I was fit yesterday and one of the changes was flattening the lie to 2 degrees. My question, though, is would this be consistent with every club manufacturer? Taylormade seems to have clubs like the Sim2 Max irons that are already built upright...so I would think that I would have to have them built even flatter? Thoughts?
Good question. Yes there isn’t an industry standard “standard lie”. So that’s the reason you would have made the decision on the head before you finalise lie angle. If you are hitting the SiM2 Max demo and need to go two degrees flat of that then it’s fine. However that 2 degrees flat in TaylorMade would be what Mizuno has as standard. So as long as you were fit on the correct head then you will be fine.
Excellent overview, Aaron.
Thanks, Ray.
Great video mate, never been for a fitting so really enjoy these videos.
Glad you enjoyed
Great overview, thanks as fitting can seem daunting 👍
Thanks!!
Where is your fitting shop ?
This is based on a right handed golfer. For the lie angle they would be reversed for a lefty.
