
Just a thought: what's the total amount of gold you're spending on the Conqueror feature? It seems you'd be dropping more than 1000 gold for each conquest. With expenditures like that, I wonder how much the 1000 stone and 1000 food is even worth going for? Obviously it depends on the type of conquest you want to complete. Just curious about the maximum benefit and as always am enjoying the content!!
lionheart: lets get cav me: yes! nothing bad has ever happened to cav commanded by lionheart (the notion cav is bad with lionheart is pure slander and lies by the enemy)
It seems they are the most likely from the evidence available. Recent DNA analysis showing a close relationship between the Hebrews and other Canaanite peoples strengthens that claim.
It should play fine :/ RUclips has been doing this randomly recently. All I can suggest is watching on a different device. It’s currently working fine on my mobile app, iPad and desktop.
The new battle features are great same with a couple of the campaign map, it’s just unfortunate that it’s this game and studio and not a more deserving one
I'm trying to find something to get hyped for on these let's plays but so far I can't get attached to something. It's just a new total war with the same things as the previous ones - nothing new.

Im not excited for their next title. They need to make a new engine but wont
Really enjoying this series, much prefer historical to Warhammer
Warhammer is great. But, I agree. Historical are great. We need more historical Total War.
100 percent the truth
Next thing u know they release that the warhammer world is our true history lol.
Now we all know that -40 morale means the enemy will run away from you like its the olympics
I do like the idea of Tim getting a different regional army, it gives Tim a bit more of a unique contrast to his master.

The crowns are for Canaan. The Hittite lands are the two-headed eagle symbols in Anatolia.
Lmao I'm dying with the -40ish morale penalty to the enemy 😂😂😂😂
Pretty broken imo

Waset is the new kingdom egyptian name of what we today know as Thebes btw, and Men Nefer is Memphis!

Keep posting everyday ! 💯💯
The more I watch the more I'm actually thinking about getting the game.

Enjoyed this episode
Man minus 50% moral is wild

Not my type of game to play and have no idea what to do but it’s good to watch
does hetch have a food producing city? I might be a bit dumb here but that food issue can't keep being pushed back tbh
ashkelon can produce a lot of food so if lion does not procrastinate building it up, he should be good for a bit
6:55 "I can worship multiple gods, right?" Well we haven't unlocked the Monotheism advance so polytheism is kind of the only option for this civ.
Always read the fine hieroglyphs.

Elite unit name suggestion: Jackals of Anubis or Ra-Ra-Rasputin (depends the vibe haha)
Leave them on part one
To unite sinai you also need the faction that is near ascalon, Pel
Timohtep has been idle, only costing you resources for at least 20 turns now.
(Me liking every video of the people i'm subsribet to, because i know how much work it is to produce them): There was a special reason to do so? :O
How do you attack but stay in formation?
love your contents.
To be fair, you will need to take out Pel in order to finish Sianai.

Aren't the Habiru the supposed Hebrews in Egyptian texts or has that been disproven?
"Habiru" does indeed seem to be the ancient name for Hebrews.
It seems they are the most likely from the evidence available. Recent DNA analysis showing a close relationship between the Hebrews and other Canaanite peoples strengthens that claim.
What happened to the video quality? Can only go up to 360
1440p 60fps available for me.
@@lionheartx10 yea, I had to switch to my laptop and it was all good. Another awesome video bro 👍
I don't know why but this video won't load for me. Any other video on RUclips has no problem.

Is Pharaoh like Troy where you could not really afford more than 3 full armies?
seems like it for the early game but then thats the same for most total wars. Will have to see how things go in mid game to late
No agents in this one? Im not really a fan of them
yeah no agents.

That pretty much describes the entire franchise other than some differing campaign mechanics.
This game looks like a joke
