Not in this storm. But in the event of a downburst it could get that cold because in the shaft of a downburst the winds are dropping straight on down from several kilometers in the atmosphere.
Excellent footage - very clear at high resolution. Great storm... looked like biggest hail in the video perhaps nearly tennis ball size?
Yes it was about that big at times. Mostly around golf ball size.
