These are the VERY BUSY elevators at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Duluth. These were originally Westinghouse with AE buttons, but they got a modernization by Schindler with Innovation Prestige and Innovation Bar Buttons (in Green!). There are three of these, and one of the 3 cars doubles as the buildings service elevator. 3 cars for 16 floors is not enough if you ask me. These can get very busy as seen in the video during peak times. Destination dispatch could be very helpful here. Anyway, these have nice cabs, run well, and they seem to be quick overall if they aren't busy. This is a very nice modernization, but these honestly seemed perfectly fine in their original state as Westinghouses. I do like the green bar buttons though!

Ooh green innovation! Rare! For a modernization these look quite nice. Again, it’s too bad these are no longer Westinghouse. Neat elevators! Schindler did a good job!
If you make it up to Duluth, MN again, You should check out the La Quinta Suites they have some nice Schindlers and the Pier b resort also has some awesome Schindlers.
I remember riding those too when they were original ,. Sad to see them modded and also 3 with no dedicated service is not enough for that hotel. GLB is Great Lakes Ballroom
also the fan sounds like a Dover hydraulic elevator motor
These were modded a few years ago. I stayed in this hotel in 2014 and they were original. These all had AE.
Yup, I saw a video. Sad loss.
These actually had no outside indicators or lanterns... and had dinner bells WAY back when this place opened up as the Normandy Inn when I was little. I literally live a block away. I would've got you in to our noisy jerky Impulse traction if I knew...
I'll let you know next time!
Why was this filmed 7/5/21
When was this modded
Wait a second. 1st floor is Lyric?
Lyric is the street name.
@@Skivator dang. that's interesting
@@Skivator Actually Lyric is the restaurant. (Long before this place was built... and before my time... the Lyric Theater was here. Also, back in the 80s, the bar was called Lyric but the restaurant was Porters.) The street level is Superior St. by the way.
@@Dana_Danarosana really?
@@NeilPrasad_1905 yes
I dislike how the alarm button is universal when the other buttons are prestige
That's a common thing for some reason.
@@Skivator oh ok
Probably why the alarm is universal so people can see the alarm better besides it’s good it has red since it’s an emergency use only type of thing
@@Laa1213 well they could have used an innovation prestige alarm button instead of a innovation universal alarm button
