- We absolutely LOVE St. Thomas! This is only our second time in this port but we are ready to explore and hit the beach! Ivan, the best taxi driver on the island, took us all over the place to show us the best views. One overlook to another it just got better and better! Then we were on top of the mountain at the highest point on the island, where not only was the view spectacular, but they serve World Famous Banana Daquiris... and yes, they were as good as advertised!
When our island tour was over, Ivan dropped us off at the beach in Magens Bay. This beach has been named one of the top 10 beaches in the world... did we agree? Is it as beautiful as expected???
Once back on the ship, we have an exciting evening planned! First up is dinner at Wonderland... this restaurant is just amazing! The food is interesting... and most of it is really good. And then we see the most incredible show we have ever witnessed on a cruise ship at the Aqua Theater on Harmony of the Seas!

My cousin got married on Magens Bay. We were on the NCL Escape and we were the only ship in port that day. It was a magical experience!

I was there back in the late 80's when I was on a Naval Vessel, loved the place. I guess I will have to go back and take my wife.
I got married on Magen’s Bay beach at sunset in July of 2000. It was stunning then we rented a fifty foot Grand Banks Trawler and island hopped for 10 days around US and British Virgin Islands. It was magical. Virgin Islands are my favorite place.
I loved visiting St. Thomas on my last cruise. We went to Drake's seat, then Magen's Bay, and finished up the day taking the sky ride to Paradise Point. Easily my favorite cruise day ever. The water is stunning, the little schools of silver fish flashing in the sunlight, and the sand was so soft underfoot. Absolute bliss and I can't wait to go back.

We went there on one of our Disney cruises. Loved the banana daiquiri place. It was beautiful up there and the daiquiris were great.
The beach looks wonderful as I could spend all day in the water. Entertainment looks amazing. Stay safe. Cheers.!
Wife and I were married on Lindquist Beach. Beautiful island. As well as St John.
I’ve been to St Thomas twice, both times as a port of call. We went to Magens Bay the first time, and Sapphire the second. I much preferred Magens Bay; Sapphire is bigger, but it’s rocky, and seaweed’y (is that a word?) and prime for snorkeling if that’s your thing. Magens is tranquil, with powder soft sand, and crystal clear water, no waves… just beautiful.
One tip we have learned about St. Thomas is to stop at the bar right off the port when you get off the ship for beer. We love going to Magen’s Bay but instead of spending $20+ for a bucket of five beers, the ones at the bar were $2-$3 when we were there last in January 2020!

Thank you! I was gonna say ten bucks for a weak frozen drink is unacceptable lol! And five bucks for a Michelob? I'd find other ways to support the place and people with souvenirs or a tour or something for sure, and get a buzz before getting off the ship lmao!

St Thomas is always a fun port! I’ve toured the island and seen Magen’s Bay, but still haven’t had a beach day there. We usually go to Sapphire Beach because it’s also such a beautiful spot, and not as busy. The aqua show looked amazing!!

Just starting the video but we love St Thomas and love Magens Bay. Spent Thanksgiving day at Magens last year. Been to Magens 3 times in a row, Coki once and Emerald Beach once. Want to try Sapphire Beach next but Magens keeps drawing us back.
Also must catch up on your Harmony videos. Our favorite ship so far and have done it 3x out of Port Canaveral.

We went to the Mountain Top & Magens Bay Beach back in November and absolutely loved it! Would love to go back again! We have also been on the Harmony and watched the Aqua show. Nothing but amazing!
I was in St. Thomas last month. Saw the steel drum player...even bought his cd 😁😁 he was a good time!

We went to St. Thomas and Magen's Bay Beach back in 2019. It was probably the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. We got there pretty early before all the crowds and actually swam with wild sea turtles. It was amazing!

Been to Magens Bay many times. It is beautiful there. Next time your in St Thomas take the ferry to St Johns to Trunk’s Bay. St. John’s is so so beautiful also !!! Looks like your having a great cruise!!!

Magen’s Bay beach is amazing even on non-cruise ships days!! It’s so peaceful and way less crowded. We stayed a week in St. Thomas and explored with a rental car.

My home! Let´s have lunch. And he is right, no venomous species on island or I should say indigenous to the island . As of late, people have been moving to the islands and bringing their pet snakes and releasing them when they leave. Fish and Wildlife has been getting a lot of calls about invasive species, especially snakes, so you know its a big deal. I am glad you enjoyed my home. Heading on an Alaskan cruise this year, trading in my warmth for some cold...just for a few days! Happy Cruising!

Great video guys! First video of yours that I've seen. I liked and subscribed... The wife and I've been to St Thomas twice on Celebrity's Equinox, and last year we rented a house and took the family for a week. As I type this on Friday 7/15/22, we (the family) will be arriving on the Island exactly one week from now. We've rented another house and will spend 8 nights on the island. (We're back on the water next April ('23) when the wife and I are taking my older sister on her first cruise. Ten nights on Equinox.

On our second call at St Thomas, we took a ferry to St John. Beach at National Park was exceptional! Trunk Bay has a snorkeling trail that is great for all ages

I live in STT. When my friends came on a ship in December. I took them to both overlooks.
Though I live here, the view is still breathtaking every day. Next time you come check out Secret Harbor.

I have been to Megan's Bay and it is nice but the beaches in Aruba beats it hands down. ST Thomas does have georgious scenery.
Harmony of the Seas is my family’s favorite ship currently although we are trying to book Wonder of the Seas for later in the year!

Next time you need to get the foot long banana daiquiri. We ate at Wonderland on Anthem of the Seas. To be honest we thought it was gimmicky and even though we had the unlimited dining package we made no attempts to return. Personally I preferred the MDRs over the speciality dining but the Sushi restaurant was closed and we really wanted to try it!
Next time take the ferry over to St John and go to Trunk Bay!! The best beach!!

I visited all those overlooks in Jan. 2020. NCL Encore. Didn't go to Magen's Bay- maybe next time. Took pictures from overlooks & had to world famous banana daiquiri. It was so good!! I thought Genesis name was spelled like the beer, Hennessey Lol!!

I did a very similar tour in St. Thomas when I was on the Freedom of the Seas. The first of the Freedom Series. I was on it in 2007 and the ship was only a year old. My last cruise was in 2010 on the Oasis. I really miss cruising. How safe is it on the ship now? Are there many cases of Omicron now?
Getting on the Harmony in 11 days. We don’t have a cruise excursion in St. Thomas and always concerned with venturing outside the cruise excursions. This seems like it was SO MUCH FUN! How much was this trip with the Taxi Driver and I’m guessing you felt 100% comfortable????

When I saw this video thumbnail I thought to myself, "Why isn't he wearing his arm sling??" Then read the thumbnail and realized that it was a previous cruise!! What a nice driver. What cool experience at Wonderland.

I Love Magens Bay. I remember many years ago "70's" that no boats, sailboats, or yachts were allowed to enter anywhere near this beautiful beach. Now I see many vessels. Eventually this will be ruining the waters. Makes me very sad.😮💨😔

Do you have a link for his tour? The only thing I'm pulling up for his name is for Virgin Gorda but there is no Ivan Nicholas for St Thomas. I see his official U.S. VI Tour association badge on his pocket under his name but no other designation for contact. Unless I'm missing something

I found a tripadvisor comment with a phone number to reach Ivan, but it does not seem to be an offical group/company.
