I really like this layout however, I would make a few changes. 1. I would remove the microwave and add the full 3 burner with oven. 2. I would create a spkit cover for the kitchen sink. Therefore, half the sink could be used as counter space. 3. Change all the accordian blinds to rollers. 4. Remove the bathroom basin cabinet and replace with a smaller floating basin. Otherwise I really like this Coachman.
Oh, I love this one. So, my husband is an injured veteran, but family is spread across the country. I look and look and look more at ALL the nooks & crannies of each layout to see how the space is used and accessibility. His brain injury requires everything having it's spot. He's a retired graphic artist, and art keeps him sane! My craft is knit/crochet, sewing, or beading jewlery. That said, the TABLE seating area is perfect👍. The area in the bunk I could easily install lightweight plastic storage w/cargo net and there's our "craft room" on the go. The small bedside shelf is perfect for phones or to set a drink while in bed. I'm not a fan of slideouts, but I can easily rest on the mattress folded it looks like. That's what I need as duty driver. Hubby can still draw, snack, watch his shows, while I can take a nap instead of stopping early for the night to set everything up to rest and have hub feel like he wont disturb me. (So yeah, I LOVE the seperation of sleep & driver/table area.) I happen to LOVE the kitchen space. I'm not going to live solely in the rv, it's my piece of home traveling with us so we don't have to load & unload for every trip. So basic snacking or to cook up simple foods, great 👍. That counter raised helps to not have things slip off to the steps. The sink ... we use a cutting board at home, I can use one there too if I need more counter space. I'm not making thanksgiving dinner in there, but I could easily enjoy the leftovers in a cozy little datenight 😉. I do wish the upper cabinates thru out had larger doors so there's less trim/ wider openings as we have longer items to store for photography as well as ADA items. The bathroom ... if the door opened wide & had a secondary latch so it closed off the bedroom & bathroom space from kitchen you'd have more room to poop. AND the sink needs to be adjusted a tad. Smaller or float or be a fold down in the shower or just use the kitchen. I'm great with one sink. Less plumbing, less to scrub. I'd prefer a backup camera, but they're easy to buy. Ladder to the roof would be great. Lastly, swivel seats up front. Allow that great space to be fully useable for those that need better back support than the bench seating provides. At least the passengers side. Naaa....both. The bench slides in. Definitely both. So, overall, it's even a great sale price. If I hadn't had to put windows in my house, I'd buy it now and get us out of the minivan for the next 6 months of road trips planned. (Want a Veteran's perspective and a traveling billboard, in trade for short term use? He'd help design the artwork for a wrap on the rv. 😉😉 ) Thanks Matt & Andrea. ❤ I love watching all your reviews and input.
Hey Andrea and Matt. Well I myself would want a larger bathroom and smaller sink. Maybe switch the toilet to where the sink(make smaller) is and add cabinets above sink. Thanks for the video
Matt, would you please, please, consider show how far back the driver's seat goes and reclines when driving? I am 6'6" and I how found some RVs to not be tall guy friendly. I'm looking for a tall guy friendly RV. I've saved a few of your videos that look like they may work, but I didn't know for sure
Matt I agree with Andrea that a sink is required even in a small class “C” RV like this Freelander , However this size of an RV can take a page from the Class “B” RV vans by using the drop down sinks to save space in the bathroom. I mean as a 5’5” 259 lb woman I would not only be uncomfortable in the pooping position, but trying to get in and out of the shower without having to wear a girdle to get in and out the shower so I can easily pass by the sink without bruising my buttocks or stomach to get out of the bathroom is why ,if I had that Freelander class “C” RV, I would hire someone to rip out that current bathroom sink and install a class “B” RV drop down sink in its place.
My husband suggested a small fold down sink in the shower! Or just a small sink instead! But yes toilet definitely needs to be bigger! We love y'all!!❤
Hi Matt and Andrea! My loves are the storage and the dinette and bedroom. My dislikes are the bathroom sink to big. the kitchen and no conventional oven. Sorry Matt I’m taking the 5 th. I love you both for me not to decide. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
I am on the hunt and this looks to be the perfect fit for me number one I love the price number 2, I love the size inside, number 3 I love the bedroom as he said it's an actual bedroom
Our city allows up to 24 feet in the driveway. Our 2000 Tioga was 23'11. That is why we are looking at vans. A van can be a daily driver if need be, better milage, parking opportunities, etc. Whatever we get has to park in our driveway.....
My concern with Class Bs is they have not been around long enough for a solid track record. Both Ford and Chevy based Cs are glorified box trucks that have proven themselves capable of 300K+ miles plus service. Any vehicle may have some examples of a few units that drive for many miles but you need to have a couple decades pass before you get a clear picture of the real durability of a particular line of vehicles. Drive through the homeless section of any big city and the plethora of Class Cs being lived in proves their worth.
This one is almost perfect for me. I would like backup camera/android screen radio plus curtains for bedroom and front bunk. Maybe blackout shades. Everything else it does what I need.
Great video as always But as far as the bathroom goes, you both make valid points…… Bout I’m with Miss Andrea, there should be a sink in there, only it should be 1/2 the size…. Or better still, put the sink in the corner and the toilet in between the sink and the shower. Or, make the bathroom a full rectangle with a sliding door….
No Back up camera is almost worth 3 dislikes on its own, but I'll add even at this price point it should have a convection microwave. J lounge is number one like, if you remove the table and slide it in you have a ton of room for a no LR slide small C, this is going to appeal to a lot of single people who don't need the seating. Love the simplicity, simple means fewer failure points Love the huge bunk capacity, like I said this is going to appeal to single people and that's the primary storage area for them. Actually prefer the 22XG with back door and quasi toy hauler capability on the E450 chassis and no slides, just slightly bigger.
No cameras whatsoever make this a non-starter for me. No convection or oven, either? Even with a $74K price tag, I would expect some minimum safety features like a backup camera.
Bathroom doesn't need a sink... there are many things you can do to make that class c your own. Not a fan of the kitchen counter. Keep it all one level, and an extension pop-up on the end is essential. I'd install my own digital screen/back-up camera (along with security cameras) and solar. Is there an optional model without the slide? If you ditch the pantry/closet, rotate the bed, and have overhead storage, you'd save 1300lbs of weight. I'd hate setting up the bed if you want a nap or nightly.
Need a camera and back up. Sink in every bathroom. I don't see an ac? First of all, you could use the toilet with an open door. You're a married couple, lol. 😮
Matt, you had me so excited, but then I saw nothing for seating but that backbreaking 1950’s diner booth dinette that you dislike so much😩and stop with no bathroom sink😳 Andrea ain’t watching you wash your hands, brush your teeth and shave in the kitchen sink🤢
I have one HUGE like with this RV - a true Queen bed (60 x 80 inches). I'm 6'2" (74") and love to be able to stretch out. I'm guessing a backup camera could be added, but there's no way to add 10 inches to a 70 inch bed. We've had a Chevy van and it was fine and comfortably transported our family of five on many trips and vacations.
Matt - are you going to the Hershey RV Show in September? Need a small sink. That one is definitely too big. No solar and lithium batteries? Love Andrea’s dress!
Team Andrea. Hands off the sink!!! I have a bigger problem with the big gap over the bathroom door, tall cabinet in kitchen, and gigantic dinette. I want two swivel lounge chairs that can be recliners for watching TV, then swivel to face a table. I want more counter space in kitchen. I like the big sinks.
For medical reasons I wasn't able to drive our big class a so we decided to try a class b then but my wife would be comfortable driving. It was much easier and more comfortable to drive but for even two people to spend more than a weekend in it was just claustrophobic. We kept it a very short time and decided on a class c. We are very happy with the decision.
1. Keep the bathroom sink ... Remove the vanity!!! Shelves above. 2. Have the floor all one level!! 3. Have the bed in the back with wardrobe/drawers on the wall at the foot of the bed! 4. Split bathroom/shower will now fit between the living area and the bedroom area!
I'm team Andrea, cause where are you supposed to brush your teeth and where to you get water to fix your hair? The shower?? the kitchen? Plus it's a hygiene issue. Agreed, need the sink but a compromise might be to make the sink smaller or have a floating sink with no cabinet. This layout is actually really good for the size. Thanks Matt and Andrea for the tour!
This may have been a short class C, but it's on a truck chassis. The one's on a Van chassis are "this much bigger than a van." It is pretty decent for the price.
for the price as it sits, would not change anything, i would like to see this exact motorhome, and ones like in this price and size range, in a 4x4 version. probably add another 10k... nothing major like earth roamer.... no lift kits and all that extra off road stuff lights and winches and all that, just basic 4x4 as a work version of that frame built on may come in. anything else people could add later along those lines if they wanted to.
I wouldn't buy a van because they are too small and too expensive, plus never gonna have a wet bath. This rig, Like: Dislike: no seating except dinette, no external tv, twisty storage door locks, no rear ladder (deal breaker), tv viewing position, cheap blinds, you have to et on knee to use microwave, no oven, plastic shower door (deal breaker). Like: rear storage, ccc, useable with slides in, kitchen isn't bad, price,.
Who approved the toilet design? Like a sink/mirror to shave and brush teeth. Dont want to that in kitchen. Right main sink is too big. Overall, I like, would buy this motorhome.
My only concern is reliability & maintenance costs. I'm guessing a Ford would be more reliable and durable, and a Mercedes still more reliable & durable.
Rented a 21 ft Coachman freelancer this July and after 4 days we took it back. The inside was falling apart. This was the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Would NOT ever rent or buy anything made by Coachman.
Team Andrea sorry Matt I think that is so nasty using the kitchen sink after you go to the bathroom, all those nasty germs. 🤢🤮🤢🤮 gross put a small sink in there it would be fine.
But you’ll brush your teeth, rinse your toothbrush, and probably store your toothbrush right next to the nasty germ sink which sits right next to the toilet.. Weird
YAAA! We all know Matt thinks the world of Merc chassis no matter what the cost of buying and MAINTAINING Merc diesel even if it was gas engine it is triplle the price because the tristar on the grill. gimme an AWD Transit anyday.

I agree with Andrea, a sink is REQUIRED in the bathroom.
Team Andrea here. Need a sink in the bathroom even if it folds up like many class C's
I agree. You need the sink in the bathroom. Team Andrea!!
I am TOTALLY 💯 Team Andrea!
That bathroom does not need such a large sink. 😊
ALWAYS A SINK IN THE BATHROOM!! 😮👍
RIP Matt u were truly loved this came as such a shock anything an i mean anything ur team needs in this hard time just ask. We all love you guys 🙏🏼🙏🏼
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
🤗
I really like this layout however, I would make a few changes.
1. I would remove the microwave and add the full 3 burner with oven.

3. Change all the accordian blinds to rollers.
4. Remove the bathroom basin cabinet and replace with a smaller floating basin.
Otherwise I really like this Coachman.
I agree with both of you. The sink is way too big for that size bathroom and I would want a sink in the bathroom to wash my hands.😬
If you owned a food truck, there would be a sink for 1: food prep, a sink for 2: cleaning pots and pans, and a sink 3:for cleaning hands.
Just saying.
I agree, a class B means paying a lot more and getting a lot less. And not having a bathroom sink is absolutely f--king disgusting
Oh, I love this one.

Thanks Matt & Andrea. ❤ I love watching all your reviews and input.
The toilet position is not a issue for me as I only use the campground bathroom for #2. Keep the bathroom sink in the coach.
For the length, there's a lot packed into this motorhome. Pretty impressive.
Hey Andrea and Matt. Well I myself would want a larger bathroom and smaller sink. Maybe switch the toilet to where the sink(make smaller) is and add cabinets above sink. Thanks for the video

Just a thought - go to a Chevy dealer and try out a van. And note this one has an 80" bed, a rarity.
I like the beds at opposite ends of this RV for two people that are not a couple
Sorry Matt, got to agree with Andrea on sink required in bathroom just smaller footprint.

would be nicer for the front seats to swivel... just say'n. cute kitchen, convection microwave would be nicer.
Andrea is right about the sink...make it smaller.
Use the fold down sink like in some of the toy haulers.
My husband suggested a small fold down sink in the shower! Or just a small sink instead! But yes toilet definitely needs to be bigger!

That’s the same steering wheel and dash radios as my 2012 Chevy hd2500 crazy old truck interior’s
I am on the hunt and this looks to be the perfect fit for me number one I love the price number 2, I love the size inside, number 3 I love the bedroom as he said it's an actual bedroom

Needed a longer look at the bathroom
A fold up sink in the bathroom will work just fine.
No washing your poopie hands in the sink where you wash the dishes 😮😮😮. A fold down sink in the bathroom would work, though.
Need a camera and back up. Sink in every bathroom. I don't see an ac? First of all, you could use the toilet with an open door. You're a married couple, lol. 😮
I’m with Team Andrea on the sink 👍🏼 I liked it and the price!!I liked the bedroom, the over the top bed above the driver & passenger, refrigerator.
Our chevy c was a great machine. 2008. Looks exactly the same.
With the bathroom that small, I agree with that, get rid of the damn sink!
Team Andrea!!!! Women NEED. a sink. Smaller sink would work.
Team Andrea. A separate sink is a must for handwashing and brushing teeeth
Put a fold down sink in the shower
Matt, you had me so excited, but then I saw nothing for seating but that backbreaking 1950’s diner booth dinette that you dislike so much😩and stop with no bathroom sink😳 Andrea ain’t watching you wash your hands, brush your teeth and shave in the kitchen sink🤢
I am on neither team for health department regulation, and all restaurants. You must have a separate sink or even washing your hands
Nice unit for the price. Thanks for sharing! You two always do a great job in showing everything. Matt is correct for the bathroom!
Team Andrea...a smaller sink, definitely
I agree with Andrea!
Team Andrea! I get what Matt is saying, but wash your hands before leaving the bathroom!
Chevy has more HP and toque than the big Ford V-8 "Godzilla" engine.
I have one HUGE like with this RV - a true Queen bed (60 x 80 inches). I'm 6'2" (74") and love to be able to stretch out. Great price
I like the GM chassie.
I have a Ford E350 and its crap.

Team Andrea. Who wants someone washing their bathroom hands in the same sink that could be used for food prep? Smaller sink in the bathroom.
He have only had two B’s and they both have bathroom sinks. I wouldn’t have anything else. Works perfectly for us. 😊
Hate extra sink in bathroom. Kitchen sink 4feet away.
Problem with class c is overhead always breaks away, leaks, and dryrots.
The sink could be a flip down style in the shower itself and just reach in and wash up. Or if the toilet and sink traced places it would be better.
What if they switched the sink & the toilet position? Would that help with PPP
This may have been a short class C, but it's on a truck chassis. The one's on a Van chassis are "this much bigger than a van." It is pretty decent for the price.

Team Andrea! Must have a sink in the bathroom.
Oi Matt, excelente vídeo, você tem que vender aqui no Brasil. Um abraço para você e sua equipe, são pessoas excelentes e exemplares!!!
The BT cruiser is my favorite but this one is pretty good too
Must have back up camera and a bathroom sink. Ecoli cantami ation prevention Matt
Matt, YOU ARE WRONG !!! Keep the sink
thinkin' Andrea is the beard?! ~ ~
😂
Team Andrea!
Very nice! Thank you! Thank you! 👍🤘💛🧡💛
Team, Andrea! Install a smaller sink.
The price on this is less than what I would pay for a new Chevy Suburban. Definitely better bang for your buck than a Van and most class b+.
We all know, if he walked in to that bathroom Matt would be saying, “Andrea, what the heck, where’s the sink? So gotta go with Andrea!
Why does it matter so much that the toilet is porcelain?
We need a sink in the bathroom. No poopy hands in my kitchen. Lol
Who approved the toilet design? Like a sink/mirror to shave and brush teeth. Dont want to that in kitchen. Right main sink is too big. Overall, I like, would buy this motorhome.
team Andrea, that is not sanitary matt
No vanity is unacceptable to me. I do not want to wash my bathroom hands the same place I prepare my food.
Team Andrea here just give me a smaller sink and do they make any of those classes with two twins beds in the back?
My only concern is reliability & maintenance costs. I'm guessing a Ford would be more reliable and durable, and a Mercedes still more reliable & durable.
Rented a 21 ft Coachman freelancer this July and after 4 days we took it back. The inside was falling apart. This was the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Would NOT ever rent or buy anything made by Coachman.
pro matt, lose the sink...or change the sink and toilet around to make a ppp
Team Andrea, I don't want to brush my teeth in the kitchen.
👍
Nope not washing your hands in the sink, from coming from the bathroom…. Just nasty!
Weird
Team Andrea
It's literally comparing a Chevy to a Benz.
YAAA! We all know Matt thinks the world of Merc chassis no matter what the cost of buying and MAINTAINING Merc diesel even if it was gas engine it is triplle the price because the tristar on the grill. gimme an AWD Transit anyday.
I prefer the Chevy to a Mercedes any day.
Team Sink, it needs to be in the bathroom, it can be smaller but it needs to be in there
Remove the sink
Please do not degrade a chevy. The cab showed a 4500, the spec sheet showed a 3500. You did not like the inside of the cab, but they chose the least expensive cab to save money.
He’s not.he bought a Chevy truck a month ago😂
Hey Andre!!
Good video 😊 chevy is better than Ford all class c are not built well bad quality control but I would buy class c chevy but diesel pusher are better
Pedistool sink
Team Andrea. 😂
