I wish this country could go back to a time when keeping political opinions to yourselves was the norm. It was a much healthier society when religion & politics were considered personal information, that was off limits for regular everyday conversation. Now people not only feel the need to vomit all of their opinions on the most contentious issues right on your lap but they also demand that you divulge your opinions to everyone. God forbid you don’t agree 100% with them, if you don’t you are filled with hate, ignorance, & don’t deserve to be apart of civil society. It’s exhausting

Also, Tyrone Biggums (I think I spelled that right) and most definitely Dave being the unknowing, blind leader of the KKK. One of the GREATEST skits and bits of comedy in general ever created!

Mike Cummings. Twice! And one of the times he also had a prostitute in the hotel room. And they didn’t get him out of office UNTIL the second time. Lol. Edit: That also makes me think of the Canadian official [cant recall his name at the moment], who was caught smoking crack. He was even unapologetic about it. Took him a few times getting caught before they ousted him too.
When Dave was telling the joke about a Mayor using cocaine, he was talking about Mayor Marion Barry. He was the black Mayor of Washington DC who was caught by the FBI on hidden servalence video tape with cocaine back in 1990.
Wanna say him & Neal Brennan worked on getting The Chappelle show out on Comedy Central. Know he was the director and think producer? He wrote the skits with Dave & others too
I assume he's referring to Marion Barry, who was a mayor of DC during the 80s. He resigned after being caught doing coke. The mayor of Toronto, Rob (?) Ford, on the other hand, was caught on video smoking crack. Twice.
Dave Chappelle was from the Washington DC area where this was filmed. He was referring to former DC mayor Marion Barry. Barry was caught in a hotel with a bunch of hookers and coke.
Toronto's Mayor was caught with a history of doing cocaine. His brother is the Mayor now. I live in Ontario so it's kind of strange to hear about (somewhat) local news being talked and joked about in America.
Back in the late 1980's there was a mayor of Washington, D.C. Mayor Marion Barry who got caught up with cocaine. So, that is who he was referring to, not Toronto.
