I love this live show, but I think this song is a little relaxing and soothing to be played as a live show that’s supposed to bring up the energy. This sounds like the kinda song that you would play in the car after a date when you are driving your girlfriend home to ease the tension.
How do you move around so much in the costume? i put it on today for the first time its my first day on the job. And i could hardly see anything. I was so afraid of hurting the kids because i couldnt see where they were. The head was also so heavy, and i kept feeling like it was going to fall out sometime during the show. I couldn't see so much, that one of my co workers had to hold my hand while walking back to the room to get undressed. I would really like some advice or some tips to help me with these problems, maybe thats just how it is, and i have to get used to it, or i put on the head wrong or something.
Tips: -The order for putting things on is pants, shoes, hands, shirt, head. -It helps to wear a sweatband or hairband under the head. Also, figure out the best arrangement for your fingers inside Chuck E.’s fingers. This will be different for different people, and may even depend on the day. -Think about what you’re about to do. -You know how the codes are “wake up” and “go to bed”? It can help to think of everything in these terms. Don’t think of it as playing a role. Think of Chuck as an alter ego or some other extention of yourself. Your human self is just chilling in Chuck E.’s room. -You will bump into people from time to time. Accidents happen. The key is in how you handle it. Act embarassed and guilty, sign “sorry”, help the guest up if they’ve fallen, offer a hug, and move on. You aren’t likely to seriously injure anybody as long as you’re being careful. -Alternate your gaze between the vision ports (eyes, nose, mouth), and just keep in mind that Chuck is a bit nearsighted. (Again, you’re not just wearing a costume, you are functioning as him.) -If kids are crowding you, feel free to wave them off, as though to say, “back up.” -The “time out” signal is your friend in extreme situations (violent kids, dehydration, becoming overtired, other things that mean you will need an immediate break). If you are in need of assistance, just flag down a coworker and call “t”. Feel free to nudge an inattentive coworker with your elbow in any type of situation where you have an inattentive coworker. They are supposed to be helpful, so if they’re being unhelpful, it’s okay to give them a light nudge. Just do your best, and you’ll be fine.
