      This one came from my aquarium, where I place my collections from hiking trips.

      Have you tried cross polarized light? Amoebas are usually harder to see in bright field but their inserts glow in polarized light making them much easier to spot.

      @@MarcosScope Thanks, I have polarization filters, I will try that. yesterday I realized that I’ve seen lots of Testate amoeba shells, didn’t know what they were. I’ll start by taking a closer look at those.
