Yeah, unfortunately that’s the case everywhere. Things are getting really serious for a lot of families, mine included. I’ve got faith that we’ll all make it through though.

This is an example of why I don't do engine builds. You spend a ton on tools that you likely use exactly once and if one little thing amongst a dozen variables is off..... well like you said, "I'm gonna set it on fire!!!".
Hahahaha, some things are best left to the professionals. But, a limited budget will make you do some crazy things.

oh brother, I know and feel this type of pain. It looks like you may have to take the long route to ensure things are done right - but at least you'll probably end up being this M96 Porsche engine guru after all this! It'll get easier and worth the sweet end-result the car God's will grant you when complete.
Better to do it right now, because it will take way longer to do it later down the road
