That is one of the best movies I ever watched David play that part so good I give it a 100%
When enjoying the movie I felt as if I was watching a western drama. This kind of western classic are very rare. Fine acting I really loved it … thumbs up !!!
I think this is Alan Ladd's best movie, even better than "Shane". I've seen it many times, and great supporting cast especially by his son David. It's a shame Hollywood doesn't make good decent movies like this any more. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, these old classics are full holes, but they were meant to be entertainment nothing more. And they're still better than the crap out of Hollywood now.
One of the best movies of all time...I was four years old when it was made. Sadly Hollywood has changed, and not for the better.
This wonderfully heartwarming film definitely falls SOLIDLY within the realm of an *Oldie But Goodie* .....!!!!!
Olivia de Havilland is perfectly cast here, with Alan Ladd in rather Prime Form, too!!
Dean Jagger and Harry Dean Stanton filled-out the casting bill in style, with a nice John Carradine opening cameo.
Little David actually IS Alan Ladd's son in real "real life".
And of course, LANCE the brilliant sheep dog absolutely _"Stole The Show"_ .......!!!!
What’s not to like, Alan Ladd & Olivia De Havilland in a quality movie. My rating 8/10
What an amazing wonderful classic movie ever made 🥰 got my heart melted...I wish life now was like before.. just classic ❤️
Over the years after seeing this film in the theater when it first came out I must have watch it 3 or 4 times on tv and RUclips. Each time I watch it the movie gets better and better. I always liked Alan Ladd's acting since the movie Shane. This film has a Excellent Cast, Story, Director and a plus of a great Jerome (The Big Country) Moross Music Score. Thank for the Excellent upload. Out.
In my opinion The Proud Rebel is the best movie ever!!!!!!!
One of best Alan Ladd films beside Shane. His first film for David Ladd, Alan’s son.
what a story?Tho it belongs to the old order,i couldnt help the sense of humour and fatherly love Ladd displays. If all fathers could emulate this the world would be a better place to the" motherless" children
Huge Ladd fan ever since I saw him in This Gun for Hire--TY
I’m here because my brother has been telling me you got to watch this movie so here I am. Great movie 🎥 🍿 they certainly don’t make them like they used to

A good movie . Thanks for sharing.
Made in time’s when movies were worth the time you could give them.
What a wonderful tear jerker. The level of violence was quite mild. Great ending.
Smooth, a cool Western with lots of mushy moments and even a fair shootout ... worth every running minute... Thanks for the great upload WM..!

Lovely movie.
Muito bom,vale a pena assistir
Classic
Ken Curtis aka ,who played on Gunsmoke as Festis Haggen was actually very handsome under that gruffy beard and his classic crazy eyed side stare , Allen Ladd wasn't too bad looking either
Harry Dean Stanton cedited in '58?
what a career!!!
Good movie
Goes and shows that intelligence thinking is stronger than guns.
Number 1
frumos film
That ladies hat.
it was okay...but i wanted a stand up gunfights like in, Shane!
1:20:24 and 1:24:57 The sign for "lying" is "talking out the side of your mouth".
Don't hear much about faith and the affects of bitterness in movies these days!
Faceing this very very nice 60 years old film I guess why today Holliwood produces that overloading amount of bloody expansive shit (Spider Man, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Thor, etc. ) !!!
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Sooooooo the boy has had a shock and cannot speak because of that... so the doctor immediately thinks it's possible to do a surgery on the poor kid? Lobotomy?
Lars Rye Jeppesen The Dr never asked the father about the shock!!! Since there's no ma around the boy probably saw her die. Probably horrific by an army person. Anyway, I like Alan Ladd. Wasn't the boy in a tv series in the 1950's?? Lassie maybe??
The boy (David Ladd) is actually Alan Ladd's son..
www.imdb.com/name/nm0480454
Pretty sure he wasn't in Lassie though..
not better than shane never
The scenery, the good look at old buggies, wagons and farm implements was nice to see, but the wussy character, bad writing, made shameful. Thumbs down.
That's the way movies were made in those days..
oooohhhhyes
Exelent. Movie. 🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💢💥💫💣🗯💣🗯💣👌👍
That was a great movie
