Well said Oliver! sadly, it's cheaper, quicker and easier for them to make them out of plastic, it also makes them lighter weight. So i don't think it will change anytime soon :( but here's hoping!
@Oliver Please consider giving out an Epilepsy/Migraine warning at the beginning of your videos if they contain bright flashing lights in the background, as in this case. Thanks for taking the time to review this matter... Peter
I do not like fireworks. I agree that plastic is a terrible ingredient in fireworks, I expect the explosion also creates more microplastics, however my biggest annoyance is that it must frighten the life out of so much wildlife. Foxes, ducks, roosting birds, bats, even domestic animals. All of them have no idea what is going on. It is so unnecessary - I guess I am getting old.. :)
I've never understood fireworks, the street is already noisy enough without them, and you are forced to hear the explosions whether you like it or not.
Manufacturer won't ever change if it's cheaper and legal. We need to inform population (like what Oliver just did) to eventually make pression on our government to get more restrictive law to preserve environment. In a broader way, I think we should ban single use plastic (mainly from food industry). We already have PLA alternatives made from starch.
So, have You Tested the ‘Fog’ Particulates yet..? People are wiping it off their windows & cars, & something in it is making them sick🤮🤒…😵💫..! Wouldn’t it be fantastic to be the first person to show what’s happening with it? Perhaps U have a friend who can analyse some of the particulates? That would be a tremendous service to us All.! Please consider trying it out.🙏🏻. Videos have appeared on line showing these Big Drones stopping for what appears to be a battery change & refill of their spray tanks.! U can see the Drones testing the Sprayer, hovering & landing on back of a 16 wheel trailer decked out for doing the operation I mentioned above. If U want a link to the Vid showing this, send a request comment back to me. He wants the EVIDENCE Shared…, far & wide!! Thanks for sharing your insights with us again. Much Luv&Gratitude to U & Wishing U All the Best for 2025.! 💪🤩👍. Stay In Tune With The Resonance of Love and Life.🙏🏻 🎼💕🎶💃🏻💕🕺🏻🎶💕
@@prof-losaplotamus6013 My background is analytical chemistry and mine rescue tech specialized in hazardous materials... In short, theses smoke/fog particles from explosion are mainly NOX (from nitrate) SO2 (from sulfur) a bit of unburned carbon and trace amount of various metals (Al, Ba, Fe, ) and unburned trace amount of dye. The dilution is very high, so the concentration will not exceed dangerous level in open field. You can lick the whole windshield and you won't get even close to the DL50 of any of theses chemical or decomposition products. By looking at your avatar DEF CON 2 and your previous comment, I will highly suggest you to get educated on basic science (not conspy, real boring and hard to understand science). To save you some time, you can ask your questions to ChatGPT and then verify the answers. Not perfect, but it's way faster and more accurate than any conspi website.

This makes me think about plastic on new year. It's not a lot per rocket, but the sheer scale of the light show makes it add up rather quickly.
we could try and make plastic biodegradable
