MY 6-MONTH UPDATE IS LIVE: ruclips.net/video/v0qLfCHCpzc/видео.html I wanted to give a little disclaimer that I realized I forgot to mention in the video - I was sent this device in exchange for my review. Everything that I said in this video is my 100% honest opinion and reflects my personal experience with this device. Hope it is helpful if you are considering purchasing Lumen. If you want to try it for yourself, use my link bit.ly/43KTi64 and code AVOBF for $50 off your purchase (affiliate).
When you blew a 3 after the egg and toast breakfast, did the Lumen app recommend what to eat for lunch? Like did it recommend eating a lower carb lunch?
@@The_Healing_Facilitator It doesn't give you recommendations for each meal, it's more for the day and it's up to you to decide how to distribute them. But there is a section with meal ideas where it shows you different meals based on the recommended carb servings for the day so if you're supposed to have a low carb day it will show you low carb options - I personally don't really use this because the meals are super complicated and look like they involve a lot of cooking.
I was very curious too and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to try it. I'm someone who loses weight veeery slowly, so I'm curious to see where I'll be at in a few more months :) Thanks for watching!
Most of my days’ meal plans are 45g carbs which is hard 😖 but I’m guessing it’s because I want to lose around 10 pounds. I do intermittent fasting for 14-16 hrs, consume carbs early in the day, I blow mostly 2s in the morning, ocasional 1s. Interesting gadget overall, I learned to follow my macros with it. Thank you for your review
I agree, it's definitely been useful for me so far. I don't feel my best at super low carb and I asked them to reset my plan so it's never under 75 g and they did. I wasn't really following the 45g recommendation and was still in fat burn most of the time anyway
Great video. Thanks for the detail and your honesty. Is it possible to do meal preps in advance fir the week or does it tell you day by day how many carbs et to eat? I tend to prefer doing my meal prep for the week in advance, otherwise when I get busy I buy meals on the run.
For me personally it's been 2-3 consecutive days of low carb, followed by a medium carb and then a high carb day. Once you kind of figure out your rhythm you will know when the high carb day is coming. You can also eat the same things on the high carb days and simply add a side of rice or potatoes or something easy like that :)
Yes I'm still using it. Unfortunately I haven't been able to really focus on weight loss because my baby started daycare a few months ago and we've been sick all the time. So right now I'm in survival mode and just trying to loosely follow the nutrition advice and maintain :)
So it's like any diet, you lose interest after awhile...lol Does anything you learned become automatic? Did u make any of their meal recipes? Did you go to any of those zoom meetings?
To be honest I don't feel like I've lost interest as I still use it every day. I just came up with a more flexible way to use it when life gets crazy. I fully intend to go back to a more structured routine with it soon. There's definitely advice that I implemented and it made a difference and helped me maintain the results I've achieved like making my last meal of the day lower carb, not snacking after dinner /stop eating at least 3 hours before bed. This way I wake in fat burn mode on most mornings which according to Lumen is a sign of healthy metabolism :) I've only been to one zoom meeting and don't plan on attending more right now. I feel like I have all the info that I need right now.
@avooneverything it was a lame joke, based on failed new years eve resolutions I've experienced, and meant nothing personal In fact, your video was the reason I ordered one of these lumens! I saw how you can still live life, and use it, and even if you don't see "eye-to-eye" with the device, it's still offering constructive criticism that does tickle the back of your mind, wich is the "hard-a$$" I need in my life right now... I had to order it secretly, not to hide it, but instead, to see if my husband notices any change in my behavior, weight, choices, etc, and positive or negative... I thank you for your video and would love another month long follow-up video if possible, with more knowledge of how it works, and how u see its improvements... I can see you look better at the end of the video, you have a radiance that was kinda dulled at the beginning...so another video would be wonderful...if you have time... I'm also watching other videos you have so thank you for making great content! Love from Colorado Sarah Zoe Felix
@@zoefelix650 I'm so glad my video was helpful! Honestly yes - in the last few years this is one of the few diet/weigh loss things that I've kind of stuck with for more than a month because it lets me be flexible and I don't obsess. Actually after I finished this video I noticed that Lumen started constantly giving me super low carb daily limits which I know doesn't work for me. I ended up reaching out to their customer support to adjust that and they were able to up my limits so that the device never goes below 75 g carbs on the lowest days and I really liked that. I really want to make another video at some point and I will - I just need to go back into a routine again!! I know it's so cliché, but maybe in January lol
As far as I remember they ask you if you're vegan/vegetarian because that can impact the ratios they recommend. Generally you can follow any diet plan with that, but you have high carb days so you won't be able to do 100% keto all the time. The point of this device is to train your body to effectively metabolize and use carbs and stored fat for energy so you need to be eating more carbs on some days.
Total for a year subscription You can find great codes, like I just found one for $100 off and thats the only reason I got it Watch RUclips videos on lumen reviews and try their code in the lumen checkout page, but try multiple until you find the highest... I believe the device is free, but it's the subscription that's 6 months or 12 months for like 30 dollars more... But definitely find a coupon code from reviews....I just ordered one, and excited to get it in motion...lol Good luck!
I have and couldn't really get the hang of it. I'm super hungry in the AM and was finding it super hard to last until noon and also couldn't do the other way around and stop eating super early in the day haha. It's probably not for me :)

Thank you for sharing your results.
Great review. Good luck with your health journey !
So glad it was helpful!
Do vitamins change your reading ? Does fiber or macros
(cont) order change the reading ? Apple cider vinegar ?
As your initial review was some time ago, if you are still using it, any more progress in losing weight?

When you n get "blowing in device" do they ask you
what diet plan you follow? say keto diet, paleo, vegetarian, metabolic diet, etc?

Got one. Only day 2 but it's not as handy as I thought it would be. Overpriced imo.
$250 total or a month?

2:25 Where do you live? Sounds like absolute madness going on out there.
