Congratulations!!! That is incredibly inspiring. I can definitely relate to what you said about getting debt free is so much easier when you can actually just TALK about it. I had so much shame around having debt and it wasn't until I could admit that to other people, did things really begin to shift for me. Life becomes a lot easier when you can just admit to yourself that where you're at doesn't define where you'll be able to go.
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! My husband and I paid off all of our non-mortgage debt in 2018 and since then we've been chipping at our mortgage and maxing our retirement savings. I've really appreciated your videos. I've always had an issue with emotional spending and still do. I use your tips to keep it under control. Sometimes I still spend emotionally, but now I do it within my budget without going into debt. I keep working at it though because I hate waste and that's what emotional spending often leads to for me. Keep going girl!

But since I found your channel even at 46 I need to ‘know my why’ every day. stop chasing the perfect item when I have so much of the same thing already, and do some hard self analysis as to why I shop. The noise gets loud for me a lot as am an emotional shopper. But when the noise ramps up, I watch your videos and come back to earth. Thankyou for sharing your journey. Watching from Australia. 🇦🇺

I paid off my student debt 3 months ago and 3 months prior to submitting my masters dissertation. While it definitely wasn't the same amount of debt as yours because I'm not American, I definitely feel you re: the pain of being in debt, and the sense of relief to get it behind you. Congratulations! You've done so damn well and have shared such an important story for all of us who have struggled with this!
