"what God has for you will naturally work itself" is true but not the full picture. To receive God's best, you have to do what God says. If you don't actively follow the Lord, you can't just say, "Well, I guess it wasn't God's will." So in that sense you do actually need to look for the one, otherwise you are just waiting for someone to look for you, which is a double standard. If no one does anything, how will that relationship work exactly? Perhaps you didn't mean it like that, but oversimplifying this like you have leaves lots of questions and gaps in logic

I've had a persistent conviction about a guy for a while. There are so many good things about him and potential that seemed promising, and we even dated. Yet God provided a way for me to remove myself from him and I grew so much more in Christ when I did. It is far better to listen to your convictions and walk in obedience to God than to pursue something for your own pleasure, no matter how much you think you love someone.
Simply put, if a guy doesn't want you, he'll stop contacting you. They don't do long flowery goodbyes
Pay attention to your peace level. Use as a navigator....

I’ve to admit something. There’s this guy who is not in the lord. We are still in the friendship phase. And, whenever I talk to him , there is a constant no in my heart regarding him. Moreover, whatever plans I make with him fail. And now, when i read this title😂 God is saying something.

Don't do it. I've made this mistake twice and you end up hurt. Listen to what God is telling you. Why bother pursuing something you know will end in the long run
In waiting a year and a half for this situationship to become more, I will say God used this man as a tool to work on my insecurities in an incredibly supernatural way. The relationship isn't different but my spiritual walk is.

Women need to keep praying in the waiting for The Lord to bring someone who knows what it means to be alive in Christ and that means we have to walk through the eye of the needle 🪡 in our everyday lives; not random events that surprise you.
I watched this video back to back with your video about why God isn’t removing your (my) feelings for a man. There was something in the combination of information that highlighted for me that in my efforts to gain clarity about this man and relationship in my life, I have talked to everyone about him, including God. The one person who I haven’t spoken with about it is the man himself. Why am I expecting him to be a mind reader? That’s unfair. I’m sitting here laughing at myself for my silliness. 😂
We go to church and then go for coffee. There is clear interest on both sides, but we both have been burned in the past and have been focusing on our relationships with God.
…Guess what we will be talking about next Sunday after church over coffee. I will go into the conversation trying to avoid hoping for one outcome for another and just let it unfold. ❤

@kaylabennett3149 We didn’t get to the conversation, but we did go on a date (first one!). The conversations during the date were much deeper and more open than before, a greater focus on values and future goals. So, my heart is hopeful. Kayla, you don’t have to have the entire conversation all at once. Sometimes conversations happen in layers over time. Start with something low stakes and build from there. I pray that God inspires you with the courage and words you need to start that conversation with your person.
My ex is bothering me and I forgiven him along time ago and healed and moved on from my ex because he is very toxic and narcissistic person and very immature and childish and we we're together in high school but mistreated me so I don't want him back ever again I'm good because God is sending me a new and better person now so I waiting for this new 💕😘💕😘❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊

Yes, family ties are different. It can be damaging when we over-apply principles to the wrong context, like a family relationship versus a dating relationship. It's best to try to reorganize your priorities based upon the level of commitement that is actually present.
I don’t 100% know your situation but if I interpret it correctly, I feel you, I was dating a guy for a while who wasn’t really a believer but I told myself, God would want me to love him no matter what, Love is an action and I need to show him loyalty and commitment etc but what I didn’t realize was this applies only to your husband. This guy was not my husband, we were not married, and I should not have been treating it as so. Additionally, God advises us to be with somebody equally yoked. If you’re not married to this person, please, even though it’s hard, end it before you marry him, since you are feeling this way about it right now. What you’re feeling is conviction. You know there is something wrong. And when you know this, you will never be able to fully love this person, there won’t be peace, and there will end up being problems with fault of respect. I know it’s so hard but please explain to this person you love and respect him as a person but you cannot continue on and it’s for the better of both of you for it to be over before you get more hurt. And be easy on yourself as you heal it will all be ok but trust me if you feel this way now giving it more time won’t fix it, getting married won’t fix it, staying won’t fix it. I’ll be praying for you

Pray for me, to respect women, and know if I'm wrong in the way I'm treating them. I want to talk to them, but in a lot of instances I don't really think there is a future there. I just need to grow up honestly, flaky does kind of describe me, please pray for me

So my boyfriend and I broke up. We felt we shouldn't date since we are not ready for marriage. However, we love each other, but we need to give God our time cause this break allowed me to see how much i needed to wait on GOD, AND SEEK GODS WILL. I really want him to be my husband one day, but right now I'm waiting on Gods timing. That my desire, I know God can say NO he is not the one, or he can say yes he is. I just dont know what to do except wait. We decided to be friends for now and just and hear from God.

Yeah, none of that worked out very well. He'll text back, about a few days later. If I'm lucky. I'm the one texting him constantly. I did invite him to a dinner and not didn't go all that well. He's never invited me to anything. I feel like he's hiding me from his friends and family. I think it's over before it even began. 😕
I needed to hear this and I have been following the Lord Jesus instead because I don’t think he is pursuing me. He just keep reaching out as a friend so I think that would be it for now.

In my case , i have a friend in Christ who actually brought me closer to God i was so close to God and Jesus Christ but then suddenly in mid 2023 i started ignoring God i juss stopped praying , prayer was like a burden to me , that oh my God now i need to pray and read my Bible i didn't even read Bible daily at that time , but the guy that Father Lord has sent as my friend actually brought me closer to God seriously i thank God for this that he sent that person n we spiritually grew he is a good friend of mine , at this time m not idolizing him its juss m thankful to him that he brought me close to God juss this

Hi Mark, I'd really appreciate it if you can reply... I put up with my BFs friendship with his ex for 1 year. I explained it's not appropriate, I cried, got mad, I did everything I could. They go in the same prayer group and he calls her to drive him everywhere... Doctors appointments, concerts, shopping. They both thought it was appropriate for him to sleep at her 1 room flat while he was having renovations done in his place. This man is 63 and I don't understand how someone can think this is appropriate. Last week I found out through the pastor that she's moving to his building and he kept that from me for 2 months. I then decided to cut communication with him, as I think I'm just wasting my time on someone who doesn't have any discernment. It's hurting a lot, bc I love him and I feel like a fool. I'd like to know your opinion, as a man, of his behaviour towards his ex and the kind of relationship they want to keep, while saying he wanted to marry me, but stating he'd "never leave any of his friends for anyone in this planet". What about a man that Ive been talking to for 2 years, I never feel guilty after talking to him, contrarily I have this feeling we are meant to be together, we met very naturally, but there's a geographical distance and some cultural differences we sometimes argue about and his health, that prevents commitment and being together
in my opinion, after two years of it not progressing, I would conclude it's best to move if you are hoping for something romantic.
Im not waiting around but I dont understand how when you love someone even though its unreciprocated those feelings are to just expected to just disappear. And move on.. 😞 and if you can do that than I think it wasn't truly love to begin with.
You have to break the ungodly soul tie, and continue to worship God. Darkness can’t stay in the presence of God. He’ll remove that sting from wrongful relationships. @@ebbi3700 there is no darkness in this period there is nothing ungodly here. He's the most godly man I know. And it is that that peaked my interest. I just have to renew my mind.. and prayerfully get over these feelings. I'd rather have him as a friend than not at all.
What if your relationship is pleasing to God but struggle with doubts and fears to where you do feel guilty after talking to this man but others around you are saying He’s good I deal with heavy spiritual anxiety of disobeying God that’s my biggest fear so of course I’ll feel as though I’m disobeying but idk we both read and pray and keep God in the middle and first
If worry is a theme in your life, I would assume you would be worrying about something else if not this. So perhaps focus more on the anxiety as an issue in general rather than thinking it is all about this relationship. If the relationship is biblical, have faith that it is pleasing to God. He would give you clarity if it wasn't and if you are seeking his counsel
He told me he is no longer with interested in a text message all of a sudden. I am so broken and do not know how to move on.
A man who pray and he speaks about GOD always curse GOD when he's angry. The first time when he curse was when I told him I would have pray for him. He cursed and said don't and if I do he will stop talking to me. He then apologized. The last time his flight left and he was put up in a Hotel. He called and I tried to calm him down he then told me F@&$ me and F@&$ GOD. I said I wasn't going to communicate with him again but he called and apologized. I sent him a bible verse and it was like everything was Okay again. I blocked him because, It was very disrespectful and he saw it as He asked GOD for forgiveness and he was mad. I don't know if I am overreacting.

This is verbal abuse and will always escalate. Pray for him but disconnect from him completely, God's plan for us is never to be abused in any form

Very good tips! Thank you! What about a guy in church that always tries to approach me with questions and I feel like I should respond with short answers. And not grow the conversation. He still does not get the hint that I am not interested to get to know him deeper. I don't encourage him. But don't want to be rude. I try to avoid him. But feel like at this point, he has tried for years and still is not getting it. So I need to say that I am not interested. How does one do that?
If he's not expressed romantic interest, I wouldn't say anything. I would just keep doing what you're doing. If he ever brings up anything romantic, then I would tell him you are not interested. Sometimes church has people with different personalities than us or people who are socially awkward and don't pick up on normal social cues, so just being kind and then moving on with your day is probably the best bet. Just telling him you don't want to speak to him even though he's not asked for anything romantic would probably be rude. Just my thoughts!

I totally agree with Mark's response upfront. He said, (if) he has not expressed romantic interest, I wouldn't say anything. Why open the door by saying (you're) sensing when what you're sensing were not actual words spoken out of his mouth! This is how confusion sets in when communicating. No need to go into a long explanation of what he should do. Actively listen to what a person actually says then respond to that. Otherwise silence is best. Don't assume!
Ladies,
Before applying the first tip to the letter and moving on after three days, please make sure your inviting actually confirms the three green lights a woman has to give to a man :
1- "Yes, *I am interested* in you, and want you to pursue me",
2- "No, *This is not a joke* : I really am interested in you and *I won't make public fun of you if you dare* try your luck" and, last but not least,
3- "I'm interested in you *and no other man* , so come pursue me".
Your Boaz might actually be stuck trying to figure out whether the signs you gave him actually confirm these three green lights before attempting an approach and risking to lose his Ruth on a misreading.

I am a christian i have been in a hurt past relationship, this is a year after ago now a different guy has been showing interest but im just not feeling any emotions, i like him a little, he is a new convert not at the level im expecting a christian man to be in christ, he has a job but haven't started building yet, but i dont think thats the main problem, so im confuse to what my feelings is saying idk if its because of hurt
I'd say let him grow in Christ and face the trials of new converts, and heal your past hurts on your side, then come back and assess.
