    Sick cliff launching - you don't see videos of it too often. What is your recommended paragliding --> speedwing progression (if any, because I know Saboba Flight School is an option)? I've got my Skydiving B-License and was planning on getting my P2 at Point of the Mountain this summer, but now I am getting sent overseas for a bit.

      Thanks Chase! Soboba is rad! I learned from Rich there. Point of the Mountain is another great place for learning, as is Horseshoe Bend Flight Park in Idaho. All good people:) I am sure there are places overseas also. Europe looks amazing for flying! As far as progression. I strongly recommend getting your P2. It teaches you about active piloting and weather. Since you already skydive the progressions should be quick! LMK if you have any other questions.

      get yourself a couple of books about aviation weather and study them while you're OS, skydivers are generally ok with the canopy part but lack good weather knowledge, it will take years to get an understand of the air so might as well start now.. also,I'd recommend going and seeing Steve and the boys at Cloud 9 if you're going to POTM, and do PG to SF with them, probably the best option right now, although not a lot of opportunity to learn about no wind launches. Current management at saboba won't let me teach there so the place just isn't what it used to be.

      Rich Kennedy sorry to hear about soboba. I appreciate all the knowledge you threw my way!

      @@8Livingthedream thanks so much for the tips man! I figured P2 would be the route to go. Can't wait to be a beginner again!

      @@richkennedy8269 thank you for all the info Rich! I have been reading a bunch of articles from places like FlyBubble and quickly realized I would need to find some dedicated Microweather books. Really looking forward to diving into it. Thank you for the Cloud 9 recommendation - I've only heard good things

    nice video man 👌 Can you tell me how much wingload do you have with your wing in kg/m² ? and position of trimmers?

    • @8Livingthedream
      @8Livingthedream  5 лет назад

      Zaza Jalalishvili I’m 195 lbs, probably 220 lbs all up weight. In this video the green wing is a mirage rs 11m and the blue and red is a spitfire 2 9.5m. I like the trimmers at the diamonds. About 1/3 out. Lmk if you have any other question🤙

    What size wings are you soaring in Hawaii?

    • @8Livingthedream
      @8Livingthedream  5 лет назад

      Keegan Skokos I was on an 11m Mirage rs and my buddy Patrick was on a 9.5m rs. Soaring speedwings is sooooo fun!

    Nice video but too short!!! I think it's missing from our sport the vlog type videos that explain more about the philosophy of the sport.
