Yup, either continue with the Nightmare series title tracks: - You and I - What - Piri or if you want to diverge a little from all these rocky songs, try the rest of their albums (never skip their intro tracks): - Welcome to Dreamworld - Emotion (has a special clip) - My Toys - Lullaby (has a special clip)

Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher! Chase Me was indeed their debut song, released on January 13th, 2017, which was 7 years ago last Saturday. Good Night and Fly High were both released in 2017 as well, so they had a VERY strong first year. So far, you've seen. Chase Me Good Night Fly High Deja Vu Scream Red Sun Boca Odd Eye BEcause Maison Vision Bonvoyage OOTD For Title tracks and special releases that leaves You & I What Piri Breaking Out - 1st Japanese release R.o.S.E. "Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Good Night is one of their heavier releases, and I love it. The K-Rock girl group Rolling Quartz also did an excellent cover of it. The Nightmare hunter casts spells to trap the members, but they get the book from him and turn it against him, trapping him behind the mirror. The next song in the Nightmare arc, "Fly High", is from the album "Prequel", which is a strong hint to consider. 😉 That is also a very interesting song. "Fly High" is probably the poppiest of the Nightmare arc. It was not done by their usual production team as well. But it makes sense, since this is a prequel, so bringing in a bit of the Minx sound makes sense to me. There are really heavy parts in it as well, which clearly state that they are not Minx anymore. And I love the dark parts thrown in, they really make the song special. The light part sung by SuA after the metal break is in major, while the rest of the song is in minor. That is why it stands out so much. They did the same in Good Night, but a lot shorter. About the MV: You can see Yoohyeon burning the spider, which brought the curse of the spider queen down on the members. You will see the spider queen again in You and I. In Native American mythology, spiders are considered protectors, that is why a Dreamcatcher resembles a spider's net. That is a brilliant connection to their name! 😊
It's a septology (googles, yep that's a word). Seven songs following the story of the 7 little nightmares. Chase Me (debut), Good Night, Fly High (origin story), You and I, What, Piri, and Breaking Out. Seven members, seven songs. Breaking Out fell through cracks because it's Japanese language so could not be broadcast or promoted in Korea (Japan and Korea don't get along). Dreamcatcher were trying to break into the Japanese market which is much bigger than South Korea and where rock is popular. Covid ended all of that so the song went nowhere and got separated from the first six. In the 'Making of' video that came with the Japanese album, Sua said Breaking Out was the final song in the series and shows them escaping from the nightmare. ruclips.net/video/yWNCJnz08gs/видео.html
Not only was Chase Me their debut song but they were trying the concept that isn't tried before in K-pop as well as the rock and other elements to be the theme of their music also pretty unusual in K-pop at the time. So it was an extremely brave project.
As at least one person has mentioned, these songs are the first three in what has been termed the "Nightmare series." In the first one, we see a Nightmare Hunter exploring a hotel which is seemingly haunted by the Dreamcatcher members. In the second one, the Nightmare Hunter attempts to exorcise the girls using "the book," but the girls are able to steal the book from him and use it to trade places with him, trapping him in this alternate "mirror dimension." The third one is a prequel, showing how the girls became nightmares. They are students at a kind of boarding school and darkness slowly overtakes them as they find the book, attempt magical rituals, and explore the nearby woods. Eventually, Yoohyeon burns the spider using a magnifying glass, which angers the Spider Queen. You will see more of the Spider Queen and her revenge against Yoohyeon in the next song in the series "You and I." Following that are "What" and "Piri." The Japanese song "Breaking Out" is a kind of unofficial alternate ending to the Nightmare series.

Fun fact, fly high is the beginning, the prequel - it is how they got into chase me and goodnight.
