3 common problems for beginners and the solutions

  • This video is aimed at those just learning to use the microscope. As I college professor, I found that there were primarily three problems preventing students from seeing clear images. In this video I list those problems and show you the solutions.
    By following this advice, you'll find you'll be able to use the microscope more efficiently, get better images, and have a lot more enjoyment as a student or hobbyist.

    I just picked up a used American Optical 50 microscope and as far as I have been able to find out, this scope is probably around fifty years old. It is a great scope and has features I am slowly getting use to. I have found that different lighting techniques make a world of difference when viewing specimens. I'm having fun designing filters and seeing how they change the view. I will be exploring your channel for tips and ideas, so thank you for doing this.
