I’m going to do something similar to my seat on my ybr only stock for meantime until I can get another form of transportation to build it into the bike I dream of
Hated to see the cool jacket destroyed but for a worthy cause. Seat looks amazing. I'm considering gluing the foam to a blank skateboard deck then using a leather hand sew kit for the seams. my old Kenmore sewing machine can most likely handle the pleating/batting but definitely has issues when materials become layered and too thick for it.(spring too small and needles too thin). Great job and thanks for sharing. Always an inspiration!
I really like the way that seat turned out. I need to get with my guy to make sure he can cover my pan once I am down fitting it and shaping the foam. If he can its off to FL for the pan to get done up.
Because you your channel I've started my own project. Thank you sir! Question...what did you use for adhesive for the leather to the metal seat pan? I've been debating on riveting mine but unsure. Thanks for the help and inspiration.
Just catching up with your channel after a long break owing to business travel around the globe. Tons of videos to come back to, very much looking forward to it. This is an awesome seat which adds so much spirit and soul to this bike. What's your friend going to say - "Oh, I got this seat from eBay"? LOL
Looks great man. Wondered if you could pull it off when you first mentioned this, and you killed it! Really has that classic cafe heritage vibe to it, props
When you first asked the tailor about sewing some leather were they surprised when you said what it was for? My mind would have told me to look for an auto upholstery shop. But, the seat came out nice, it's an interesting look.
ive just watched the hole cb750 series in two days, incredible work, the build and the channel... i have a cb750f and im gonna try it, its my first build... any tips?
were you running the sewing machine on an extension lead to the shed? too much resistance over a long enough stretch will trip it out. also, Is that actual leather or vinyl?
I was. I did actually think if that could have been a cause also. Tried some other tools but obviously none that would have the same drain as that machine. Yeah it’s real leather.
@@forthebold I bought one of your raffle tickets. I only live down the road from and I guarantee we know some of the same people. It's gonna look like a total stitch up if my ticket comes up. Ha

It was a nice jacket but I'd never wear it myself, but it lives on and for longer in this seat now.
with the triple seams and pleating it will definitely live on for a very long time

I'm sure it'll look good once done :)

Glad to have you back.
Got to do whatever works, beautiful job on the seat.
Nothing to apologize for
Shit happens
Absolutely, wise words

Thanks. Was wondering that myself too. Ha. Especially with buying a jacket that could have been badly marked. But the marks it has adds to it.
That’s a nice looking seat! Good work man!
Thanks, turned out ok
Very nice. You have a lot of talents! I always enjoy watching your channel.
Thanks, glad you enjoy watching it

Not really. He sewed his vintage car seats.

Amazing, I hope you've enjoyed it. tips.... take your time and enjoy it, the best tip I can give.
Nice job Anthony, do you have a aircraft wing as a work bench?
I sure do. It’s my desk
For The Bold I love it, there can’t be many about.
I'm curious as to how comfortable that seat actually is. Looks good though.
It’s a lot more comfortable than the one I got for the GS550 if that’s any way of comparison. The foam is tough but there’s enough of it.
We call it in Germany, upcycling. 😎 Good Idea!
Thanks
I highly appreciate your chennel, your designs are astonishing.
Please can you give any design idea for Yamaha FZ??
Glad you like the bikes. Best advice I can give is to design something you like. I can design bikes but it’s a chargeable service I offer
11:18 what is the name of this product?
It’s just an epoxy glue
@@forthebold thank you.

Ha. If you do win it you’ll have to let me have a ride with it on our roads.
Maybe you’ve said before, but where did you get the seat foam?
Nice work
Dime City sell the foam
you have thought about translating your excellent videos into Spanish. although I understand you, I miss small details. Greetings from Chile
I wish I had time to do that. Maybe one day
@@forthebold I imagined that. Do not worry, you do an excellent job. greetings Arnaldo from Chile
Would it be waterproof?
Only a light shower as it's been waxed after, nothing more than that but the bike would never be taken out in heavy rain.
Just wanna say: Seam ripper
i used leather from a computer chair for a seat once lol.
Anything goes
Do you own a non v neck t shirt ?
Why would I do such a thing?
Did you teach yourself how to sew?
My mum taught me years ago.
Not just nuts and bolts
A lot more.
