I honestly loved Sadie’s character and thought she meshed very well with Arthur. Some of my favorite missions in RDR2 were the missions that involved Arthur and Sadie, they had fantastic banter.

They're TOO alike though. And that doesn't make good for couples in all honesty and truth. Would've lead them to their deaths if hypothetically they had a romance. "Bonnie and Clyde" type of Romance. Mary Was Truly good for him. She was the anchor to his sail, kept him still and mind at ease in moments when everything around him was crashing in at once. He could reflect on his wrongs and rights when he saw her. She was the perfect polar opposite.

Mary Beth just had a school girl crush on Arthur, no homo but he is a handsome man. Charlotte probably developed feelings but clearly Arthur was a sick man with not much time left. If John and Jack didn't exist, then Abigail may have been Arthur's wife because there is a slight hint at something. Sadie is a clear candidate and this was a great video pointing it out.

I also thought there was a possible romantic connection between Arthur and Sadie. The flirting was obvious to me, and her concern for his health seems to come more from romantic feelings she has developed for than, just friendship. Charles Smith was concerned once he learned about his condition, but nowhere near as much as Sadie. Then there's the look in her eyes when her and Arthur part ways for the last time. I like Sadie, she definitely needs to have her red dead redemption game.
Abigail too was broken up about Arthur. I think she viewed Arthur as a brother. I think the reason Sadie didn't break down like Abigail did, quite frankly, because she had to be strong, as she had to get Abigail to Copperhead landing.
They need to put that Arthur and Sadie stuff back in the game

actually you can't read too much into Sadie's use of "Honey" as it's a southern/western colloquialism that's used by women and can mean anything from "love" to" good friend " just in a friendly manner. In short it's just how people talk in my area of the country.
shinrugal I’m from the south too and can back that stuff up ya, but with Sadie I’m pretty sure it’s in a tone and implication she’s into him. Like I feel Sadie helps out too much, fights in key moments with Arthur too much, and changes too much plus showing up in the epilogue not to have been involved with John or Arthur and since John does always remain faithful despite being dumb and young early game, pretty much has to mean Sadie and Arthur had a lot more to them then we saw.

That's true southern people always say honey. Though in this scenario it's different since never does Sadie ever use to the word honey in her vocabulary, she doesn't ever call any of them that. She's also seen as this bad ass aggressive woman, so seeing the softer side "honey" would imply more here.
It was out of intimacy tone. This is why she moves her eyes to left on purpose. Her moving her eyes is implying when she calls him a better sharpshooter is a flat out lie. She's not telling him the truth.
The truth is she's scared of losing him and doesn't want him hurt. She wouldn't even let him row the boat. It definitely wasn't out of common courtesy/typical southern chat but intimacy.
You can't put 2019 standards on words used in the 1800's. It wasn't until the 1800's that the word "pretty" meant physically attractive... in fact, "pretty" used to mean "clever". So her using "honey" doesn't necessarily mean it was used interchangeably with "friend"
Look in Arthur's journal in the Horseshoe Overlook chapter after Arthur takes Jack fishing. He talks about Abigail Roberts/Marsten and says "Many years ago before she fell so hard for that fool Marston, perhaps I should have married her. I think part of me has always thought that, yet. God damn you Mary!". So that could be another love interest. Would really have shed a different light on everyone's relationship..

I took her saying take what you want was her understanding that she wouldn't have any of those things to give away if he didn't help her. Indeed she had strong feelings for him more as a savior than a lover. This has been good and mature banter on a truly great game.
Another piece of info is Arthur writing positively of Black Belle (I think the only other female gunslinger in the whole game) in his journal in an admirable way. He wrote something of taking a liking to her if she were younger, or something like that.
Since the optional side-mission appears early in the game where you meet Black Belle perhaps that would have been a foreshadowing originally intended to hint at the potential love between Arthur and Sadie.
Having Sadie as a love interest would have been a great oppertunity. Especially since Arthur lost not only his first family, but Mary. It would have given him some hope of happiness, as well as Sadie.

I really wish they'd kept the Arthur+Sadie romance! Without it it seems like her character is criminally underused throughout most of the game. She becomes awesome in chapter 3, but doesn't do that much besides a few key moments until chapter 6! Having the romance would've made the ending even more heart breaking knowing that the two of them would never get their happy ending.

It definitely couldn't of been anyone but Sadie. All the other relationships Arthur has in the game with women just give the dead end feel immediately. With Sadie there was definitely something there and hope for a future with her. We all wanted the story book ending for Arthur, but that's what makes the game great. I believe this was the ending they wanted, but like they said it complicated things too much and the ending we got was damn near perfect. Not the ending we wanted, but a damn good one. It really would have been great to play as Arthur and Sadie in the epilogue together building their ranch rather than Marston's but oh well.

Sadie went after Micah's gang with the same viciousness as she did with the O'Driscolls after they killed Jake. She took a knife to the gut and still crawled up a mountain to get to Micah. It's pretty obvious she loved Arthur. I'm glad it was never stated though.

I like Sadie Adler and her southern accent
They had a missed opportunity with this where there could have been more missions between the two, co-op style. Killing Arthur made the story more meaningful and redeemed Arthur, but they could have kept him alive and not hurt the continuity. All they would have had him do is help John in the Epilogue and then have him leave at the end with Sadie. Definitely means more to the story that he died though.

I can't help but have the biggest video game crush on Mary-Beth and her freckles, that looong hair, and her hopeless romantic personality.

Sadie was the best female character on the game loved her and would of liked to have seen more storylines with her. Loved the close friendship with her and Arthur had, would of been interesting to see if they would of become a real romantic couple as I do think they suited each other.

My guess before watching the video would be Mary Beth, In fact during my play through I was actively trying and failing to get them to hook up. My reasoning was because of a few things.
1. She seems to see the best in Arthur refering to him as romantic at one point randomly while chatting in camp. I think she has a bit of a crush.
2. A mission early on you escort Tilly, Karen and Mary oh and Uncle aswell to town on the way you have the opportunaty to help a stranger get his horses back she seemed impressed.
And while in town she is the only one of the girls who stayed out of trouble and provided a lead for future work.
3. She has a character arch from the start, she is a writer she has a plan for her future other than the outlaw life, I feel she would have moved on from the gang in time if things had not gone wrong anyway.
I think these things Arthur liked I think he wanted a normal life certainly later in the game and arguably she was the most conventionly normal girl in the camp, a bit like the Arthurs first love (the other Mary).
In fact the one thing that troubles and makes me doubt my theory is the fact they have the same first name. Of couse it is possible I have dated girls who have had the same name as previous girlfriends.
But would a story writer writing the games script use the same name for 2 love interests?
Anyway I shall actually watch the video now Im interested to see if you added her.
This game would be much more satisfying with Arthur in it after the epilogue. This switching to John and working his way to his own ranch thing seems thrown together in my view.
The game was about Arthur, he didn't need to die, he could have killed Micah himself after 7 years and ended up with the money and left opportunities to build more games around this character.

Chapt 2. after rescuing Sean, there was a party that night. Arthur sat with the guys awhile, and later, I had him stroll over to Abigail and Sadie (sitting on a rock). After greeting both, Abigail left, and I had Arthur alternate between standing beside Sadie and in front of her. After letting him stay still (without control in hand) I saw dialogue appear but no voice. There were things like "Just say you love me..." "I can't be with an outlaw..." and so on. Maybe the subtext appeared with no voice because they didn't scrap all of the programming.
Yeah I felt like they intended for Sadie and Arthur to have a romantic relationship also in the mission where you kill the last of the odriscolls she tells Arthur that he’s the best man she has known other than her husband. Sucks that some of us didn’t get this but great game in the end.
It was kind of obvious from the start that Sadie and Arthur had chemistry. I was pretty sure they're gonna hitch after the O'Driscoll revenge mission when she sat down all bloody and says something along the lines "Aside from my Jake, you're the best man I've known." She doesn't say it in a praise kind of way, more like an affection kind. It's clear that from all the gang members she feels the most about Arthur.

I always felt the same. Playing as Arthur. Sadie was the only only women Arthur looked out for but it was a deeper connection.
Sadie was lost and alone and Arthur himself felt very alone.
He looked out for Sadie out of love but more like family. Loving her would only get her killed. They'd get each other killed.
as SOON as I finished helping mary with her brother I thought... darn I wanted him to have a love interest. Then, sadie came along in the Rhodes mission and I finally saw a vision of a great, well-rounded story Rockstar created(not saying it's not perfect as is), but alas, my Hope's were cheated
Maybe in a dlc rockstar will develop this romance.

I think Marybeth might have been in love with Kieran. So they were supposed to be a tragic ship.
Arthur and Sadie makes more sense. Her attitude is perfect for him. Mary can't handle Arthur's rough nature while Sadie has a matching temperament.
I ship Sadie and Arthur it would be cool as an alternate ending or timeline. Maybe a DLC...
Arthur always calls Tilly "my lady" and also tells her several times throughout the story that he won't let anything bad happen to her.
I've thought Sadie was the one from my first play through. To me it was pretty obvious. It was more of an unspoken thing. If they had gotten together it would have muddied the waters and diluted the ending which was (and is) superbly tragic.
Plot twist the epilogue is actually Arthur and Sadies life if Arthur didn’t die

Yeah, if things went differently, I could see it happening. But I think, it was platonic love mostly. But maybe if Sadie had more time to get past her husband's death, and Arthur more open to love again given the chance, they definitely couldve.
