My theory: These creepy looking caricatures in 3D were supposed to be only for the intro and then the 5 would come out to perform but instead it was decided that the mascots finish the whole song because the 5 were all backstage breathing out all the emotions so they could return to the stage in character.
Idk, could be true, or maybe it was really part of the routine and I'm just so imaginative😁😁😁
