3 things. 1. Newey is 65, isn’t he retiring from F1? 2. Within the RB team Pierre Wache is considered to be the brain behind the RB19. Newey focused primarily on the front suspension 3. Newey probably has a significant garden leave, that would block him from joining any other team.
Great points. Here’s my thoughts (lmk what if you agree) 1. Like Hamilton, maybe Newey wants to finish his career in F1 at Ferrari? 2. I agree about Wache - and he’s widely speculated as leaving as well (and his paddock work bestie is Loic Serra who is going to Ferrari…) 3. Gardening leave is probs the reason he’s gonna leave this year and not next year. So he can still work on the 2026 car for the team
Would love to see Newey move to Ferrari, he has stated he has wanted to work with them and Hamilton. Would love to see this combination work. As much as seeing Newey at Aston as Honda will be providing their engines, with Stroll as a driver they will always be held back by him
I agree it’s what his heart probably wants, but I don’t think it’s what his head wants. A very interesting podcast episode to listen to - his Beyond The Grid interview with Tom Clarkson. He mentioned that when he moved to the USA it basically ruined his first marriage. I don’t think he wants to risk making that same mistake with his second wife. I think that’s a fourth massive reason why he’s probably looking at Aston over Ferrari. But hey - I predicted he’d go to Ferrari so let’s hope I was right! 😄
@@jakemorganGP from what i've heard he wants to design his own road car and aston is not in favour of that, ferrari is, and he want to design a sailing boat, and ferrari is thinking about making a sailing boat. it seems designed to fit him. and the prestige of ferrari+hamilton are a lure few can escape
I think he moved because he didn't want to be around when the shit hits the fan I wonder if he knows or is part of the treachery of the last 3 wdc's Max stole 1 championship and MB goes into a "slump" to smokescreen the theft 3wdc later the crap starts to seep out At least be honest about the whole situation
Hmmmm. I mean everyone in the paddock knows that AD21 was wrong (regardless of the championship outcome - Ham should have won that race - not necessarily the title - that’s a woulda/coulda/shoulda with all the racing incidents throughout the year). The MB slump was Mike Elliott fumbling the bag imho and now James Allison is back MB are cooking again so all good
Newey to Haas you heard it here first
🤣 Komatsu cooked fr
As a Ferraru fan, i'd be happy to see Newey in the team. But Aston may as well, be his path so i agree with you there.
Yeah we’ll have to wait and see. I do hope he goes to Ferrari though
Ferra ru goes Hamilton

I think he just wanted a Newey beginning 😎
Don’t give up your day job mate 🤣
@@jakemorganGP I mean it was just too easy 😂
😂
He hasn't left yet
He’s leaving though. Keeps my content evergreen 😆

Imagine the scenes if Aston and Red Bull did a straight swap for Max with Lance 🤯
i doubt aston is the first choiche. i heard various romors that says he will be in ferrari
