    I decided for this video to let the guitar to the talking and really let you decide if it's a good guitar. There's a mix of playing to a backing track and just noodling on my own with various sounds throughout.
    What do you think to this style of video and would you like to see more of it?

  • @MechaUsagi
    @MechaUsagi 2 года назад +7

    Great video. The sound when you cut between the two guitars playing the same music is the closest match I've seen in any guitar comparison video.

    Not just for beginners. If you like to tinker it's a cheap mod platform to make it truly your own. Mine is arriving in a few days and I'm changing the tuners to locking and a nice SD pickup set plus getting the neck scalloped because that will make it look even cooler than it does.

    Well I totally agree with what you said! I think that it is an excellent guitar for a beginner, when I bought my first one, it was at the same price but it was way less playable, it sounded like shit and had tons of tuning and white noise issues. Then, the HB looks dope, that shape and the colour is awesome! Definetely a good guitar to start with!
    Loved your review too! I honestly loved all of your sounds and how you explained everything a beginner needs to know when buying a guitar. Great vid, watched it till the end!

    I am a bassist, but decided to get this one as my first electric guitar. Since i like to write my songs on guitar, sometimes i like to hear it on electric instead of my acoustic, not having to ask my guitarist to play it for me.
    Always loved the design of the tele, so 99€ was a non-brainer.

    The Harley Benton is quite a nice surprise, also recently a Harley Benton Tele and it's really good, only thing I would change is the machine heads.

    I absolutely love this guitar, despite being heavy, I love it to death. I’m actually taking out the humbuckers that I’ve already put in there with a single bridge Seymour invader with a coil tap with locking tuners. I’ve definitely saved those pickups it came with since they sound awesome

    Bought this guitar two months ago. It’s an awesome guitar! But do you happen to know which string gauge this guitar came with? I assume it’s 9’s but I’m not sure. I’m still playing with the regular strings that came with this guitar but I want to switch to Ernie ball/D’addario.

    • @harrychrisrobin
      @harrychrisrobin  2 года назад +1

      nice one. it comes with 10s, it says so on the details on the website and on screen when i go over the specs I think. I prefer playing with 10s than 9s

    Does anybody know if a fender telecaster pick guard will fit this? If I get one I want to change it to a matching black.

    It seems that action is kind of high, and that you are having hard times playing it at times because of that. Am I wrong?

    I'm not a huge fan of that pick guard, but you really can't complain for the money.
    I notice the limited edition strap for the KR-1 is £84.99 🤣

      I’m not either. The design is printed on so at some point I’d swap it out but I’m in no rush.

    The locking heads on my guitar rn arent so great either its a must i think to get locking tuners on this one or like a nice hot nailbomber if you want it to be at your level:>

    • @harrychrisrobin
      @harrychrisrobin  2 года назад

      the tuners really do have to be changed out. The pickups, not so much, putting really good pickups in might be a waste.

    Does it have neck dive? because of the basswood body

    • @harrychrisrobin
      @harrychrisrobin  2 года назад

      Great question. No it doesn’t. The body is heavier than the neck so it’ll hold its position on its own
