Excellent video, thank you. I agree that this isn't supposed to be an X5 or act like a 4.5 litre monster.

Hey jimmy great video. I’m now interested in checking this one out. I’m aggressively looking for a reliable commuter vehicle. Would love a hybrid I’m a dad of 3 beautiful girls 7,6, and 5 months. Any recommendations???

I've been searching high and low for specs on what to expect for highway MPG for trips over 200 miles. My assumption has been that while in hybrid mode (not pure) the battery will assist the gas engine throughout the journey (or does the battery eventually die). Therefore, I should expect higher mpg highway than say a non hybrid XC90. Do any of you have any take on this?

Can't beat physics on this one; you're right to be suspicious. Most days, I get around without using any gas at all. On my 200+ mile trips, I get from 32MPG (60 - 70ish MPH) all the way down to 24 if I'm doing 85MPH sustained on crappy rural 91 octane premium.
Absolutely not as efficient the vehicle it replaced. The Mercedes R320 diesel was more efficient.
That said, I wouldn't go back. I only have one 200 plus mile trip per month and the rest of the time I use no fuel at all.
